The Vitamix Explorian E310 is a manually controlled countertop blender with a 48-ounce container, ten variable speeds and a pulse switch. Its stated capacity and small footprint may suit medium batches and small-family meals, but the published specifications do not establish blending performance, noise, or durability. Decide whether its capacity and controls fit your routine, then confirm the price, stock and warranty terms for your region before buying.
What comes with the E310?
Vitamix’s US product listing includes the motor base, one 48-ounce container and a mini-tamper. It identifies the blender as compatible with Explorian Series containers. The listing does not establish that other separately sold containers or accessories fit, so check compatibility with the E310/VM0201 before purchasing any add-on.
How much can the 48-ounce container handle?
Vitamix positions the container for medium batches and small family meals. That is the manufacturer’s guidance, not an independently tested serving-size recommendation. If you usually blend large batches, compare the capacity with the quantity you make at one time; if you often prepare a single small portion, the available information does not establish how well the E310 handles that batch size.

The US product page lists ten variable speeds and a pulse feature. Vitamix says the speed range lets users adjust texture, and describes pulse as useful for combining coarse chops with smoother purées. These are manufacturer descriptions; the available evidence does not include independent tests of results with smoothies, ice, or other ingredients.

The controls are manual rather than a set of listed automatic presets. The launch announcement describes a variable-speed dial and separate Start/Stop and Pulse switches. That arrangement gives the user direct control over starting, stopping and pulsing, but it also means choosing and monitoring the blend rather than selecting a preset program.
Will it fit on your counter?
Vitamix’s current US listing gives dimensions of 9 × 8 × 18 inches, a weight of 10.5 pounds and a 4.5-foot cord. Measure the counter space and overhead clearance where you plan to use it, including room to lift the container and handle the tamper. The figures describe the listed product; check the regional listing if buying outside the United States.

The E310 is listed for household use with a 110–120 V electrical rating on the US product page. The 2018 owner’s manual specifies 1000–1200 W and 220–240 V, 50–60 Hz, alongside dimensions of 18 inches high, 8 inches wide and 11 inches deep. Those manual electrical values are regional and should not be applied to a US-market unit. Match the appliance’s rating to your local supply before use.

Vitamix says the container can be cleaned with a self-cleaning cycle using warm water and a drop of dish soap, taking 30 to 60 seconds, and labels it dishwasher-safe. These are manufacturer claims, not independently verified cleaning results. Follow the care instructions supplied with the unit for your region.

What warranty applies?
Vitamix’s current US product page states a five-year full warranty covering parts, performance, labor and two-way shipping. The owner’s manual sets household-use conditions and notes that service may be limited to the country where the blender was sold. Confirm the terms that apply to your region and seller rather than assuming the US listing governs an international purchase.

- Choose the E310 if a 48-ounce container, manual speed adjustment and pulse control fit your usual cooking.
- Measure the 9 × 8 × 18-inch listed footprint and check storage and overhead clearance.
- Verify the electrical rating for your country and the warranty terms tied to the seller and region.
- Do not treat manufacturer descriptions as proof of tested blending results, noise level or long-term reliability.
