To download the right ViewSonic driver, look up your exact product model or serial number in ViewSonic’s official support or Download Center, then confirm the driver is listed for your computer’s operating system. Use the file-specific instructions on that product page: the general installation flow may involve extracting a ZIP, running an installer, and restarting, but the process varies by device.
Where to find the correct ViewSonic driver
Start with the product, not a generic driver search. Find the exact ViewSonic model name or serial number on the device or its documentation, then use the ViewSonic Online Support Center or the ViewSonic Global Download Center. The Download Center supports product-name lookup and provides access to product resources such as drivers and user guides.
- Open ViewSonic’s official support or Download Center.
- Search for the exact product name or serial number. Check the result carefully; similar model names can refer to different products.
- Open the matching product page and find its driver or download section.
- Check the operating-system listing before downloading. Select a file specifically offered for the computer’s operating system and the device model.
ViewSonic sells different kinds of products, including monitors, projectors, ViewBoards, and pen displays. Do not assume that a monitor’s driver or installation directions apply to another product family. The exact product page is the authority for the file and procedure.

How to install a downloaded driver
ViewSonic’s published guidance describes a general download-and-install route, but file formats and steps can differ by model. Follow the directions on the product’s current download page if they differ from this overview.

- Open the downloaded file, or save it and run it from your computer.
- If the download is a ZIP archive, extract its contents first. Open the extracted folder and follow any included instructions.
- Run the installer, if the package provides one, and follow its prompts.
- Restart the computer if the installation instructions request it; ViewSonic’s general guidance includes restarting after installation.
Do not choose a driver just because its name looks close to your model. If the product listing does not identify your operating system, or you cannot tell which file applies, check with ViewSonic support before installing it.
What if the driver is missing or the product is older?
Not every older product resource will necessarily be online. ViewSonic’s Download Center says drivers, software, and user guides are available for at least 10 years after a product’s last distribution for sale. This is ViewSonic’s stated availability policy, not a guarantee that every file is currently listed.

If you cannot find the model or its driver, use the ViewSonic Support Center to contact Customer Support. ViewSonic also provides a Knowledge Base. Provide the product’s exact model or serial number and the computer’s operating system so support can identify the right resource.
Legacy installation CDs and INF files
ViewSonic has documented an older installation-CD route for some monitor installations. In a custom installation, that guidance says to select the ViewSonic INF file. Treat this as a legacy, model-dependent option—not as the current installation method for every ViewSonic product. The article’s references to older Windows folder versions are historical and should not be taken as current compatibility advice.

Use an INF file only when the instructions for your particular device and operating system call for it. If the current product page offers a driver download, follow that page’s directions instead of applying an old CD workflow by default.
