If you want one camera view for visitors and another for packages at your feet, the eufy Video Doorbell E340 is the clearest match among the products documented here. It combines a forward-facing camera with a downward-facing camera aimed at the floor in front of the door, plus integrated dual lights for color night vision. The lights are intended to illuminate the doorbell camera’s scene—not to replace a porch or area floodlight.
Other products solve different problems. The older eufy Video Doorbell Dual 2K Battery is a separate model with its own specifications. Reolink Duo Floodlight WiFi provides two lenses, a 180-degree view and built-in floodlights, but it is an outdoor security camera rather than a doorbell. Philips’ 7000 Series is a comparison candidate because TechRadar reports dual cameras, although lighting and availability require confirmation from Philips for your market.
What counts as a dual-camera video doorbell?
A dual-camera doorbell uses two image sensors or two distinct viewing directions to cover more than the visitor’s face. The useful distinction is where the second camera points:

- Doorstep or package view: The second lens looks down toward the threshold, parcel area and a visitor’s hands.
- Side or wide-angle view: The second lens expands horizontal coverage but may not show objects directly below the doorbell.
- Separate outdoor camera: A dual-lens camera may cover a yard or driveway while having no doorbell button, chime function or visitor-focused design.
For package visibility, the direction of the second camera matters more than the product’s marketing label. A camera advertised as “dual lens” is not automatically a package-view doorbell.

Two views aimed at the visitor and the doorstep
The E340’s official product description identifies two cameras: a forward-facing camera for people and a downward-facing camera covering the floor at the door. That arrangement directly addresses the common blind spot in conventional doorbells, where a parcel placed below the lens can be hidden by the doorbell housing or the visitor’s body.
The downward view is also useful for checking whether an item is still at the threshold. It does not guarantee that every package, step or approach path will be visible: mounting height, door recesses, railings, weather, field of view and the parcel’s position still determine what appears in the image. Check the live view from the proposed mounting position before drilling.
Integrated lighting for color night vision
The manufacturer describes a dual-light system for color night vision and states clear nighttime viewing up to 16 feet (5 meters). This is camera-assistance lighting. It should not be treated as evidence that the E340 can illuminate a driveway, a whole porch or a garden like a floodlight.
If your priority is recognizing a person and seeing a package after dark, integrated lights can be valuable. If your priority is lighting a large area for navigation or deterrence, plan a separate porch or exterior light, or choose a floodlight camera designed for area coverage.
Power, protection and smart-home features
The E340 product page lists wired or battery power, IP65 weather protection, two-way communication, 2K clarity, Alexa support and Google Voice Assistant support. The exact installation method, regional listing and current feature availability should be confirmed before purchase, because specifications and supported services can vary by market.

“Wired or battery” does not by itself tell you whether your existing transformer is suitable, how often a battery must be charged, or whether a particular wiring arrangement provides continuous operation. Treat those as installation questions to verify for the exact regional model.

Do you need existing doorbell wiring?
Not necessarily. The E340 is described as supporting wired or battery power, so a home without usable doorbell wiring can still be considered. However, “supports wiring” and “works with every doorbell circuit” are different claims. Before choosing wired installation, identify the transformer rating, the existing chime arrangement and whether the product’s regional manual lists that setup as compatible.

- Your entrance has no existing low-voltage doorbell cable.
- You rent or do not want to alter the wiring.
- The mounting position is difficult to reach with a cable.
- You accept periodic charging and possible downtime during charging.
Battery operation is convenient, but the useful interval between charges depends on activity, recording length, wireless conditions, temperature and settings. Do not apply the older Dual 2K Battery’s six-month estimate to E340. That estimate is conditional: eufy Support specifies ten events per day with 20 seconds of recording per event for the older model.
When wired installation makes sense
- You already have suitable low-voltage wiring at the door.
- The doorway receives frequent motion and you want to avoid routine battery charging.
- You can verify transformer and wiring compatibility for the exact model and region.
Turn off power at the appropriate breaker before handling existing wiring, follow the manufacturer’s wiring diagram and use a qualified electrician when the circuit or transformer is uncertain. The older Dual 2K Battery specification explicitly lists 8–24 V existing doorbell wiring; that range belongs to that model and should not be assumed for E340.
What the lighting can—and cannot—do
Color night vision versus floodlighting
Night-vision assistance and floodlighting serve different purposes. A doorbell’s integrated lights are positioned and controlled to help its sensors produce a more useful image. A floodlight camera uses substantially broader illumination to cover an area around the camera.

For the E340, the documented claim is integrated dual lights, color night vision and clear nighttime viewing up to 16 feet (5 meters). The claim does not establish porch-wide illumination, a selectable floodlight mode, brightness in lumens or coverage beyond that viewing distance.
Reolink Duo Floodlight WiFi illustrates the other category. Its documented 180-degree view and built-in floodlights are suited to broad exterior monitoring, but the product is an outdoor security camera rather than a doorbell. It will not automatically provide a visitor button, doorbell chime workflow or a downward package view at the threshold.

Package visibility: a practical installation check
Before installing any dual-camera doorbell, test the intended view rather than relying only on the product name.
- Mark the mounting position. Hold the doorbell at the proposed height and angle without permanently fixing it.
- Place a representative package. Use a box roughly similar to the deliveries you receive and put it where couriers normally leave items.
- Check both views. Confirm that the forward camera shows a person’s face and that the downward camera shows the box, the threshold and enough surrounding floor to distinguish a delivered parcel from an empty doorway.
- Test the door swing and approach. Make sure the door, storm door, railing or wall does not block the lower view.
- Repeat after dark. Verify that the integrated lights produce a usable image and that nearby reflective surfaces do not create glare.
- Confirm wireless and power access. Check signal strength at the final position and make sure a battery can be removed for charging or that the planned wiring reaches the terminals.
This test also reveals limitations that no specification table can settle, such as a recessed doorway, a very low step or a package placed outside the camera’s downward field.
Storage and recording questions to settle before purchase
Dual cameras can create two streams or more image data than a single-lens doorbell, so recording details matter. The material documented for E340 does not establish a specific storage hub requirement, exact local-storage compatibility, cloud plan, retention period or whether every feature works without a subscription. Verify those points for the exact E340 listing and region before adding a hub or accessory to your order.

Do not assume that an accessory made for another eufy doorbell is compatible with E340. Model names that include “Dual,” “2K” or “Battery” are not enough to establish shared storage, mounting hardware, batteries or wiring requirements.
For any candidate, check:
- Whether both camera views are recorded or only shown live.
- Whether local storage, cloud storage or both are supported.
- Whether a separate hub is required for recording or remote access.
- How long recordings are retained and what event limits apply.
- Whether two-way talk, notifications and night-color footage work under the chosen storage plan.
Keeping similarly named models separate
The eufy Video Doorbell Dual 2K Battery is an older, distinct product. eufy Support lists 2K resolution as 2560×1920, IP65 weatherproofing, a 16-foot (5-meter) night-vision range, battery or 8–24 V wiring, and a six-month battery-life estimate under ten events per day with 20 seconds of recording each.
Those are useful figures when evaluating that exact model. They are not automatically E340 specifications. The E340 page separately documents two cameras, integrated dual lights, wired or battery power, IP65 protection, two-way communication, Alexa and Google Voice Assistant support, and 2K clarity, but the older model’s conditional battery estimate and resolution notation should not be transferred without an E340-specific source.

TechRadar reports that the Philips 7000 Series has dual cameras. That makes it worth checking if you are comparing doorbells with more than one view. The available evidence here does not establish built-in visible lighting, exact power choices, storage behavior or availability in every market, so those details must come from Philips’ current regional documentation.
More generally, compare the exact variant rather than a brand family. Reolink’s doorbell range demonstrates why: wired, PoE and battery versions can differ materially in power delivery, installation and recording behavior. A statement that a brand sells a battery doorbell does not establish that a PoE or wired variant has the same features.

A buying decision framework
Choose E340 when the doorstep is the priority
Select the E340 category when you want the second camera specifically aimed at the floor in front of the door, together with integrated lights for color night viewing. It is the most direct fit for a visitor-plus-package scenario in the documented set.
Choose the older Dual 2K Battery only for its exact specification set
The older Dual 2K Battery may suit someone who specifically needs its documented 8–24 V wiring range, 2K (2560×1920) specification or conditional six-month battery estimate. Confirm age, regional support, replacement-battery arrangements and current availability before committing to an older product.
Choose a floodlight camera for area coverage
Choose a product such as Reolink Duo Floodlight WiFi only when your main objective is broad exterior surveillance and floodlight illumination. Add a true doorbell if you also need a visitor button, two-way visitor interaction and a doorstep-focused view.

Wait for documentation when a key feature is unverified
If visible lighting, storage, voltage compatibility or local availability is essential, do not infer it from a retailer title or a similar model. Require an official specification or manual for the exact regional variant.
Installation and troubleshooting checklist
The lower camera does not show packages
- Move the mounting position or adjust its angle so the threshold is inside the downward view.
- Check for a deep recess, wall edge, railing or storm door blocking the floor.
- Repeat the test with a package at the actual delivery location, not directly beneath the camera.
Night images are dark or washed out
- Confirm that the integrated lights are enabled in the camera settings.
- Look for reflective house numbers, glass or bright nearby lamps causing glare.
- Add separate porch lighting if the area itself needs illumination; do not expect doorbell night-vision lights to act as a floodlight.
The wired installation will not power the doorbell
- Verify the transformer rating and wiring against the exact model manual.
- Check whether the existing chime or wiring arrangement is supported.

Battery life is shorter than expected
- Review motion sensitivity, activity zones and recording duration.
- Account for frequent events, weak wireless signal and cold weather.
- Do not use the older Dual 2K Battery’s six-month estimate as an E340 guarantee; that figure was measured under the older model’s stated ten-event, 20-second-per-event condition.

For a genuine dual-camera video doorbell with doorstep coverage and built-in night-vision lighting, the eufy Video Doorbell E340 is the strongest documented match. Its forward and downward views address people and packages, while its dual lights support color night vision to a stated 16 feet (5 meters). Those lights are not a substitute for floodlighting.
Keep the older eufy Video Doorbell Dual 2K Battery’s specifications separate, and choose a dual-lens floodlight camera only when broad outdoor illumination matters more than a doorbell interface. Before buying, verify the exact model’s power, storage, regional availability and accessory compatibility.
