First identify your Verizon service: 5G Home uses my.router or 192.168.0.1; Fios uses myfiosgateway.com or 192.168.1.1 for advanced settings. These addresses are not interchangeable. Connect to the router, open the matching address in a browser, and sign in using the administrator credentials printed on its label.
Which Verizon router settings page should you open?
Choose by service and router family before entering an address. The label on the router can help identify its model; Verizon lists Fios models including G3100, CR1000A, and CR1000B in its Fios router FAQ.
| Service | Local settings address | Default credential guidance | Other management route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Verizon 5G Home | my.router or 192.168.0.1 |
Use the WebGUI password printed on the bottom of the router. | Local WebGUI |
| Verizon Fios | myfiosgateway.com or 192.168.1.1 for advanced settings |
Default username is admin; the unique default administrator password is on the rear label. |
My Verizon can also manage Fios settings. |
How to sign in to a Verizon 5G Home Router
- Connect your computer, phone, or tablet to the 5G Home Router over Wi-Fi or by wired connection. Verizon requires the device used for access to have an active connection to the router. See Verizon’s 5G Home Router access instructions.
- Open a browser and enter
my.routeror192.168.0.1in the address bar. Use Verizon’s support instructions if the page does not open. - Enter the WebGUI password printed on the bottom of the router. This password is for the administrator interface, not necessarily the password you use to join Wi-Fi.
How to sign in to a Verizon Fios router
- Connect to your Fios router’s network.
- For advanced settings, open a browser and enter
myfiosgateway.comor192.168.1.1. Verizon documents these options in its Fios router FAQ. - Use
adminas the default username and the unique default administrator password on the router’s rear label, unless you have changed the credentials.
If you want to manage Fios settings without using the local advanced-settings page, Verizon also provides settings management through My Verizon.

What to do if the password or page does not work
Check the router label and the correct address
Confirm that you selected the address for your service and that you are connected to the router. The 5G Home default WebGUI password is on the bottom; Verizon’s Fios FAQ points to the rear label for the default administrator password. A password changed previously may no longer match the label.

- The latest Wi-Fi generation, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ax) with speeds averaging 60% faster on 2.4 GHz and 38% faster on 5 GHz than previous Verizon Wi-Fi routers*
- Tri-band 4x4 antennas, increasing Wi-Fi coverage by an average of 63%*
- 4 Gigabit LAN + 1 Gigabit WAN, MoCA2.5 + LAN MoCA1.1 WAN
- Automatic Band switching between 2.4GH and 5.8GH Band and 150% more Wi-Fi range than G1100
- Self-Organizing Network technology for automatic band steering and single Wi-Fi Network name
Recover a forgotten 5G Home administrator password
On the 5G Home sign-in page, choose Forgot Admin Password? and answer the security question to reset it, as described in Verizon’s access instructions. The administrator password and Wi-Fi join password have different roles; changing or forgetting one does not make them interchangeable.
Use the appropriate Fios management route
For Fios, try the local address for advanced settings or My Verizon for settings management. If neither works, verify the router model and consult Verizon’s model-specific router help.

- DUAL-BAND WIFI 6 ROUTER: Wi-Fi 6(802.11ax) technology achieves faster speeds, greater capacity and reduced network congestion compared to the previous gen. All WiFi routers require a separate modem. Dual-Band WiFi routers do not support the 6 GHz band.
- AX1800: Enjoy smoother and more stable streaming, gaming, downloading with 1.8 Gbps total bandwidth (up to 1200 Mbps on 5 GHz and up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz). Performance varies by conditions, distance to devices, and obstacles such as walls.
- CONNECT MORE DEVICES: Wi-Fi 6 technology communicates more data to more devices simultaneously using revolutionary OFDMA technology
- EXTENSIVE COVERAGE: Achieve the strong, reliable WiFi coverage with Archer AX1800 as it focuses signal strength to your devices far away using Beamforming technology, 4 high-gain antennas and an advanced front-end module (FEM) chipset
- OUR CYBERSECURITY COMMITMENT: TP-Link is a signatory of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Secure-by-Design pledge. This device is designed, built, and maintained, with advanced security as a core requirement.
What can you change in the 5G Home WebGUI?
Verizon’s 5G Home LAN settings include the router IP address, subnet mask, DNS selection, DHCP on/off, DHCP start and end addresses, and lease time. Availability and labels can depend on the router model and interface. Verizon cautions: “Changing advanced settings (e.g., IP address, Subnet mask, etc.) may be harmful to the stability, performance and security of the 5G Home Router.” See its Configure LAN Settings guide.
- Change only settings you understand, and record their current values before editing.
- Make one change at a time so you can identify what caused a problem.
- If connectivity fails after a change, use Verizon’s model-specific help rather than treating a factory reset as the first fix.
Take particular care with Wi-Fi settings: Verizon warns that disabling Wi-Fi through the admin page can leave you unable to re-enable it after a factory reset. Its 5G Home access instructions explain this risk. A wired connection can provide another way to reach the router, but Wi-Fi access is also supported.
