To access a Verizon router’s settings, connect to that router over Wi-Fi or Ethernet, open the address listed for its router family, and sign in with its admin or WebGUI password. Verizon uses different addresses for different equipment, so identify your router before trying to log in. The admin password is separate from the Wi-Fi password used to join the network.

Choose the login address for your Verizon router

Use the row that matches your device or service. These local pages work only while your device is connected to the router or gateway you want to manage.

Router or service Address to open Login details
Verizon Router mynetworksettings.com or https://192.168.1.1 Admin password; check the router’s rear label for default information. Verizon instructions
Verizon 5G Home Router my.router or 192.168.0.1 Default WebGUI password is on the router’s bottom label. Verizon instructions
Verizon Internet Gateway: WNC-CR200A or ARC-XCI55AX mynetworksettings.com or https://192.168.1.1 Sign-in details depend on the device; check its label. Verizon instructions
Verizon Internet Gateway: ASK-NCQ1338 or ASK-NCQ1338FA mynetworksettings.com or https://192.168.0.1 Sign-in details depend on the device; check its label. Verizon instructions
Fios Router myfiosgateway.com or 192.168.1.1 Username admin; use the unique default password printed on the router label. Verizon Fios FAQ

Router model names and service family matter: do not assume an address or password for one Verizon device applies to another. If you are unsure which router you have, check its label or your Verizon account before proceeding.

Sign in to the local admin page

  1. Connect to the router. Join its Wi-Fi network, or connect your computer to it with Ethernet. Verizon documents both methods for local access. A cable is optional if Wi-Fi already works.
  2. Open the matching address. Type the hostname or IP address from the table into your browser’s address bar, rather than a search box.
  3. Enter the admin credential. Use the admin or WebGUI password, not automatically the Wi-Fi password. For Fios, Verizon lists admin as the username and says the default password is unique to the router.

Verizon’s general router guide says the rear label has default network information, while its 5G Home Router instructions locate the default WebGUI password on the bottom. Check the label on your specific model.

If the password does not work

Confirm which password the page wants

The Wi-Fi password lets a device join the wireless network; the admin or WebGUI password opens router settings. Verizon explicitly distinguishes these credentials for its 5G Home Router. If you changed the admin password previously, the printed default may no longer work. Verizon’s 5G Home Router password guidance covers changing that credential.

Use the model-specific recovery option

For a 5G Home Router, Verizon documents selecting Forgot Admin Password? and answering the security question. For other models, follow the recovery instructions for that router. Some legacy Fios situations may require a factory reset after a changed password is forgotten; a reset can erase settings, so do not use it as a universal first step. Check the guidance for your device first. Fios router FAQ

If the page does not load

  • Verify the local connection. Make sure the device is connected to the Verizon router or gateway you are trying to manage. If Wi-Fi is unavailable, try Ethernet.
  • Recheck the model and address. The 5G Home Router, Internet Gateway, Fios Router, and Verizon Router may use different local addresses. Match the model number on the label to the table rather than cycling through unrelated addresses.
  • Handle a privacy warning narrowly. Verizon notes that its Internet Gateway local page may trigger a browser warning such as “Your connection is not private.” Proceed only after confirming you are connected to your own gateway and entered Verizon’s documented local address; do not treat unrelated certificate warnings as safe to ignore. Verizon Internet Gateway instructions
  • Check Wi-Fi visibility and compatibility. Verizon’s Fios support material identifies outdated wireless adapter drivers and older clients that may not work with Wi-Fi 6 as possible reasons a network name is not visible. Check for driver updates or use another supported connection method. Fios router support

Use an app or account page for routine Wi-Fi management

Logging in through a browser is useful for router settings, but supported Fios equipment can also offer routine controls through My Verizon. Verizon’s Wi-Fi Access Point FAQ says the Verizon Home app supports Wi-Fi names and passwords, equipment management, restarting, speed tests, LED settings, and parental controls. Features vary by equipment and service, and Verizon notes that some home services can only be managed on the My Verizon website. Verizon Wi-Fi Access Point FAQ

For supported Fios products, Verizon also identifies My Verizon as a way to manage Wi-Fi and guest Wi-Fi settings. App and account tools are not a substitute for the local admin address on every Verizon router.

One compatibility detail for newer Wi-Fi settings

Verizon’s Fios Wi-Fi Access Point FAQ describes WPA2/WPA3 defaults on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, and WPA3 on 6 GHz. It also warns that enabling 3-Link MLO changes the network to WPA3, which may prevent some older devices from connecting. Consider client-device compatibility before changing that setting.
