Some buyers may wait months for Valve’s Steam Frame: a Road to VR report dated October 12, 2026 says the order queue now extends into 2027. The timing is not the same for every customer. Sign in to Steam and check the Steam Frame product page for the order window Valve displays for your account.
When will I get my Steam Frame?
Road to VR reported on October 12, 2026 that Steam Frame order emails could arrive by December or in 2027, and that Valve expected to provide more timing information for the 2027 group by January. Those are broad queue updates, not a delivery estimate for every buyer. Your account’s displayed order window is the more useful estimate.

The report does not provide a backlog size, average wait, or a probability of receiving an invitation by a particular date. Avoid treating the 2027 queue update as a promise that every waitlisted customer will receive an invitation in 2027.

- Sign in to the Steam account you used to reserve or join the waitlist.
- Open the Steam Frame product page.
- Look for the order window displayed for your account. Valve’s estimate is customer-specific, so use that page rather than a general queue report.
If you do not see the expected status, confirm that you are signed in to the correct account and are viewing the product page for the model you selected. The available reporting does not establish a separate public queue position or a universal lookup date.

Does being on the waitlist mean I have a reservation?
No. A reservation means a unit is reserved for you, with an invitation to purchase arriving later. A waitlist is behind customers who already have reservations in the same region: Valve begins drawing from a region’s waitlist only after exhausting that region’s reservation queue. A waitlisted buyer may move up if reservation holders cancel, and Valve says future production runs are offered in waitlist order.
When a reservation holder receives an invitation, Valve’s FAQ gives them 72 hours to complete the purchase. Missing that window can affect the reservation queue, but the cited information does not specify an individual buyer’s resulting position or timing.

What determines my place in the Steam Frame queue?
Signup date and randomization
Valve says it randomized signups on September 17, 2026. Signups made after that date go to the back of the waitlist. The available information does not give a buyer’s exact numbered position.
Model and region
Valve maintains separate lists by selected model and shipping region. The product page identifies 256GB and 1TB kits. Valve’s FAQ says customers cannot change their selected model after randomization, so the model chosen at signup matters.

Lists are separate for North America, the UK/EU, and Australia. For Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, Valve directs customers to its official distributor, Komodo. Valve says Steam Frame will ship in South Korea at a later date.

- Check the logged-in Steam Frame page for your account’s order window rather than relying on another buyer’s estimate.
- Watch the email associated with your Steam account for an invitation, and act within the 72-hour purchase window if you receive one.
- Confirm that your signup used the intended model and shipping region; the lists are separate and Valve says the model cannot be changed after randomization.
- Use Valve’s product page to review listed accessories, including Zenni prescription inserts and an Arcturus Vision camera. Their mention does not establish availability through Amazon or another marketplace.
Valve’s Steam Frame page and FAQ are the primary place to review product details and signup information. The 2027 queue update was reported by Road to VR on October 12, 2026.
