To fix VALORANT Error Code 29, first check whether Windows Firewall allows VALORANT to run. Riot links Code 29 to a possible interaction between the game and Windows Firewall. Error Code 43 is less clear: the Riot guidance available here does not establish a code-specific cause or fix, so treat the network checks below as general connection troubleshooting—not a confirmed remedy for Code 43.

Riot’s Code 29 firewall article was surfaced in an Arabic localization and is dated May 9, 2025; its linked page may display localized wording. Riot’s broader network troubleshooting article was surfaced in Polish and is dated January 18, 2022. The linked sources are useful, but their localized pages may not match the labels in your Windows installation.
How to troubleshoot Error Code 29
1. Check whether Windows Firewall permits VALORANT
Riot’s first recommendation for Code 29 is to check that Windows Firewall recognizes VALORANT and allows it to run. Review the allowed-app settings in Windows Firewall and confirm that the VALORANT components are permitted for the network profile you use. Avoid turning the firewall off as a workaround; the supported check is whether the game is allowed through it.

2. Account for other security software
Riot notes that third-party antivirus software running alongside system protections can complicate the interaction. If you use such software, check its firewall or application permissions for VALORANT as well. Do not disable protections broadly; make only the relevant permission checks.
3. If the issue looks like a connection failure, check the network
Riot’s general connection guide recommends these checks when you cannot connect to Riot servers. They are not presented as a Code 29-specific sequence, and they do not establish a fix for Code 43.

- Confirm Wi-Fi is enabled and that you are using the correct network name and password.
- Run Windows network troubleshooting to look for a local connection problem.
- Check the firewall rules that apply to the game and the connection.
- If you are comfortable changing network settings, consider a public DNS provider. Some internet providers block third-party DNS. If changing DNS stops your internet access, restore your previous DNS settings.
- Riot also lists renewing the IP address and flushing DNS as network troubleshooting options.
- Router port forwarding is another option Riot mentions when connection to Riot servers is failing. Router settings differ, so use the router manufacturer’s instructions rather than guessing at ports or settings.
Riot’s Network Connection Troubleshooting article contains its broader connection guidance. Its page is in Polish, so the exact translated interface terms may differ from your system.

What to do about Error Code 43
A code-specific Riot explanation or current official fix for Error Code 43 could not be verified from the relevant guidance available here. That means it would be misleading to claim that a firewall change, restart, server-load issue, or any other commonly repeated remedy is Riot’s confirmed recommendation for this code.

If Code 43 appears alongside an obvious loss of connectivity, you can use the general network checks in the previous section to investigate the connection. If those checks do not resolve the issue, consult Riot Support for current guidance and include the exact code and when it appears. Do not treat the Code 29 firewall advice as a confirmed Code 43 fix.
