Lullaby is a fixed item-retrieval quest in Valor Mortis. Begin at the empty crib in the house at Fallen Village > Marketplace, collect the Weathered Key outside the house, use it to reach the Toy across the river, then bring the Toy back to the crib. The route has no documented dialogue decision, so progression depends on finding the three interaction points rather than selecting an outcome.
The walkthrough below gives the exact route, explains what is and is not known about choices, identifies the reward, and clarifies when you can safely complete the quest.

Lullaby at a glance
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Where does Lullaby start? | The empty crib in a house at Fallen Village > Marketplace. |
| What item starts the collection route? | The Weathered Key, found outside near the enemies after you leave through the crib house’s back door. |
| Where is the Toy? | On a bed in the locked house across the river, reached by jumping across and using the Weathered Key. |
| How do you finish? | Return to the crib house and interact with the crib after taking the Toy. |
| What do you receive? | Tomorrow’s Promise Amber. |
| Is Lullaby missable? | It is not identified as missable. The published side-quest guidance says side quests other than The Choir can be started and completed after the story. |
This is an item-delivery sequence, not a branching conversation. If you are looking for a prompt that lets you spare, accuse, or otherwise decide a character’s fate, the documented Lullaby route does not contain one.

Reach the Marketplace crib house
Travel to the Fallen Village > Marketplace Lantern. From the Lantern, walk toward the water and the distant flames. Enter the house with the empty crib. Approaching the crib starts Lullaby; there is no separate quest-board interaction required in the documented route.

If the quest does not appear, make sure you are in the house with the crib rather than simply standing in the Marketplace. The trigger is the crib itself, so walk close enough to interact with it. Once the objective activates, leave through the back door to begin the search for the key.
Lullaby walkthrough: every step
1. Inspect the empty crib
At the Marketplace, identify the house containing the empty crib and approach it. The crib is the starting interaction. This establishes the delivery objective and points you toward the next item outside.
2. Take the Weathered Key
After the quest begins, exit the same house through the back door. Look on the ground outside, near the enemies, for the Weathered Key. Pick it up before following the route back toward the previous area.

The key is not inside the crib house and is not found at the river crossing. If you have reached the opposite house but cannot unlock it, return to the back-door exit and search the ground around the nearby enemies for the pickup.
3. Cross the river and unlock the second house
From the key’s location, head back toward the previous area. After the Volunteer, turn right and follow the path toward the house on the other side of the river. The route requires a jump across the water; the target house is the one made accessible by that crossing.

Use the Weathered Key on the locked entrance. Inside, go to the bed and collect the Toy. Taking the Toy is the only documented item objective between the key and the final delivery.
4. Return the Toy to the crib
Retrace your route to the house where Lullaby began. Interact with the crib and place the Toy. That interaction completes the quest and grants Tomorrow’s Promise Amber.
If the completion interaction is unavailable, confirm that you actually picked up the Toy from the bed. The correct destination is the original crib house, not the house across the river where the Toy was found.
What choices does Lullaby have?
No Lullaby-specific dialogue choice is documented in the available walkthrough. The quest records a fixed sequence: inspect the crib, collect the Weathered Key, unlock the river-accessible house, take the Toy, and return it to the crib.
That distinction matters because Valor Mortis has other side quests in which dialogue choices can affect an outcome. A broader side-quest guide notes that, in those other cases, the reward remains the same even when the conversation result differs. It does not document such a branch for Lullaby, so that general statement should not be turned into a claim that Lullaby has hidden choices.

Do choices alter the ending?
There is no verified Lullaby decision that changes the game’s ending, an NPC fate, a trophy or achievement, or the quest reward. The evidence supports treating Lullaby as a single-outcome delivery quest. If a future version adds dialogue, compare the immediate quest state, character outcome, reward, achievement impact, and whether the choice can be revisited; none of those branches is established for the currently documented route.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesLullaby reward: Tomorrow’s Promise Amber
Completing the crib interaction awards Tomorrow’s Promise Amber. The Amber is an equipment-system item, not a separate currency or a key needed to reopen the river house.
PowerPyx’s completion material describes Valor Mortis as having 28 unique Ambers, of which 15 can be upgraded to level 3. Amber effects include bonuses such as health regeneration or increased damage after a dodge or parry. The Lullaby walkthrough identifies the reward by name, but it does not establish a unique effect, level, or upgrade path for Tomorrow’s Promise Amber itself. Do not assume that every Amber can be upgraded to level 3 or that this specific reward grants one of the example effects until its in-game details confirm it.
Because the reward is awarded on completion, there is no documented choice between multiple Lullaby payouts. You do not need to select an Amber from a menu or decide whether to keep the Toy.
Is Lullaby missable?
Lullaby is not identified as missable. PowerPyx states that, except for The Choir, side quests can be started and completed after the story. Lullaby is included among those side quests, so leaving Fallen Village without finishing it does not, according to that guidance, permanently remove the quest.

- Schalte mit dem gesammelten Wissen neue Gerätschaften, Waffen und Fähigkeiten frei
- Aufregende Bosskämpfe: Grauen erregende Gegner, die nach vielseitigen Strategien und Taktiken verlangen
The same complete walkthrough says missed items remain collectible after the final boss. That gives you a post-story cleanup option if you are prioritizing the main path, collectibles, or other side content first. You can return to the Marketplace later, enter the crib house, and follow the same key, river crossing, Toy, and crib sequence.
What “not missable” does and does not mean
- It means the published guide does not classify Lullaby as permanently lost when you continue the story.
- It does not mean the quest starts automatically. You still have to approach the empty crib in the Marketplace house.
- It does not remove the route requirements. The Weathered Key, river jump, Toy pickup, and final crib interaction remain necessary.
- The exception named by the guide is The Choir, not Lullaby.
If you are completing every side quest, Lullaby can therefore be treated as cleanup content rather than a deadline-sensitive objective. The evidence does not provide a narrower region-reset rule or a temporary window, so there is no reason to invent one.

The quest will not start
Return to the Marketplace Lantern and enter the house with the empty crib. The trigger is proximity to the crib, not the Lantern itself. Walk directly to the crib and interact with it before leaving through the back door.
The Weathered Key is missing
Use the back door of the crib house and search the ground outside near the enemies. The key is placed outside, so checking only the interior or the river house will not find it. Once collected, move back toward the previous area and use the turn after the Volunteer as your navigation reference.
You cannot find the locked house
After the Volunteer, turn right and follow the path toward the river. The destination is across the water, and the route requires a jump. If you have stayed on the original bank or followed a path that never presents a jump, you are not at the documented approach.

- Perfect puzzling: Puzzles slowly increase in complexity enabling seamless progression and rewarding exploration.
The door will not open
Verify that the item in your inventory is the Weathered Key taken outside the crib house. The river-accessible house is opened with that key; the Toy is inside on a bed. If you reached the door before collecting the key, retrace the route to the back-door area.
The quest will not complete
After taking the Toy, return to the first house, not the unlocked house across the river. Approach the crib and use its interaction prompt to place the Toy. The completion event occurs at the crib.
Where Lullaby fits in a full completion run
PowerPyx’s 2026 completion walkthrough counts 20 side quests, 11 main quests spread across 10 regions, and 89 collectible locations. Those figures help explain why Lullaby is easy to postpone: it is one small objective inside a much larger cleanup route, rather than a required step in the main-quest count.

Practical route checklist
- At Fallen Village > Marketplace, enter the house with the empty crib.
- Approach the crib to activate Lullaby.
- Leave through the back door and pick up the Weathered Key near the enemies.
- Head back toward the previous area, turn right after the Volunteer, and follow the path to the river.
- Jump across the river, unlock the house, and take the Toy from the bed.
- Return to the original crib house and place the Toy in the crib.
The documented result is one completed Lullaby quest with Tomorrow’s Promise Amber as its reward; no alternate Lullaby outcome is established.
