Used Cars Simulator reached version 1.0 and left Steam Early Access on October 9, 2026. Developed by DreamWay Games and published by PlayWay S.A., it is a single-player open-world simulation about finding, repairing, customizing, and reselling cars. The full release adds Season 3 content; the developers also previewed two new car models and technical and quality-of-life improvements ahead of launch.
Release date and what changed
Steam lists October 9, 2026 as the full-release date. The game entered Early Access on April 9, 2025, making its Early Access period 18 months long. Steam’s store listing identifies DreamWay Games as the developer and PlayWay S.A. as the publisher.
In a September 18 pre-release announcement, the developers previewed two new car models, Season 3 quests, interface and balancing changes, gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and optimization. These were announced plans; the October 9 launch-day note separately confirms the Early Access exit and highlights Season 3’s new quest line, island connections, locations, and NPCs. The launch-note details are reproduced in a SteamDB update record, while the preview appeared in the official Steam Community announcement.

The pre-release preview said Season 3 would address the story’s flying-cow mystery. The launch-day note confirms new Season 3 quests, but does not independently detail that story resolution. The announcement also described the full-release additions as shaped by player feedback and an effort to expand the world with more cars, locations, NPCs, items, and quests.

What kind of game is it?
Used Cars Simulator is a physics-based, single-player sandbox set in an open world. Its Steam description centers on trading used or stolen cars: source vehicles, negotiate, repair and customize them, then resell them. Players can explore, meet NPCs, and complete quests. The game also includes illegal activities that can draw police attention.
Steam categorizes it across simulation, driving, trading, open-world, and single-player tags. The listing includes achievements, cloud saves, leaderboards, Family Sharing, and partial controller support. Steam Deck compatibility is marked “Playable.”

Steam price and reviews: October 9 snapshot
At the time of the October 9, 2026 Steam listing snapshot, the regular price was $19.99, with a limited 40% discount bringing it to $11.99 through October 23, 2026. Steam prices vary by region and can change, so check the live listing for the price where you are. The developers’ earlier Early Access disclosure estimated that the price might rise by approximately 50% after Early Access; that was an estimate, not confirmation of an actual increase.
