Sometimes. If you’re the recipient, UPS My Choice may show an incoming package linked to your account without asking you to enter its tracking number. Otherwise, you may be able to track it using a shipper-assigned reference number or a UPS Delivery Notice number. UPS’s official pages do not establish that you can search for a package by your name or address alone.
Which no-tracking-number option can you use?
| What you have | What to try | What must be true |
|---|---|---|
| A UPS account and an expected delivery | Sign in to UPS My Choice and check incoming packages | The shipment must be visible to your account. UPS’s cited no-number guidance is on its Canada page, and availability may vary by country. UPS My Choice for Canada |
| A shipment reference | Track using the reference number | The shipper assigns the reference; ask the sender or seller for it. UPS tracking by reference |
| A UPS Delivery Notice | Use the notice number to track the shipment | UPS must have left a notice after a delivery attempt. UPS Delivery Notice guidance |
| None of these | Ask the sender or seller for the tracking number | The official options above require account visibility or a shipment-specific identifier. |
Check UPS My Choice for an incoming package
Sign in to UPS My Choice and look for the expected shipment. UPS Canada says members can see packages scheduled for delivery and inbound and outbound shipment details without entering tracking numbers. Its page also says members can view packages from the past four months. That four-month history and the no-number description are stated on the Canada page; check the UPS site for your country because features can differ by region.
Ask the shipper for a reference number
UPS supports tracking by reference number, but the reference is assigned by the shipper. It is not a universal identifier you can reliably derive from your name, address, or order details. Ask the sender or seller whether they can provide the UPS tracking number or the shipment reference.

Use the number on a UPS Delivery Notice
If UPS attempted delivery and left a notice, use its notice number or the original tracking number to check the package. The notice may also explain what happened and show available next delivery options. See UPS’s Delivery Notice instructions.
