The UPPAbaby Cruz V3 is a full-size stroller for one child, specified for use from birth to 50 lb and 40 in tall. It has a lay-flat seat and includes an infant insert, while a bassinet is a separate purchase. Its published frame-and-seat weight is 26.5 lb, so it is worth checking the folded dimensions and your car’s boot opening before buying. This review covers UPPAbaby’s North American specifications and manual; it does not claim hands-on or independent performance testing.
Who the Cruz V3 suits
The Cruz V3 is aimed at caregivers who want a full-size single-child stroller with newborn options and a reversible seat. It may suit families expecting one child to use the stroller, or those who want the option of an approved ride-along board for an older child. It is less suited to buyers who need a second stroller seat for siblings: UPPAbaby’s Australian support page says the Cruz V3 does not take a second seat, while its 2025 US/Canada comparison lists two children only in a PiggyBack board arrangement.
UPPAbaby describes the North American model as suitable from birth through 50 lb, with a maximum child height of 40 in. The manual says it is intended for one child unless used with an approved UPPAbaby accessory. The North American product page describes a lay-flat seat and lists an infant insert among the accessories supplied with the stroller. UPPAbaby’s manual instructs: “For newborns, use the most reclined position of the seat.” It also requires the child to be secured in the complete five-point harness; when the seat is reclined, the manual says the foot barrier must be in place as well. Follow the manual’s setup and adjustment instructions rather than treating “lay-flat” as permission to leave a child unsecured.

A bassinet is a separate purchase and attaches directly, according to UPPAbaby. The page also lists the company’s Mesa and Aria infant car seats as direct attachments without adapters. For other car seats, compatibility is regional and model-specific. UPPAbaby Australia lists certain third-party capsules for use with a Vista and Cruz car-seat upper adapter, but that local list is not a universal North American compatibility guide. Size, weight and storage fit
UPPAbaby lists the frame at 17 lb and the seat at 9.5 lb, for a combined frame-and-seat weight of 26.5 lb. The published unfolded dimensions are 37.5 × 22.5 × 41.8 in. With the seat attached, the US product page gives folded dimensions of 17 × 22.5 × 32.5 in; UPPAbaby’s 2025 US/Canada comparison chart gives the folded height as 32.4 in. That one-tenth-inch discrepancy is a minor variation in the manufacturer’s published figures, not a promise of exact fit. The page lists 13.5 × 22.5 × 30.3 in folded without the seat.

Measure your vehicle’s boot opening and the space where you plan to store the stroller; internal cargo volume alone may not tell you whether the folded stroller will pass through the opening. The manual sets the basket’s maximum load at 30 lb (13.6 kg). Do not exceed that limit or assume an unapproved bag or accessory is safe. For the Australian market, UPPAbaby’s local support page lists 12 kg with frame and seat and folded measurements of 43 × 57.2 × 82.3 cm with the seat, or 34.3 × 57.2 × 76.9 cm without it; these are regional figures and should not be mixed with the US listings. UPPAbaby’s feature list includes a reversible seat, multi-position one-handed recline, four-position leg rest, adjustable handlebar, extendable UPF 50+ canopy with sun shield and mesh panels, magnetic harness buckle, FlexRide suspension, never-flat tires, front-wheel lock and reflective wheel trims. It also identifies the stroller as GREENGUARD Gold certified and states a three-year warranty. Fold and safety considerations
UPPAbaby’s 2025 comparison chart describes a one-step fold that stands when folded. Exact folding steps depend on the setup and market. Its Australian support instructions say the seat can remain attached only when forward-facing; remove a bassinet or capsule first, turn the seat away from the caregiver, close the canopy, lower the handlebar and check the fold latch. Use the manual for your model and local support instructions for the specific configuration.
The manual warns: “To avoid injuries from finger entrapment, keep child away from this product when unfolding and folding it.” It also cautions that exceeding recommended loads or using an unapproved parcel bag, accessory or rack can make the stroller unstable. What is included, and what costs extra
The North American product page lists an infant insert, toddler-seat bug shield and toddler-seat rain shield with the stroller. The bassinet is sold separately; a cup holder and snack tray are also presented as separate add-ons. For a household planning around one child, the Cruz’s narrower listed width and lower weight than the Vista may matter more than the Vista’s expansion options. The Ridge is wider and heavier in the chart, with larger wheels and a higher child weight limit; choose it only if those differences fit your needs.
