Update a Big Fish game using the platform where you play it: use the Big Fish Games app (Game Manager) on PC or Mac, the App Store on iPhone or iPad, and the same app store you used to install it on Android. Big Fish says updates preserve progress in most cases; it will display an alert if a particular update might affect your saved game.
Update a Big Fish game on PC or Mac
Big Fish desktop game updates are handled through the Big Fish Games app, also called Game Manager. The app is automatically installed when you download a PC or Mac game from BigFishGames.com. Big Fish also offers it as a separate download: Big Fish Games Help.
Free-to-play desktop games
- Open the Big Fish Games app (Game Manager).
- In the left menu, under Download Games, select Updates.
- Select Install Updates to install available updates.
The Big Fish support instructions describe this route for free-to-play PC and Mac games. Menu labels can vary as the app changes.

Update a game on iPhone or iPad
- Open the App Store.
- Go to its Updates area.
- Tap Update beside the Big Fish game.
If the game does not appear in the list, Big Fish says it likely already has the latest version. App Store labels and layout can change; see Big Fish’s current update instructions if your screen differs.
Update a game on Android
Open the store from which you installed the game and check for an update there. Big Fish’s instructions cover Google Play, Amazon Appstore, and Kindle Fire. A game installed through one store should be updated through that store, rather than by checking a different marketplace. If no update is offered, Big Fish says the latest version is likely installed. See Big Fish’s update instructions for the store-specific directions.

Will an update erase your saved progress?
Big Fish says updates do not cause progress loss in most cases. If an update might affect progress, the company says it will show an alert before you proceed. Read any in-game or update prompt carefully before continuing. The statement is from Big Fish Games Support’s “Updating Your Game,” listed as updated August 24, 2026: official support article.
Check compatibility separately from updates
An available update does not confirm that an older game will run on every current version of Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android. Big Fish’s mobile terms say users may need to update device software to receive its offerings; they also note that equipment, network access, and any mobile-provider charges are the user’s responsibility. These terms do not guarantee compatibility for a particular older title.
