Godlike.Host offers hosted Unturned servers with its own game panel, SFTP access and free DDoS protection, if you would rather not host it yourself.
If your Unturned server appears under LAN but not under Internet, the usual reason is that it is still running as a LAN server. LAN servers are not published to the Internet list. For an Internet listing, run the server in Internet mode, authenticate it with a valid Game Server Login Token (GSLT) for Unturned app ID 304930, and make the server reachable through either Fake IP or port forwarding. You do not normally need both reachability methods.
When forwarding ports, forward the configured game port and the next consecutive query port over both TCP and UDP. The default pair is 27015 and 27016. Firewall rules, carrier-grade NAT, an ISP that blocks inbound connections, a duplicate port assignment, or a damaged dedicated-server installation can still prevent listing after the basic setup is correct.
What it means when an Unturned server is missing
Unturned has separate LAN and Internet discovery. A LAN server is intended for players on the same local network and is deliberately excluded from the public Internet server list. The official Unturned 3.x documentation states that “LAN servers are not visible from the Internet server list.” Seeing your server in the LAN tab therefore proves only that the process is running and discoverable inside your network; it does not prove that public listing, authentication, or inbound routing is working.

- It must be started as an Internet server rather than a LAN server.
- It must present a valid GSLT. The Unturned knowledgebase says all servers need a valid token to appear on the server list.
- Players and the list-query service must be able to reach it through Fake IP or a correctly forwarded port pair.
Fix those in that order. Changing router settings before changing LAN mode or adding the token will not make a LAN server public.

1. Confirm that the server is an Internet server
Check the launch and configuration mode
Review the launcher, host panel, or server configuration that controls discovery mode. If it is set to LAN, change it to Internet (or the host’s equivalent public-server setting), save the change, and fully restart the dedicated server. A restart matters because discovery mode is read during startup; changing a file while the process is running may not reload it.

Do not use LAN mode as a temporary way to test public connectivity. A LAN listing is expected behavior for that mode, not evidence of a failed router rule. Once Internet mode is selected, continue with the GSLT and reachability checks below.
Make sure you are looking in the right list
Use the Internet tab when testing a public server. If you are on the same home network as the host, your router may not support NAT loopback (also called hairpin NAT), so a local test can be misleading. Have a player search from a different connection, such as a phone hotspot or another household. This separates a genuine public-list problem from a router’s inability to send a local client back through its own public address.
2. Create and apply a valid GSLT
Create the token with the correct app ID
Unturned dedicated servers require a Game Server Login Token for list authentication beginning with version 3.21.31.0. Create the token through Steam’s Game Server Account Management page and enter Unturned’s app ID 304930. The app ID is not the SteamCMD installation ID and is not your server’s port number.
Copy the generated token exactly. A random string, a server name, or a Steam user ID is not a substitute. Treat the token as a credential: do not publish it in screenshots, paste it into a public issue, or reuse a token that has been revoked.
Put the token in Config.json
In the server’s Config.json, place the value at Browser.Login_Token. If a Browser object already contains other settings, add the login-token property without deleting those settings. The relevant structure is conceptually:

Use the actual token in place of YOUR_GSLT; do not include that placeholder or extra quotation marks. Keep the JSON syntax valid, including commas between properties. Stop the server before editing, save the file, and start it again so the process reads the new value.
Use the startup GSLT option instead
If your host panel or launch script manages settings outside Config.json, supply the token through the startup option named GSLT. The exact field or separator differs between launchers, but the option must be passed to the Unturned server process at startup. Do not configure two different tokens and assume they will be merged; keep one current token in the method your launcher actually uses.

Read the startup output
After restarting, inspect the console or log for token/authentication errors. A missing, revoked, malformed, or incorrectly placed token can leave the server running locally while preventing list registration. Correct the credential first; repeatedly restarting a server with the same invalid token does not solve the problem.
3. Choose a public reachability method
The official setup documentation presents Fake IP and port forwarding as alternative ways to expose an Internet server. Choose one based on your network rather than enabling both by default.

When to use Fake IP
Use the Fake IP option when it is available in your server setup and you do not want to expose a home router port. Enable it through the server’s documented configuration or your host panel, then restart and check the Internet list. A Fake IP configuration still needs a valid GSLT and Internet mode; it is a reachability method, not a replacement for authentication.
When to use port forwarding
Use router forwarding when the server is on a computer behind your own gateway and the ISP permits inbound traffic. You will need the host computer’s private IPv4 address, the configured Unturned port, and the next consecutive query port. Both TCP and UDP must be allowed.

Understand the consecutive-port requirement
The Unturned 3 knowledgebase states that each server uses two consecutive ports: the configured Port for game traffic and Port + 1 for server-list queries. Forwarding only the game port can allow some direct connections while leaving the server absent from, or unreliable in, the public list.

The second and third starting ports above follow the knowledgebase recommendation for multiple servers. If you choose a different starting port, the query port is always the next number.

Create the router rules
- Give the host computer a stable private IPv4 address. A DHCP reservation on the router is preferable to relying on an address that may change after a reboot.
- Open the router’s port-forwarding page and create a rule for the configured game port. Set the protocol to TCP and UDP (or create one rule for each protocol if the router requires it).
- Direct that rule to the host computer’s private IPv4 address.
- Create a second rule for the consecutive query port, again using TCP and UDP and the same destination address.
- Save or apply the router configuration, then restart the Unturned server.
Use the same external and internal port numbers unless your router specifically supports and your configuration intentionally uses a translated port. Do not point the rules at the router’s public address, a different computer, or an old DHCP address.
Separate every server on the machine
Two Unturned processes cannot share the same game/query pair. Assign the first server 27015/27016, the second 27017/27018, and the third 27019/27020, then create forwarding rules for every pair. Also ensure each server’s own Port setting matches the pair you forwarded. A conflict may let one process bind successfully while the other fails to register or never receives queries.

A router rule only gets traffic to the host. The host firewall can still discard it. Add inbound allow rules for the Unturned dedicated-server executable, or for the assigned port pair, on both TCP and UDP. Apply the rules to the network profile the host actually uses. If you run multiple servers, include every assigned pair.
After changing firewall rules, restart the server and test from outside the home network. Temporarily disabling a firewall can be a diagnostic step, but leaving it disabled is unsafe; replace the test with narrowly scoped allow rules for the server and required ports.
Also check endpoint-security software that includes its own network filter. It may override or duplicate operating-system rules. Look for blocked inbound events at the time of an external test and allow the dedicated-server process only from the interfaces and ports it needs.
6. Check ISP and NAT restrictions
Recognize an ISP that cannot provide forwarding
The Unturned hosting knowledgebase warns that some ISPs make port forwarding impossible. This commonly occurs when the ISP places several customers behind carrier-grade NAT, so the address shown by the router is not a publicly reachable IPv4 address. In that situation, a rule can look correct in the router and still receive no inbound traffic.
- Compare the router’s WAN address with the public address shown by an independent connection. A mismatch can indicate upstream NAT.
- Ask the ISP whether inbound TCP and UDP forwarding is permitted and whether a public IPv4 address is available.
- Check whether the ISP blocks the selected ports or requires a business/static-address service.
If the ISP cannot provide reachable inbound traffic, use Fake IP where supported or move the server to a managed environment that handles public networking. Do not keep changing local port rules when the connection itself cannot accept them.
Check for double NAT
If an ISP modem and your own router both perform routing, create the forwarding rules on the device that owns the public address or place one device in a supported bridge/access-point arrangement. Double NAT can prevent the outside connection from reaching the host even when the inner router’s rule is correct. Confirm the topology before adding more overlapping rules.

7. Verify the installation only after networking is correct
A broken installation is a secondary cause, not the first thing to troubleshoot. If Internet mode, GSLT, reachability, ports, and firewall rules are correct but the server still fails to register or logs missing-file errors, validate the dedicated-server files with SteamCMD.

Install or update U3DS
The Unturned 3.x manual documents SteamCMD app ID 1110390 for the dedicated server. From a SteamCMD session, the update command is:
app_update 1110390
Use the same installation directory that your launcher starts. Updating a different directory will not repair the files actually in use.
Validate and repair files
To verify and repair missing or corrupted files, run:
app_update 1110390 validate
Wait for SteamCMD to finish, then start the server again and inspect its startup output. Validation does not create a GSLT, change LAN mode, open firewall ports, or bypass an ISP restriction, so return to those checks if the network symptoms remain.
8. Use a controlled test instead of guessing
- Stop the server and record its configured
Port, selected mode, and the private IPv4 address of the host. - Confirm Internet mode and the exact GSLT location or startup option.
- Start the server and check for authentication or bind errors in the console.
- Confirm that the router forwards the game port and the next consecutive query port to that same private IPv4 address over TCP and UDP.
- Confirm the operating-system firewall allows the process and both protocols.
- Ask a player on a different network to search the Internet tab. Do not treat a same-LAN result as an outside test.
- If it still fails, change only one variable at a time: first token/configuration, then port mapping, then firewall, then ISP/NAT, and finally file validation.
There is no authoritative, guaranteed listing delay published for Unturned. Avoid diagnosing a failure by waiting for a promised number of minutes; use the external test and the server’s startup logs instead.
Common mistakes and their fixes
Using a random value as the token
Only a token issued through Steam’s Game Server Account Management for app ID 304930 is valid. Replace hand-written strings and tokens created for another application.
Putting the token in the wrong configuration level
The documented JSON location is Browser.Login_Token. A value under an unrelated section may be ignored even though the file remains syntactically valid. Check the spelling, capitalization, and nesting, then restart.

Forwarding only 27015
The server needs the configured game port and its next consecutive query port. With the defaults, forward both 27015 and 27016. If you changed Port, forward that value and the next number instead.

A DHCP lease can move the host to a different private IPv4 address, leaving the router rule pointed at another device. Reserve the address and update every rule after a network change.
Using the same pair for several servers
Give each process a distinct pair. The recommended starts are 27015, 27017, and 27019, producing pairs 27015/27016, 27017/27018, and 27019/27020.
Testing only from inside the LAN
Local discovery can succeed while WAN routing fails, and some routers cannot loop a local client through the public address. Verify with a player on a separate connection.
Assuming a successful direct connection proves listing works
A manually supplied address and the public server list exercise different paths. List queries use the consecutive query port, so direct-connect success does not eliminate a missing query-port rule or an authentication problem.
Self-hosting versus managed hosting
Self-hosting gives you control over the machine, files, mods, firewall, router, and update schedule. It is practical when you have a reachable public connection and are comfortable maintaining GSLTs, port pairs, backups, and security rules. The software itself does not require a retail server subscription, but you remain responsible for hardware, electricity, bandwidth, and maintenance.
Managed hosting moves router and ISP problems to a provider’s network and can reduce manual maintenance. Before choosing one, verify that it supports Unturned’s current dedicated-server version, accepts or supplies a valid GSLT workflow, offers Fake IP or the required port exposure, permits your desired mods, and documents its backup and update process. Costs, included resources, and token handling vary by provider, so compare those details rather than assuming every plan supports public listing.
