On paper, the UNISOC T7250 has the stronger CPU design and more fully specified platform features. It pairs two Cortex-A75 cores with six Cortex-A55 cores, while the MediaTek Helio G37 uses eight Cortex-A53 cores. Reported benchmark scores also favor the T7250, but they come from different devices and test sources, so they do not establish a precise real-world performance gap.
How the specifications compare
Both chips are listed as 12 nm processors. Their CPU cores, graphics and supported components differ:
| Specification | UNISOC T7250 | MediaTek Helio G37 |
|---|---|---|
| Process | 12 nm | 12 nm |
| CPU | 2× Arm Cortex-A75 up to 1.8 GHz + 6× Arm Cortex-A55 up to 1.6 GHz | 4× Arm Cortex-A53 up to 2.3 GHz + 4× Arm Cortex-A53 up to 1.8 GHz |
| GPU | Arm Mali-G57 up to 850 MHz | PowerVR GE8320; NanoReview lists 680 MHz |
| Memory | LPDDR4X up to 1866 MHz; dual-channel support | LPDDR4X; NanoReview lists 1600 MHz |
| Storage support | eMMC 5.1, UFS 2.2 and UFS 2.1 | Not established in the cited specification listing |
| Display capability | FHD+ up to 60 fps or HD+ up to 120 fps | Not established in the cited specification listing |
| Video | 1080p encode and decode at 60 fps, per UNISOC | Not established in the cited specification listing |
| Connectivity | LTE Cat 7 downlink / Cat 13 uplink, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2 | Not established in the cited specification listing |
| NPU | Not listed in UNISOC’s cited specifications | No NPU listed by NanoReview |
The T7250’s CPU mix is the clearest architectural distinction: its two Cortex-A75 cores are a newer, higher-performance core design than the Helio G37’s Cortex-A53 cores. The T7250 also has a specified Mali-G57 GPU and broader listed memory and storage support. These specifications indicate potential platform advantages; they do not guarantee that every phone using it will be faster.
UNISOC says the T7250 is compatible with 720p and 1080p displays and supports a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. Its detailed parameter table qualifies that capability as FHD+ at up to 60 fps or HD+ at up to 120 fps. UNISOC T7250 specifications

The Helio G37 figures come from NanoReview’s specification listing, a secondary source. UNISOC’s figures are from its official T7250 product page. Missing values in the table should not be read as evidence that a feature is impossible; they were not established in these listings.
What the benchmark results show—and what they do not
Available reported results point toward the T7250, but they are not a controlled, same-device comparison. Benchmark versions, handsets, software, cooling and score aggregation differ, so a percentage lead cannot be responsibly calculated from these figures.

Which chip is better for gaming?
The T7250 looks better equipped on paper: it has the newer CPU core mix and a Mali-G57 GPU specified at up to 850 MHz, while the Helio G37 is listed with a PowerVR GE8320. That makes the T7250 the stronger specification-based choice, but these details alone cannot establish game frame rates, graphics settings or sustained performance.

Actual gaming depends on the handset’s cooling, power settings, RAM, storage, screen resolution and software as well as the chip. No matched consumer test establishes battery endurance, sustained gaming thermals or exact frame rates for phones using these two processors. Compare reviews of the specific handsets rather than treating a chip name as a game-performance guarantee.

A processor comparison narrows the choice, but it does not decide which phone is better value. Check the full device and its local version before buying:

- RAM and storage: Confirm the actual capacity and storage type in the phone listing; SoC support does not prove which components a manufacturer installed.
- Screen: Compare resolution and refresh rate. The T7250’s maximum supported display modes do not mean every T7250 phone offers them.
- Battery and cooling: Look for handset-specific endurance and sustained-performance testing rather than inferring either from the processor.
- Software and updates: Check the manufacturer’s update policy for the exact model and region.
- Price and availability: Compare current local listings and configurations; the same phone name can have regional differences.
MediaTek identifies the Infinix Hot 30i as a Helio G37 phone on its Helio G37 product page. That is one grounded handset example, not a direct comparison with a verified T7250 phone.
