Uncle Lee’s Cookbook: Five Recipes for Disaster launched digitally on Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2026. Despite its name, it is a point-and-click puzzle adventure—not a real-world cookbook. Relatively Painless Games developed the game, and DIONOUS GAMES published it.
What kind of game is it?
Nintendo’s publisher-provided description casts players as Ines, a rebellious teenager dealing with the consequences of her uncle Lee’s experiments, inventions and cooking. The game is a point-and-click adventure built around unusual characters, witty dialogue, pixel art and puzzles that can bend reality. Its premise includes wavefunction collapse affecting macroscopic objects—including ice cream.

The story is divided into five self-contained episodes of varying lengths. The episode summaries touch on Ines at age 10, a time-travel mishap at Lake Fenfef, an older Ines investigating a paranormal infestation, and her twentieth birthday. Nintendo’s listing leaves some locations and details unspecified, so those gaps should not be filled in by inference.
What features does the Switch listing specify?
- Puzzles and help: Nintendo describes reality-bending puzzles and a built-in hint system.
- Audio and text: The listing specifies English voice acting and subtitles in English, Italian and German. Its supported-language field also lists English (British), English (American), German and Italian.
- Soundtrack: The description advertises an original soundtrack.
- Players and modes: Nintendo lists one player on one system, with TV, tabletop and handheld play modes.
The Switch store page cautions that software compatibility and play experience may differ on Nintendo Switch Lite. It also notes that additional accessories may be required or sold separately, but does not identify an accessory required for this game. The listing’s ESRB content descriptor is “Mild Language, Violent References.”

The PC edition therefore preceded the Switch release. Store pages describe their respective editions; Steam’s tags should not be read as Nintendo Switch listing features. The publisher’s May launch announcement described the PC release as the complete collection, but that is publisher-authored launch material rather than independent review evidence.

Nintendo’s US store lists the Switch version as a digital release, developed by Relatively Painless Games and published by DIONOUS GAMES. Its listed file size is 174 MB. Availability, price and sale information can change, so check the store listing for current purchasing details. The listing establishes a digital Switch edition; it does not establish a physical release or a printed cookbook.
