For most buyers, choose the UGREEN MagFlow Magnetic Power Bank 10000mAh 25W. It combines a published 10,000mAh capacity, Qi2-certified 25W wireless charging, a built-in USB-C cable and up to 30W wired output. Choose Apple’s MagSafe Battery Pack instead if you own a supported iPhone 12, 13 or 14 model and want the smallest Apple-designed accessory with automatic magnetic attachment, while accepting its Lightning connector and less transparent capacity information.
The important qualification is that “25W” describes the UGREEN charger’s Qi2 capability, not a guarantee that every iPhone will accept 25W wirelessly. Your phone model, software, case and charging standard determine the result.

These are different kinds of products. UGREEN is a high-capacity, multi-device power bank that happens to attach magnetically. Apple’s pack is a tightly integrated iPhone accessory whose main advantages are automatic attachment and Apple’s system-level battery behavior.

What the 25W and 15W numbers actually mean
UGREEN’s 25W Qi2 rating
UGREEN specifies Qi2-certified wireless charging at up to 25W. Qi2 is a charging standard, and the “up to” figure is the maximum supported by the charger under compatible conditions. It does not override the receiving phone’s own limit. A phone that accepts less than 25W wirelessly will negotiate a lower rate.

UGREEN also specifies up to 30W through wired output. Wired charging is therefore the better route when a phone, tablet or other USB-C device can accept more power than its magnetic wireless input. The built-in USB-C cable means you do not have to carry a separate charging lead for a USB-C device, while the USB-C port provides another connection.
Apple’s 15W figure
Apple states that the MagSafe Battery Pack can provide up to 15W wireless charging when it is connected to power and used as a charger. That is a different condition from using the pack attached to an iPhone while you are away from an outlet. In that mobile use, Apple’s battery-management system controls charging behavior rather than simply delivering a fixed 15W.
Consequently, comparing “25W versus 15W” as if both figures describe identical phone use is misleading. UGREEN has the newer, higher Qi2 ceiling; Apple has a lower published wireless figure in its powered-charger mode and a system-managed battery-pack mode on the phone.

Capacity: why UGREEN’s 10,000mAh is not an Apple percentage
UGREEN gives a conventional power-bank rating
UGREEN publishes 10,000mAh for the MagFlow. That number describes the pack’s rated battery capacity, not the exact amount that reaches a particular phone. Conversion from the pack’s internal battery voltage to a phone’s battery voltage, wireless losses, cable losses, heat and charging controls all affect the usable result.
The practical advantage is flexibility: the same pack can replenish a phone, power a USB-C accessory or share output among devices. UGREEN says it can charge up to three devices using wireless charging plus USB-C outputs. The exact combination depends on the devices and how the outputs are used.

Apple publishes tested additional-charge percentages
Apple does not present this pack with a comparable 10,000mAh headline in the cited support material. Instead, Apple reports additional charge for specific iPhone models. In tests conducted in 2021–2022, Apple reported:
- Up to 70% additional charge for iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 13 mini.
- Up to 60% for iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Pro.
- Up to 40% for iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Plus or iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Those figures are controlled-test results, not guarantees for every trip. Apple notes that actual results vary with usage, environment, network conditions and the phone’s initial battery level. They also cannot be converted into a universal UGREEN-versus-Apple percentage without testing the same phone under the same conditions.
Compatibility: check the phone and the case before buying
Apple’s clearly defined range
Apple explicitly lists the iPhone 12, iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 families for the MagSafe Battery Pack. Its magnetic attachment is designed around those generations. If your phone is outside those families, Apple’s cited compatibility statement does not establish support.
Apple describes attachment as automatic: “Attaching the MagSafe Battery Pack is a snap.” That convenience is the reason to choose it when your priority is a predictable Apple accessory experience rather than maximum capacity or port flexibility.
UGREEN requires a model-by-model check
UGREEN’s guidance says “MagSafe-compatible” by itself does not establish Apple MagSafe or Qi2 certification. Before buying, verify the exact phone model, required software version and supported charging standard. A magnetic case can also change alignment, clearance and charging behavior.

For an iPhone, confirm that the phone or case presents a compatible magnetic alignment surface and that the model’s wireless-charging implementation supports the rate you expect. For an Android phone, do not infer support from the presence of USB-C alone: check for Qi2 or another compatible wireless standard and a case that holds the pack securely.

- Test with the case you actually use, not only with the phone bare.
- Check that the magnetic ring is centered over the charging coil; an offset ring can reduce or stop charging.
- Make sure the pack does not press against a raised camera module.
- Remove metal plates, wallets or other magnetic accessories that can interfere with alignment or heat dissipation.
Ports and device flexibility
Why UGREEN fits USB-C households
The MagFlow includes a built-in USB-C cable, a USB-C port and up to 30W wired output. That combination covers phones, tablets, earbuds and other USB-C equipment without requiring a separate cable for every top-up. It also lets you choose wired charging when speed, efficiency or a non-magnetic device matters more than convenience.
UGREEN says the pack can charge up to three devices through wireless charging plus USB-C outputs. Treat that as a maximum device count, not a promise that every connected device receives the full 30W simultaneously; available power is shared according to the output arrangement and each device’s charging requirements.
Apple remains a Lightning accessory
Apple’s pack uses a Lightning port. Apple recommends charging it with a 20W-or-higher USB-C power adapter and a USB-C-to-Lightning cable. That is straightforward for someone who already has those Apple accessories, but it is less convenient in a household that has standardized on USB-C cables.
The Lightning design also narrows the pack’s role. It is primarily an iPhone accessory rather than a general power source for several USB-C devices.

Size, weight and travel trade-offs
TechRadar’s 2026 review lists the UGREEN unit at 254g and 0.8 × 2.8 × 4.3 inches. Those figures make its capacity and ports tangible: this is a substantial power bank, not an almost weightless emergency battery.
A current Apple size, weight and inventory comparison was not established in the available specifications, so it would be inaccurate to claim a precise dimensional or weight advantage. Apple’s pack is generally chosen for its compact, integrated iPhone experience, but confirm the current listing and measurements in your market if pocket size is decisive.
Charging performance and what the available test does—and does not—show
TechRadar reported about 2 hours 58 minutes to charge a 5,000mAh Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in its review test of the UGREEN pack. That is an Android result under the reviewer’s conditions. It is useful evidence that the pack can charge a large Android phone in a defined test, but it is not an iPhone result and should not be presented as one.
Neither the cited product specifications nor Apple’s support percentages establish a head-to-head laboratory test on the same iPhone, with the same starting battery level, case, temperature and network load. Expect real-world results to vary accordingly.
Which one should you buy?
Choose UGREEN if you need capacity and flexibility
- You want a published 10,000mAh rating rather than a model-specific percentage estimate.
- You value Qi2 wireless charging up to 25W, while understanding that your phone may negotiate a lower rate.
- You need USB-C charging, a built-in cable or up to 30W wired output.
- You regularly carry an Android phone, tablet, earbuds or other non-iPhone devices.
- You travel or use your phone heavily and prefer one pack that can serve several devices.
- You are willing to verify phone, software, case and charging-standard compatibility before purchase.
Choose Apple if integration matters more than capacity
- You own a supported iPhone 12, 13 or 14 family model.
- You want automatic magnetic attachment designed specifically around the iPhone.
- You prefer Apple’s system-managed battery behavior over a general-purpose power-bank design.
- You already have a 20W-or-higher USB-C adapter and USB-C-to-Lightning cable.
- You accept Lightning and do not need to power several USB-C devices.
Use a simple decision rule
- If you need to charge more than an iPhone, start with UGREEN.
- If you need the highest published magnetic wireless ceiling, start with UGREEN’s Qi2 25W specification—but confirm your phone can use it.

How to set up and use either pack safely
Before the first trip
- Confirm your exact phone model against the manufacturer’s compatibility information.
- Check whether your case supports the relevant magnetic alignment and wireless standard.
- Fully charge the battery pack using the specified cable and an appropriate wall adapter.
- Remove wallets, metal plates and accessories that sit between the pack and the phone.
When charging wirelessly
- Center the pack on the phone’s charging coil or magnetic ring.
- Look for the phone’s charging indicator and confirm that it remains active after a few minutes.
- If charging starts and stops, remove the case and accessories, realign the pack and check for excess heat.
- Use the wired USB-C output on the UGREEN pack when the device is not magnetically compatible or when you need its available wired output.
When charging the pack from an outlet
For Apple’s pack, follow Apple’s recommendation to use a 20W-or-higher USB-C adapter with a USB-C-to-Lightning cable. For UGREEN, use a suitable USB-C power source and cable, and consult the current product instructions for the pack’s input behavior. Do not assume that the pack’s wireless output rating is also its recharge-input rating.

Common buying mistakes and fixes
Mistake: treating 25W as a guaranteed iPhone speed
Fix: Treat 25W as UGREEN’s Qi2 maximum. Verify the phone’s supported wireless standard, software requirements and case alignment. A lower phone limit, poor alignment or thermal control can reduce power.
Mistake: comparing 10,000mAh directly with Apple’s percentages
Fix: Use UGREEN’s figure to judge general capacity and Apple’s percentages to judge the tested additional charge for a specific iPhone model. They measure different things.
Mistake: assuming any magnetic case is equivalent
Fix: Check the case’s ring placement, thickness and charging compatibility. A case can hold a magnet yet still create poor coil alignment or excessive distance.

Apple’s MagSafe Battery Pack remains the focused choice for a supported iPhone 12–14 owner who values automatic attachment and Apple integration above capacity transparency, USB-C convenience and newer charging standards. Select it for that specific experience—not because its published 15W figure or model-specific percentages are directly equivalent to UGREEN’s 25W and 10,000mAh claims.
