If your UE WONDERBOOM 4 will not connect, first charge it through a clean, dry USB-C port, then hold the Bluetooth button until you hear a tone and the Bluetooth light blinks rapidly. Select WONDERBOOM 4 in your phone or computer’s Bluetooth settings. If it reports a connection but remains silent, select the speaker as the active audio output, move the source closer, remove wireless interference, and power-cycle the speaker. Disconnect nearby devices that may be taking the connection. A factory reset is the final software step: hold volume – and power together for 5–10 seconds, then pair again.
Start with the symptom you actually have
Different symptoms point to different parts of the connection. Use this table before changing several settings at once.
| What you see | Most useful first action |
|---|---|
| No lights, no tone, or the speaker will not turn on | Charge through USB-C, inspect the connector, and check the battery by pressing + and – together. |
| WONDERBOOM 4 does not appear in Bluetooth settings | Turn it on and hold the Bluetooth button until the tone and rapidly blinking Bluetooth indicator appear. |
| Bluetooth says connected, but there is no sound | Choose WONDERBOOM 4 as the audio output, move the source closer, remove interference, and power-cycle both sides. |
| It connects to the wrong phone, tablet, or computer | Temporarily turn Bluetooth off on other nearby devices, then select WONDERBOOM 4 explicitly. |
| One speaker is silent while using two | Exit Double Up and test the speaker by itself. |
| It still fails after all software steps | Contact Logitech support or use warranty service; the published steps cannot rule out a hardware fault. |
Check power, battery level, and the USB-C connection
A speaker with a critically low battery may not stay on long enough to complete pairing. Press + and – at the same time to check the battery indication. Logitech/Ultimate Ears defines the ranges as follows:
| Indicated battery range | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 36%–100% | Normal battery | Continue with Bluetooth troubleshooting. |
| 10%–35% | Low battery | Charge before repeated pairing attempts. |
| Below 10% | Critical battery | Charge immediately; do not use a marginal cable or wet port. |
Charge safely
- Turn the speaker so you can inspect the USB-C port and charging ring.
- Use a clean, undamaged USB-C cable and a power adapter rated at least 5 W. The speaker does not include a charger or power adapter.
- Connect the cable firmly, but do not force it. Logitech estimates about 2.5 hours to reach 100% under suitable charging conditions.
- If the connector, cable, or port is wet, dirty, or damaged, stop. Clean and dry the area completely and replace a compromised cable before charging.
The speaker is IP67-rated and has been tested to withstand submersion up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. Water resistance does not make charging safe while the port or cable is wet. After pool or ocean use, rinse and dry the speaker, USB-C port, and charging ring before connecting power.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Put WONDERBOOM 4 into Bluetooth pairing mode
For a new device, pairing mode is required even if the speaker is already switched on.
- Turn on WONDERBOOM 4 with the power button.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button until you hear a tone and the Bluetooth indicator begins blinking rapidly.
- On the source device, open its Bluetooth settings. On an iPhone or iPad, use Settings > Bluetooth. On Android, open Settings > Connected devices (the wording can vary by manufacturer). On Windows, open Settings > Bluetooth & devices; on a Mac, open System Settings > Bluetooth.
- Choose WONDERBOOM 4 from the available-device list. A voice confirmation indicates that the connection succeeded.
If the speaker was paired previously, turn it on and select its name again in the source device’s Bluetooth list. Do not select a similarly named headset, television, or second speaker.
If the name never appears
- Confirm that the Bluetooth indicator is blinking rapidly. A steady or inactive indicator means the speaker is not waiting for a new pairing.
- Move the source close to the speaker while pairing.
- Turn Bluetooth off and back on at the source, then reopen the available-device list.
- Temporarily disable Bluetooth on nearby phones, tablets, and computers. This prevents another remembered device from reconnecting while you are trying to pair.
Fix “connected” but no sound
A Bluetooth connection and an audio-output selection are separate. A phone or computer can report “connected” while sending audio to its internal speaker, headphones, a television, or another WONDERBOOM.

- Start audio playback and open the source device’s output or media-routing control.
- Select WONDERBOOM 4 as the active speaker. If several speakers are listed, choose the exact model name.
- Bring the source close to WONDERBOOM 4 while testing.
- Move both devices away from other wireless sources and crowded wireless areas.
- Turn the speaker off, wait briefly, and turn it on again. Reconnect it from the Bluetooth list and test audio.
These steps address the common causes identified in the WONDERBOOM 4 guidance: wrong-output selection, excessive distance, wireless interference, and a stale Bluetooth session. Test with one source at a time so a second device cannot change the route during playback.
Stop another device from taking the connection
WONDERBOOM speakers can remember up to eight devices. WONDERBOOM 4 can also connect to two mobile devices simultaneously. That convenience can make troubleshooting confusing: a nearby phone may reconnect first, or a second connected device may be the one controlling playback.
- Turn Bluetooth off temporarily on every nearby phone, tablet, and computer that is not part of the test.
- Leave Bluetooth enabled only on the source you want to use.
- Turn WONDERBOOM 4 off and on.
- Open the chosen source’s Bluetooth settings and select WONDERBOOM 4 explicitly.
- Play audio and verify that the output indicator still names WONDERBOOM 4.
Once the speaker works, turn Bluetooth back on for the other devices one at a time. If the problem returns when a particular device is enabled, disconnect that device before using the speaker or remove its saved pairing through that device’s Bluetooth controls.

Leave Double Up before testing one speaker
Double Up links one WONDERBOOM 4 with another WONDERBOOM 4 or WONDERBOOM 3. If audio was routed to a paired set, testing only one physical speaker can make the working speaker appear silent.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- On one speaker, press and hold the center button for three seconds.
- Press and hold the center button on the other speaker for three seconds.
- After the speakers link, press the Bluetooth button on either speaker to leave Double Up.
- Test the single WONDERBOOM 4 with the normal Bluetooth connection procedure.
Do this before a factory reset when the only symptom is that sound is coming from an unexpected speaker. Double Up is a routing state; leaving it does not replace the normal Bluetooth pairing process.
Factory-reset WONDERBOOM 4
Reset the speaker only after charging, pairing mode, output selection, interference checks, and other-device checks have failed. A reset clears the speaker’s current connection state, so you must pair it again afterward.

Do you need an app?
No. The WONDERBOOM 4 does not need or have an app. Its features and troubleshooting controls are accessed through the speaker’s physical buttons and the operating system’s Bluetooth and audio-output controls. - Charge WONDERBOOM 4 and confirm its battery indication.
- Move it and one phone close together, away from other wireless devices.
- Disable Bluetooth on every nearby device except that phone.
- Exit Double Up if two speakers are linked.
- Enter pairing mode and select WONDERBOOM 4.
- Select WONDERBOOM 4 in the phone’s audio-output control and play a local audio track.
- If there is still no sound, power-cycle the speaker and phone, then repeat once.
- Perform the factory reset and pair again if the controlled test still fails.
If a second phone works after the reset, the original source’s Bluetooth profile or output selection is the likely cause. If no source can discover, pair with, or play through the speaker after a reset and a full charge, move to support rather than repeatedly resetting it.
When to contact support or warranty service
Contact Logitech support or warranty service when WONDERBOOM 4 remains unusable after the documented charging, pairing, output, interference, Double Up, and reset steps. Include the source device type, whether the Bluetooth indicator enters pairing mode, the battery indication, and whether the failure is “not discovered,” “connected but silent,” or “disconnects.” That information helps support distinguish a source-setting problem from a speaker fault.
The troubleshooting instructions are manufacturer guidance; they do not establish that every failure is software-related or that any one step will repair a hardware defect. Do not continue charging if the USB-C port, cable, or connector is damaged, and do not attempt to open the speaker.
