UCB Asset Management’s official site lists three open-end mutual funds, but the official UCB and Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) information reviewed does not confirm how—or whether—bKash supports investing in them. Treat the “seamless” claim as unverified until UCB or bKash publishes details about the transaction flow, eligibility, fees, and investor protections.
What UCB Asset Management offers
UCB Asset Management currently presents three open-end funds with distinct investment approaches. These descriptions explain broad mandates, not which fund is suitable for a particular investor.

The official UCB and BSEC pages reviewed do not explain a bKash investment flow. They do not establish whether bKash supports fund purchases, recurring SIP contributions, redemptions, or account linking, nor do they state how users are onboarded and verified, what fees may apply, which customers qualify, or how failed payments, reversals, complaints, and investor records are handled.

Those details matter before treating a mobile-payment channel as an investment service. Look for a current announcement or product documentation from UCB or bKash that explains the steps, charges, transaction status, and how units and investor records are confirmed. Do not infer those features from the title alone.
NAV, dealing days, and exit loads
UCB’s page displayed NAV information dated 8 October 2026 and said those prices applied on 11 October 2026. It also stated that purchases and sales do not take place on government holidays. These are time-sensitive page details, not a standing dealing calendar or a guarantee of the NAV available for a later transaction. Check the current NAV and dealing terms before placing an order.

The same page listed exit loads for withdrawals before 100 days for Income Plus and before 180 days for AML First and Taqwa Growth. The summary does not specify every charge or condition; consult the latest scheme documents before investing or withdrawing.
How to interpret UCB’s SIP calculator
UCB’s SIP calculator uses an estimated 12% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) as an input for its calculations and warns that mutual-fund investments are subject to market risk. The 12% figure is an illustrative assumption—not a promise, forecast, or guaranteed return. Actual investment values can differ, including through losses.

Regulatory and launch context
BSEC’s asset-manager registry lists UCB Asset Management Limited with an issuance date of 3 February 2020 and identifies the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (Mutual Fund) Rules, 2025 among the rules for asset management companies. BSEC’s asset-manager page is a regulator reference; investors should use current fund documents for the terms applying to a particular investment.
For historical context, BSEC’s 2023 release on the proposed launch of UCB Income Plus Fund gave an initial target of BDT 50 crore: BDT 5 crore from UCB Asset Management and BDT 45 crore intended for general investors. The release named Sandhani Life Insurance Company Limited as trustee and BRAC Bank Limited as custodian. These are historical proposed launch figures, not a statement of the fund’s current size or a description of a bKash service.

- Read the latest prospectus and scheme documents for the fund’s mandate, risks, charges, and redemption conditions.
- Check the current NAV, dealing arrangements, and any holiday-related restrictions through UCB’s official channels.
- Confirm the full exit-load terms and any other fees that apply to your intended investment period and transaction.
- Consider whether the fund’s asset exposure and, for Taqwa Growth, its Shariah mandate fit your circumstances and risk tolerance; the fund descriptions are not personal suitability advice.
- If using bKash, rely on a current official explanation of whether the channel supports the transaction you want and how identity checks, payments, redemptions, fees, records, and failed transactions are handled.
