To earn Ubisoft Connect XP, complete available challenges in a supported game, then return to the challenge and select Collect. Core Challenges award XP; Time-limited Challenges may award XP, currencies, or items. XP advances your Ubisoft Connect level, while Units are a separate currency used for eligible rewards. Which challenges and rewards appear depends on the game and can change.
How Ubisoft Connect XP works
Ubisoft documents challenges as the way to earn Connect experience points in supported games—not simply spending time in any Ubisoft title. Ubisoft Connect is a free service that requires a Ubisoft account. Its challenge feature is available only in selected games, so check the Connect page for the game you are playing rather than assuming every title supports it.
Core Challenges
Core Challenges award experience points toward your Ubisoft Connect level. Their specific objectives and rewards are shown in the game’s available challenges.
Time-limited Challenges
These challenges are available for a limited time. Depending on the challenge, completing one may award XP, currency, or an in-game item. Some rewards can require an additional task, such as participating in a live phase, so read the individual challenge details.

How to complete and collect a challenge
- Open the Ubisoft Connect menu, the game’s Ubisoft Connect page, or the Ubisoft Connect overlay.
- Choose Challenges, then open Core or Time-Limited.
- Select an available challenge and complete the task it describes.
- Return to that challenge in the relevant tab and select Collect to claim its reward.
Completing the objective and claiming the reward are separate steps: return to the challenge and collect it rather than assuming completion automatically adds the reward.
XP and Units are different
XP is experience that contributes to your Ubisoft Connect level. Units are a separate loyalty currency that can be redeemed for eligible rewards. Completing an XP challenge does not necessarily award Units: Ubisoft lists XP, currencies, and items as possible challenge rewards, while eligible ways to earn Units can change under the loyalty program.

How to redeem Units for game rewards
Ubisoft says Units can unlock eligible in-game Rewards, such as game content or currency. On console, open Ubisoft Connect from the game’s main menu, go to Rewards, select a reward, and choose Get it. Ubisoft says unlocked rewards become available in-game the next time you launch the game. Ubisoft also supports accessing and redeeming rewards on PC.

Ubisoft’s Connect overview also describes redeeming Units for Ubisoft Store discounts. Its example of 100 Units for a 20% discount excludes in-game purchases, subscriptions, and products including virtual currency; offers may change, so check the current Store page for your region before relying on a particular discount.

Challenge availability varies by game, and rewards may also depend on platform. Ubisoft’s loyalty-program terms say eligibility, eligible actions, Units, and rewards can differ by country. The en-US terms exclude Canada and apply to residents of countries where Ubisoft makes the program available; Ubisoft publishes separate en-CA terms. Check the terms applicable to your location rather than assuming one region’s rules apply everywhere.

The en-US terms say Units can take up to 48 hours to appear after an eligible action and that Ubisoft may change eligible actions or rewards. Those terms also describe a historical 24-month expiration period for newly acquired Units under a provision effective April 1, 2019. Because terms and balances may depend on region and account circumstances, consult the current terms and your account for the rules that apply to your Units.
