Ubiquiti claims up to 22 minutes of runtime for the US model at half load, defined as 960 W. The battery is rated at 720 Wh. The 22-minute figure is a vendor claim at one specified load point, not a guarantee for every rack or an independently tested result.

Actual runtime depends on the equipment connected and its load. The published material cited here does not provide a complete runtime curve or results for a particular installation. To estimate whether it will cover an outage or allow equipment to shut down, measure your rack’s actual power draw and consult current manufacturer guidance for your load rather than extrapolating the half-load claim.
How many watts and outlets does it have?
For the US model, Ubiquiti lists a 1.92 kVA rating and eight individually controllable outlets. Each outlet has per-port power monitoring, and the UPS supports remote power cycling. The 960 W figure is the half-load condition associated with the stated runtime; it is not the same as a published 1,920 W output rating.

Regional versions differ. Ubiquiti’s EU listing specifies 2.2 kVA, nine controllable outlets, and up to 22 minutes at a 990 W half load. It says the EU version comes with an EU power plug only. Do not assume the US outlet count, rating, or plug configuration applies to the EU product. Check Ubiquiti’s EU listing for the regional details.
Does the UPS 2U Pro work with UniFi?
Yes. It is designed as a UniFi-managed UPS, but management features depend on compatible, sufficiently current UniFi software. Ubiquiti’s US product page lists UniFi OS 5.1.25 or later and UniFi Network 10.5.67 or later, as well as current UniFi Mobile versions for Android and iOS. These requirements can change; check the live product page and your console’s software before buying or setting up the UPS.

Remote outlet control and per-port power monitoring are useful for managing connected equipment, but they do not replace sizing the UPS to the actual load or configuring a safe shutdown plan for devices that need one.
Can it shut down a UNVR or UNAS?
Ubiquiti lists Graceful Shutdown support for UNVR and UNAS when UniFi OS 4.4.3 or later is in use. The same product information lists NUT compatibility for third-party devices. Confirm that your specific console, storage device, and software versions meet the current requirements before relying on automatic shutdown during an outage.

Can you replace the UPS 2U Pro battery?
The UPS 2U Pro has a hot-swappable 720 Wh battery, according to Ubiquiti. However, the cited listing for the separately sold “UPS 2U Battery” (UACC-UPS-2U-Battery) does not explicitly confirm that it fits the Pro model. Do not assume compatibility based on the similar product names; verify the correct replacement part with Ubiquiti before ordering. See the battery listing.

- Regional model: Confirm you are ordering the US or EU version and that its rating, outlets, and plug suit your installation.
- Real rack load: Measure the equipment’s draw and treat the 22-minute figure as a claim at the specified half-load point, not a prediction for other loads.

- Replacement battery: Ask Ubiquiti to confirm Pro compatibility before purchasing the separately listed UPS 2U Battery.
- Current availability and price: Store listings change. When checked in 2026, the US page showed $679 before surcharge; the EU page showed €619 and “Available Oct 15.” These are dated storefront snapshots, not guaranteed current prices or availability. The US category listing showed no restock date. Check the US UniFi power catalog alongside the regional product pages.
Ubiquiti’s cited safety insert concerns the non-Pro UPS-2U, not the UPS 2U Pro, so its model-specific clearance and appliance warnings should not be assumed to apply to the Pro. Consult documentation for the exact model you purchase.
