No—Uber says customers should not share an Uber Eats account. Its guidance says not to give anyone your password, and a rider help page says customer account sharing is prohibited under its Community Guidelines. For a household, use the separate Family Profile or eligible Uber One family-sharing feature instead of handing over your login.
Why sharing your Uber Eats login is a problem
Uber’s account-safety guidance says, “You can help to keep your Uber account safe from phishing by not sharing your password with anyone for any reason.” It also advises against letting someone else access a device while the Uber app is open or in use. See Uber’s account-safety guidance.

A separate Uber rider help page says account sharing is prohibited under its Community Guidelines. That Spanish-locale page describes possible consequences for serious or repeated reports, including permanent removal for confirmed complaints and warnings and a strike system for unconfirmed complaints. These are the outcomes described on that page, not a guarantee of what Uber will do in any individual case. Read Uber’s account-sharing guidance.

Uber documents two household features that do not require sharing one customer login. Their purposes differ: Family Profile lets an organizer assign a payment method for invited members, while Uber One family sharing lets an eligible member share a membership benefit with one additional adult account.

| Feature | What it shares | Accounts and payment | Eligibility and controls |
|---|---|---|---|
| Family Profile | A designated payment method for invited members, plus order notifications, receipts, and order-status tracking. | Members use their own accounts; the organizer assigns the payment method without sharing card details. | Uber’s help page says users must be 18 to sign up and order. A profile can have up to 10 people, including the organizer. Only the organizer can add or remove members, edit the payment method or email, or delete the profile. The page says there are no individual member spending limits. |
| Uber One family sharing | An eligible primary member’s Uber One benefit. | The primary member may add one adult account; each account uses its own payment method. | The described benefit has plan-type exclusions and other eligibility conditions. Uber says availability or benefits may change, so check your account for current terms. |
Family Profile for shared household payments
With Family Profile, the organizer invites household members and assigns a payment method; members order from their own accounts rather than using the organizer’s credentials. The feature provides order notifications, receipts, and order tracking. Uber’s page says there is no individual spending cap, so the organizer should not assume they can set one. See Uber’s Family Profile explanation.
Uber One family sharing for an eligible adult
Uber describes a benefit allowing an eligible Uber One primary member to add one adult account at no additional cost. Each account keeps its own payment method, so this is membership-benefit sharing, not a shared login or shared payment card. The localized help page lists exclusions and notes that eligibility or benefits can change; check the feature in your account before relying on it. Details are on Uber’s Uber One family-sharing page.

What to do if someone may have used your account
Uber lists these as possible signs of unauthorized access:
- An order you did not request, or a call or message from a delivery person about an order you did not make.
- A receipt for an unfamiliar order.
- Account or payment changes you did not make, such as a changed password, email, or payment profile.
If you can still sign in, Uber recommends resetting your password. If you cannot sign in, contact Uber support through its account-hacked help page. The page does not state a recovery timeline.

Delivery delegates are a different case
Uber has a formal nomination process for a person delivering on behalf of a delivery-person account holder. Its page says the delegate needs an active Uber Eats delivery-person account and must be nominated beforehand. That process concerns delivery work; it does not create an exception to the customer account-sharing rule. See Uber’s delivery-delegate guidance.
