The two work-from-home upgrades Kayla Solino recommended in an August 20, 2026, article are the Eureka Ergonomic Ark SD standing desk and FlexiSpot C7 Morpher chair. Her case for them is personal: the desk suited her mix of seated work and walking, while the chair offered the fit and support features she wanted. That makes them worth considering if those needs match yours—not proof that either product will improve everyone’s comfort or productivity.

Solino’s article, published by ZDNET and syndicated by Yahoo Shopping, presents the Ark SD and C7 Morpher as higher-cost home-office choices rather than as the results of a comparative test. Why the Eureka Ergonomic Ark SD appealed to her
After moving, Solino wanted an adjustable desk that could accommodate both seated work and working while walking. She describes the Ark SD as an electric height-adjustable desk with a wood-like tabletop and storage drawer, and says its larger work surface suited her better than the adjustable desk she had used before.
Solino is five feet ten inches tall and reported that the desk rose high enough for her. That is a useful personal fit reference, not a guarantee that the desk’s adjustment range will suit every user or walking setup. Check the current manufacturer specifications against your preferred seated and standing positions before buying.

At the time of her article, the desk was described as costing nearly $1,000. That is historical context from August 2026, not a current price; confirm the price, model variant, and availability with a current seller before making a decision.
What to know about the FlexiSpot C7 Morpher
The C7 Morpher was Solino’s choice for the long calls and focused work she wanted to do in a more supportive chair. Her article reports a recommended user-height range of five feet six inches to six feet seven inches and a weight rating of up to 380 pounds. Those are product figures as reported in that article; verify the current specifications and fit guidance before relying on them.

The features described include adjustable seat height, arms, and footrest, plus air support for the lumbar area. Solino also describes the chair as heavy and says it was difficult to roll over carpet, so she recommends using a chair mat on that surface. If you work on carpet, factor in that practical limitation as well as whether the chair’s adjustments suit your body and desk setup.
The article characterized the chair as expensive and said it was available only in black at the time. Color choices and stock can change, so check current listings rather than treating that description as present-day availability.

How to decide whether either is worth the splurge
Consider the Ark SD if movement and workspace are priorities
- You want an electric height-adjustable desk for alternating between seated work and working while walking.
- You need more tabletop room than your current desk provides, or you value an integrated drawer.
- You can verify that the desk’s current adjustment range works for your height and the way you plan to use it.
Consider the C7 Morpher if its fit and adjustments match your setup
- Your height falls within the range reported in Solino’s article, subject to confirmation against current product specifications.
- You want adjustable arms, seat height, and a footrest, along with lumbar support.
- You have a plan for rolling it on carpet, such as the chair mat Solino recommends.
Neither recommendation establishes a general health or productivity benefit. The practical question is whether the features address a problem you actually have—and whether the current price and specifications make sense for your room and budget.
