The best TV that looks like art depends on what matters most when the screen is off: Samsung’s Frame models offer a dedicated Art Mode and a large art ecosystem; Hisense CanvasTV is a budget-focused frame-style option; and LG Gallery and TCL NXTVISION bring distinct gallery designs. For a premium Samsung with a wireless connection box, consider The Frame Pro. These are different approaches, not interchangeable art modes, and the right pick also depends on picture performance, mounting, size, and current regional availability.
Which frame TV should you choose?
| Model | Best fit | What stands out | Trade-off to weigh |
|---|---|---|---|
| Samsung The Frame Pro 2026 | Buyers who want Samsung’s premium art-TV tier | Neo QLED 4K, Art Mode, Wireless One Connect, and a choice of 55-, 65-, 75-, or 85-inch sizes | Its launch prices were higher than the standard Frame’s at corresponding sizes |
| Samsung The Frame 2026 | Buyers who want Samsung Art Mode with built-in connections | Art Mode, included Slim Fit Wall Mount, and sizes up to 98 inches | Customizable bezels and full Art Store access can add cost |
| Hisense CanvasTV 2026 | Budget-focused shoppers looking for a dedicated frame-style set | Matte finish, Dolby Vision support, teak frame, and included slim wall mount, according to RTINGS | RTINGS reports more limited included art, weaker accuracy, and very slow response that can blur motion |
| Amazon Ember Artline 2026 | Buyers who want to select a bezel color at purchase | A selectable bezel color; RTINGS describes its image quality as similar to CanvasTV | RTINGS notes somewhat weaker motion and a typical price premium over Hisense |
| LG Gallery TV 2026 | Buyers drawn to an attachable-frame design and Gallery+ integration | Gallery+ includes artwork, personal photos, and AI-created visuals | RTINGS rated it less favorably than several rivals in its review; actual US price and availability should be checked |
| TCL NXTVISION | Buyers considering a model-specific art-style alternative | RTINGS found better motion handling than LG Gallery in its comparison | Art features vary by model; confirm the exact SKU before relying on a feature list |
These distinctions are based on manufacturer descriptions and RTINGS assessments, not a single universal ranking or a hands-on test for this article. Check the precise US model number, size, current street price, stock, art-service access, and included accessories before buying.
What makes an art TV different?
A TV that looks like art is more than a thin television hung close to the wall. Some models have a dedicated art mode or art service; others present gallery-style imagery or screensavers. They also differ in whether they can show personal photos, how much art is included, whether a subscription unlocks a larger catalog, and how the screen handles reflections in a bright room.
For Samsung’s 2026 Frame lineup, Art Mode is a dedicated feature. Samsung Electronics America says its Art Store offered more than 5,000 works from over 800 artists; that is the company’s published count, not an independent catalog audit. Samsung says a subscription is required for the full selection, while Art Store Streams provides 30 curated works monthly subject to service terms and regional availability. LG says Gallery+ offers over 5,000 curated artworks and supports personal images and AI-created visuals; LG describes Gallery+ as a subscription service for supported webOS TVs. Catalog size alone does not establish which service has the art you want or what access costs in your region.

Samsung’s April 2, 2026 announcement also repeats a Circana-defined claim that Samsung was the No. 1 Art TV brand in the US by dollar and unit sales for the 12 months ending December 2025. That is a category-specific claim reproduced by Samsung, not a ranking of all televisions or proof that one model is best for every household.
How the six models compare
Samsung The Frame Pro 2026: premium hardware and wireless connections
The Frame Pro pairs Samsung’s Art Mode with Neo QLED 4K and Wireless One Connect. Samsung says the wireless connection box can be placed up to 30 feet away, subject to wireless-placement limitations; confirm that your room and installation suit the connection arrangement. Sizes are 55, 65, 75, and 85 inches. Samsung’s US launch prices were $1,499.99, $1,999.99, $2,799.99, and $3,999.99, respectively. Those are launch prices, not guaranteed current prices.
Choose this tier if a wireless connection box and the higher-tier display hardware are priorities. If those do not solve a specific room or viewing need, compare the standard Frame before paying the Pro premium.

Samsung The Frame 2026: Art Mode with built-in connections
The standard Frame keeps the dedicated Art Mode and uses built-in connections rather than the Pro’s wireless box. Samsung lists an included Slim Fit Wall Mount and sizes of 55, 65, 75, 85, and 98 inches. Its US launch prices were $1,199.99 (55), $1,499.99 (65), $1,999.99 (75), $2,999.99 (85), and $4,499.99 (98). Treat these as launch figures; sale prices and stock can change.
Samsung says both 2026 Frame models have its Glare Free technology. That is a manufacturer description, not a substitute for model-specific testing in your room. Customizable bezels are sold separately, and full Art Store access requires a paid subscription, so include those costs if you want a particular frame finish or the full catalog.
Hisense CanvasTV 2026: a budget-oriented frame-style set
RTINGS lists 50-, 55-, 65-, 75-, and 85-inch CanvasTV sizes, a matte finish, Dolby Vision support, a teak frame, and an included slim wall mount. It says the set offers more brightness than the standard Frame, but reports poorer accuracy and very slow response that can make motion look blurry. That assessment is RTINGS’ finding, not a universal result across all rooms or viewing preferences.

RTINGS also notes that the included art selection is more limited and that owners can upload photos by USB or a phone QR code. This makes CanvasTV worth considering if its price and frame presentation suit you, but check motion-sensitive content and art-library needs against the reviewer’s trade-offs.

Amazon Ember Artline 2026: choose a bezel color
RTINGS describes Ember Artline image quality as similar to CanvasTV, with somewhat weaker motion handling and a typical price premium over Hisense. The bezel color can be selected at purchase, which is a practical distinction if matching the room matters. The price relationship is a general comparison from RTINGS, not a fixed current price; check the exact size and listing available to you.
LG Gallery TV 2026: framed design with Gallery+
LG’s Gallery TV uses attachable frames and integrates with Gallery+, which LG says offers more than 5,000 curated artworks alongside personal photos and AI-created visuals. LG’s May 18, 2026 release said US pricing and availability were still to be announced at that time. RTINGS later reviewed 55- and 65-inch models and rated the TV less favorably than several rivals in its review. Weigh that assessment against the design and art-service features, and verify current US availability rather than treating the earlier announcement as a current status report.
TCL NXTVISION: verify the specific model
NXTVISION is an art-style alternative, but the available comparison does not establish that every NXTVISION model has identical art features. Check the exact regional SKU and its art or gallery functions before buying. In its comparison of TCL NXTVISION with LG Gallery, RTINGS described the TVs as similar overall, with better motion handling on TCL and better default SDR accuracy on LG. Those are the reviewer’s comparative findings, not a claim about every model year or viewing condition.
How to choose for your room and budget
Start with the wall, viewing distance, and connections
- Choose a screen size that suits both your viewing distance and the wall. The largest available model is not automatically the best fit for a room’s proportions.
- Decide whether you want a dedicated art mode, a gallery-style implementation, or simply an attractive screen saver. Confirm whether the model can display your own photos.
- Check where the cables and connection hardware will go. The standard Frame has built-in connections; the Pro’s wireless box offers a different installation arrangement, with Samsung’s stated placement limit and conditions.
- Confirm whether the mount and frame are included. For example, Samsung includes a Slim Fit Wall Mount with the standard Frame, while bezel add-ons are sold separately; LG’s included frame type differs from its separately sold option.
Match screen performance to what you watch
Art presentation is only part of a television’s job. Consider ambient light and reflections, picture accuracy, brightness, HDR support, motion handling, and the kinds of programs you watch. RTINGS’ reports distinguish the sets on these points: it notes CanvasTV’s greater brightness than the standard Frame alongside weaker accuracy and slow response, and describes Ember Artline as similar in image quality to CanvasTV but somewhat weaker in motion. Its LG Gallery comparison found better motion handling on TCL and better default SDR accuracy on LG. Treat each statement as that reviewer’s assessment rather than a universal verdict.
Calculate ownership cost, not just the TV price
Compare the current price for the exact size and region, then add any frame or bezel upgrade, mount, installation, and art-service subscription you expect to use. Samsung’s launch prices above are historical launch figures, not live quotes. LG’s pricing and availability were not yet announced in its May 18 release, so consult current US listings. Art libraries, subscriptions, accessories, model codes, and bundles can differ by country.
Quick Recap
What to verify before ordering
- Confirm the exact model code and size. Names such as NXTVISION can cover variants; do not assume one model’s art features apply to another.
- Check regional art-service access. Review the available catalog, personal-photo options, subscription terms, and any promotional offer for your country.
- Review what is in the box. Verify the wall mount, frame or bezel, and any connection hardware included with the specific listing.
- Check current price and stock. Manufacturer launch prices and earlier availability statements do not guarantee today’s retailer price or inventory.
- Assess the room’s lighting and use. Manufacturer claims about anti-glare treatment and reviewer observations should inform—not replace—your consideration of where the TV will sit and what you watch.
