The Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless is a good fit if you want a Switch 2 controller with a distinctive character design, TMR thumbsticks and two remappable rear buttons. Its semi-translucent shells and RGB lighting make it one of the more eye-catching options; whether it is the cutest is a matter of taste. The compromises matter: TechRadar’s review reports that it lacks rumble, NFC and the ability to wake the console from sleep with the Home button.
What the wireless Rematch offers
This review covers the Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless Controller, not Turtle Beach’s separate, cheaper wired Rematch. The wireless model is officially licensed and listed as compatible with Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite and Switch OLED. Turtle Beach’s product page listed it at $64.99 in the US when accessed on October 7, 2026; price and design availability can change.
The listed designs include Donkey Kong Jungle, Starry Dream, Timmy & Tommy, Rosalina, Mario Kart World, Koopa Troop, Mario & Luigi, K.K. Slider, Super Mario Jump and Charcoal Black. The themed graphics, semi-translucent finish and four advertised RGB lighting modes are the controller’s most obvious visual draw.
- Controls: Turtle Beach advertises TMR thumbsticks, motion controls and two remappable rear buttons.
- Switch 2 feature: The controller includes a C button for GameChat.
- Wireless range: Turtle Beach lists a range of up to 30 feet.
- Battery: The manufacturer estimates up to 40 hours with RGB lighting off, or up to 12 hours with lighting effects on. These are manufacturer claims, not independent battery-test results.
- In the box: A 1 m USB-C charging cable. Turtle Beach lists dimensions of 160 × 135 × 65 mm and a weight of 0.36 kg.
Specifications and availability are listed on Turtle Beach’s official wireless product page.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
How it feels and performs
TechRadar’s review, first reviewed in February 2026, praises the themed, semi-translucent design and TMR sticks, describing the controller as ergonomic, well-sized and solid in performance. The reviewer also found the build somewhat plasticky and less premium than Nintendo’s Switch 2 Pro Controller. Those are the reviewer’s impressions, not a universal measure of comfort or durability. TechRadar reports weeks of use across Switch 2, the original Switch and retro games; this article does not claim independent hands-on testing.
Nintendo Life’s February 14, 2026 review also treats the wireless Rematch as a budget alternative to the Pro Controller in its UK-market context, and highlights its updated Mario styling and C button. See the Nintendo Life review for that reviewer’s perspective.
What it does not have
According to TechRadar’s review, the wireless Rematch has no rumble, no NFC and cannot wake the console from sleep using its Home button. That means no controller vibration, no NFC-based amiibo scanning through the controller, and an extra step when you want to start playing from the console’s sleep state. These omissions are the main reasons to look beyond its design and stick technology.

Is the Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless worth it?
It is worth considering if the themed design is a priority and you want TMR sticks, remappable rear buttons, motion controls and a GameChat C button in a wireless Switch 2 controller. The advertised battery life is also appealing if you play with RGB off, though it is a manufacturer estimate rather than an independent measurement.

Choose another controller if you regard rumble, NFC-based amiibo support, waking the console from sleep or a more premium-feeling build as essentials. The Pro Controller is the clearest comparison for rumble and NFC; the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 is another option if you want TMR sticks, subject to checking its current compatibility and features.

Turtle Beach also sells a separate Rematch Wired Controller. Its US price was listed as $29.99 when accessed on October 7, 2026. It is a different product: Turtle Beach lists Hall-effect thumbsticks, a 3.5 mm headset jack, a GameChat C button and mappable rear buttons. Its page describes a Goomba Stomp glow-in-the-dark design. The page gives conflicting cable lengths—10 feet (3 m) in one feature and 8 feet elsewhere—so the exact length is not established by the listing. Do not assume the wired model shares the wireless Rematch’s TMR sticks, battery or wireless features.
