To stop Samsung Pass from filling passwords and passkeys, change your phone’s preferred autofill service to None. On Samsung’s US support instructions, the path is Settings > General management > Passwords, passkeys, and autofill > Preferred service > None. If you want autofill to keep working through Google, select Google instead.
How do I turn off Samsung Pass autofill?
- Open Settings.
- Tap General management.
- Tap Passwords, passkeys, and autofill.
- Tap Preferred service.
- Select None.
This changes which service your phone uses for autofill; it does not remove saved Samsung Pass information. Samsung’s US support page gives these steps in its Samsung Pass autofill instructions.
What if I want to use another autofill provider?
Choose Google under Preferred service instead of None. Samsung lists Google as an alternative, so credentials can continue to autofill through that provider rather than Samsung Pass.
What if the menu path is different?
Samsung’s menu labels and locations can vary by device model, region, and software version. Samsung’s Bangladesh support instructions, for example, use Settings > Security and privacy > More security settings > Passwords, passkeys, and autofill, then the settings icon beneath Preferred service. If you cannot find the option, open Settings and search for autofill. Samsung notes that screenshots and menus may vary in its regional Samsung Pass guidance.

How do I stop Samsung Pass from popping up on my keyboard?
A Samsung Pass panel appearing above the keyboard may have a separate control from the phone’s preferred autofill service. Samsung Community guidance points to Samsung Wallet > Menu > Settings > Autofill with keyboard as a toggle to check. This path comes from community guidance, not a universal Samsung support procedure, and may differ between app versions. If the toggle is absent, use the Settings search for autofill or change the Preferred service setting above.
Does turning off autofill delete my Samsung Pass data?
No. Selecting None stops Samsung Pass from being the preferred autofill service; it is not the same as removing Samsung Pass data. Samsung says removing the device from Samsung Pass resets the service and removes its related data from that device. Consult Samsung’s Samsung Pass setup and use instructions before taking that broader action.
