The Tull Charitable Foundation’s current board is chaired by Beverly Daniel Tatum and includes nine trustees: Misty Fernandez, Glen Jackson, Samuel Johnson, Beth Lowry, John F. O’Neill, Clay Rolader, Napoleon B. Rutledge Jr., Tim P. Tassopoulos and Janelle Williams. The Foundation’s current official pages do not identify which trustees were the specific business and nonprofit leaders added in the announcement referenced by this headline, nor do they provide that announcement’s publication date.
Who serves on the Tull Charitable Foundation board?
The Foundation’s board page lists Beverly Daniel Tatum as chair and the following nine trustees:
| Board role | Name |
|---|---|
| Board chair | Beverly Daniel Tatum |
| Trustee | Misty Fernandez |
| Trustee | Glen Jackson |
| Trustee | Samuel Johnson |
| Trustee | Beth Lowry |
| Trustee | John F. O’Neill |
| Trustee | Clay Rolader |
| Trustee | Napoleon B. Rutledge Jr. |
| Trustee | Tim P. Tassopoulos |
| Trustee | Janelle Williams |
The board page does not assign each trustee to a professional category such as business, nonprofit, education or civic leadership. Those sectors should not be inferred from names alone. It therefore establishes the current roster, but not a reliable before-and-after list showing who was newly appointed.
What the trustees say about the Foundation’s work
Equity and access
Misty Fernandez describes her role in terms of equity and opportunity: “I believe leadership is about advancing equity by creating access and opportunity for others. Serving on the Tull Foundation Board allows me to help turn that belief into action through meaningful investments in people, families and communities.”

What is the 2026 Rebuild Grant?
The Foundation’s current grant context provides the clearest example of how its capacity-building approach is being applied. In 2026, the Rebuild Grant is expected to provide awards of up to $100,000 to approximately 20 nonprofits directly affected by federal funding or policy changes in 2025.
The program is intended to help recipients rebuild their business models and develop revenue strategies that can support long-term sustainability. That makes it different from a general annual operating grant: the stated purpose is meaningful organizational redesign in response to changed funding conditions.
