The headline “Tubi July Releases: 126 Free Movies and TV Shows Streaming Soon” refers to a July 2023 release roundup—not a current July catalog. The original article was published on June 28, 2023, and described more than 120 titles expected to arrive on Tubi during July 2023.
Most of the titles were scheduled for July 1, but the list also included films, shows, originals, and documentaries with later arrival dates. Tubi’s catalog is licensed and changes over time, so the 126-title figure should not be treated as proof that those same movies and shows are available now.
What the “126 Tubi releases” headline actually means
The number comes from a 2023 BGR article whose headline called out 126 free movies and TV shows. The article said that Tubi would add over 120 titles in July 2023, with most scheduled to begin streaming on July 1 unless a different date was listed.
That distinction matters. A page carrying the same headline in a later search result is not automatically a new Tubi release calendar. One newer page dated May 27, 2026 contains a substantially different 126-title list, but it does not link to an official Tubi announcement or official release schedule. It should not be treated as an update to the 2023 roundup.

Not every title started on July 1
“All 126 titles start July 1” is an inaccurate summary of the original article. Several entries had later dates, including July 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, and 28.

How to check whether a listed title is available now
Because Tubi does not guarantee a permanent catalog, the practical test is to search for the individual title in the Tubi website or app. Availability can vary by country, device, and licensing window.
- Open Tubi in a supported browser, smart-TV app, streaming player, game console, or mobile app.
- Use the service’s search feature and enter the movie or show name exactly.
- Open the matching result and check whether playback is offered in your location.
- If the title does not appear, try again on the device where you plan to watch. Device-specific catalog differences are possible.
- Do not assume that a title missing on one date is permanently unavailable. Release coverage has identified regional licensing, device differences, and staggered catalog rollout as possible reasons for a missing entry.
Tubi’s official Help Center does not document one universal menu path for monthly releases. In particular, a route such as Home > Movies > Recently Added should not be presented as a guaranteed option on every Tubi app version or device. The available rows and navigation can differ by platform.

No paid subscription is required to create an account. Tubi’s current registration page says, “It’s free. No subscription required.” The sign-up screen offers Continue with Google or Register via Email, followed by fields for First Name, Email, and Password, and a Next button.

An account is not required to be described as a paid tier. Tubi’s free viewing model is ad-supported, which means commercial breaks are part of the viewing experience rather than a feature reserved for an optional paid plan.
Signing in or registering
The current Tubi Help Center uses the labels Sign In and Register. The sign-in page provides these options:
- Continue with Google
- Sign In via Email
- Email and Password fields
- Forgot password?
- A Register link
If you are new to Tubi, select Register. If you already have an account, select Sign In. You can also use Tubi without treating registration as a subscription purchase; the current sign-up page explicitly states that no subscription is required.

The exact sign-in and pairing screens can vary by TV or streaming platform, but the official activation page uses the Activation Code field and Activate button.
Roku installation requirement
For Roku, Tubi says to install the latest Tubi channel from the Roku Channel Store. The device information page lists Roku firmware 7.7 as the minimum requirement and provides an Install Now button. If Tubi is missing or will not launch, update Roku before treating the July-release list as the problem.
Why a title may not appear
A missing movie or episode does not by itself prove that the 2023 release report was false. The release coverage identifies several practical explanations:
- Regional licensing: rights can differ between countries and territories.
- Device differences: a title or catalog section may not appear identically on every platform.
- Staggered rollout: titles may become visible at different times rather than simultaneously.
- Catalog rotation: a title that arrived in July 2023 may have left Tubi after its licensing window ended.
Tubi’s own website can also show the notice “Unfortunately, we’re not currently available in your area.” That message is a location restriction, not evidence that the title list applies worldwide.

What you can safely take from the original list
The 2023 article is useful as a historical snapshot of Tubi’s planned July 2023 additions. It is not a reliable method for determining what is streaming today. Use the dates in the original roundup as release-history information, then verify each title directly in Tubi before planning a viewing session.
There is no shell command, special URL parameter, or API command supplied by Tubi for loading the monthly list. The documented access methods are normal browser or app navigation, title search, account sign-in or registration, and device activation.

Were all 126 Tubi titles released on July 1, 2023?
No. The original roundup said most titles would begin on July 1, unless otherwise noted. It listed additional release dates on July 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, and 28.

Yes. Tubi’s current registration page says, “It’s free. No subscription required.” Viewing is ad-supported, so commercial breaks are part of the service.

Visit tubitv.com/activate, enter the code displayed on the TV in the Activation Code field, and select Activate.
Why can’t I find a movie from the July list?
