Truckful’s developer says the game runs at a steady 60 fps on Steam Deck at high settings through most of the game, based on the developer’s own testing. That is not an independent benchmark—and it is not the same as Steam Deck Verified status. The Steam listing observed for this article showed compatibility as “Unknown.”
What the developer announced
On Oct. 6, 2026, three days before Steam’s listed Oct. 9 release date, Truckful’s developer published a Steam Community update titled “Steam Deck Support Update”. The developer said it had been testing the game on Steam Deck since its 2024 announcement and had shown demos on the handheld at PAX East and PAX West.
The developer reported that Truckful maintains a steady 60 fps on high settings through most of the game. This is the developer’s 2026 performance claim, not a result from an independent test. The statement also says “most of the game,” so it should not be read as a guarantee of 60 fps in every scene or under every configuration.

Not according to the Steam listing observed in the cited material: its Steam Deck compatibility field displayed “Unknown.” The developer said it aimed to have Truckful Steam Deck Verified at launch, but an aim is not confirmation that Steam awarded the Verified badge. Check the current Steam store listing for the latest compatibility label; the status reported here is time-bound.

Will it run well on Steam Deck and lower-end PCs?
The developer’s update says Truckful was optimized for Linux-based handhelds and lower-end hardware. For lower-end devices that meet the game’s official requirements, the developer forecasts 30 fps at high details. That is an expectation from the developer, not an independently measured benchmark or a guarantee for every system.
What kind of game is Truckful?
Steam describes Truckful as a single-player delivery adventure. You drive an old pickup through countryside valleys, deliver goods to villagers, and uncover a mystery involving an ancient forest. The store page lists MythicOwl as developer and MythicOwl and Pocketpair Publishing as publishers, with an Oct. 9, 2026 release date.

What Steam says about controls
The Steam listing reports full controller support and recommends playing with a controller. That makes the game’s listed control setup suitable for a controller-based handheld, but it does not change the separate compatibility label or independently verify performance.
