Choose the operating system for your apps
All six detailed entries above run ChromeOS. It suits buyers whose work and study fit the apps and services they use on a Chromebook, but it is not Windows. If a course, employer, peripheral, or specialist workflow requires a Windows-only desktop application, check the app’s official compatibility requirements before buying; do not assume a touchscreen Chromebook can run it. The available listings do not establish a current, officially priced Windows touchscreen option under ₹40,000. ASUS India’s touchscreen product filter also shows no product below that price threshold. ASUS India touchscreen filter
Compare memory and storage, not just touch
The detailed listed configurations range from 4GB RAM with 32GB eMMC on the HP Chromebook 11MK G9 EE Touch to 8GB RAM with 128GB eMMC on the Lenovo Chromebook Duet 11 Gen 9. The HP Chromebook 14a-nm0006MU is listed with 4GB RAM and a 128GB SSD; other entries use eMMC storage. Check the exact SKU and storage type on the seller’s product page, and consider how much room you need for locally stored files and apps. A model name alone may not confirm the configuration being sold.

Touchscreen does not necessarily mean convertible
A touchscreen accepts finger input; a convertible hinge lets the display fold into other positions, such as tablet mode. Do not infer a 360-degree hinge or included stylus from a touchscreen label. Acer describes the Aspire 3 Spin 14 as a convertible with a 14-inch WUXGA IPS touchscreen and stylus support, but the available information does not establish that it can be bought below ₹40,000 in India.
