A pre-launch walkthrough says you start by exploring the Netherrealm, defeating escaped inmates, and collecting their nameplates; collecting enough begins a prison-management round. What Tartarus is—and what “reach the prison” means
Tartarus is not described in the available official preview as a separate destination reached through a confirmed menu or waypoint. - Defeat escaped inmates and collect their nameplates. The walkthrough says that collecting enough nameplates starts a prison-management round. It does not give a confirmed threshold; do not treat any particular count as established.
- Use the prison-management board. The walkthrough describes a management phase lasting up to 20 in-game days, with choices involving inmate targets, torture instruments, prison events, and the development of inmate rarity. The exact labels, board layout, and consequences should be checked against the live game.
- Fight the inmate groups and claim the resulting rewards. In the walkthrough, defeating inmate groups activates Warden’s Caches of corresponding rarity. After the encounter, the player can open activated caches in the reward room.
