To complete the Sprite collection before Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 ends on November 1, 2026, Eastern Time, use the same loop every match: find a Sprite through Cheat Code Chests, level it to Level 5, then extract it at a marked Extraction Site or with a Portable Extractor. Repeat the process while checking the in-game Override collection, because published Sprite counts currently conflict.
What Sprites do and what “mastery” requires
Sprites are active gameplay helpers rather than passive collectibles. Epic Games Support describes them as “little helpers on the battlefield. You can find and equip them during a match to receive a special Sprite Power ability.” Their value is therefore both tactical and collectible: you must find, equip, level and safely bank each one.
The reliable mastery loop is:
- Find a Sprite during a Battle Royale match.
- Equip and level it by playing normally and completing progression activities.
- Extract it at an Extraction Site or with a Portable Extractor before elimination or match loss.
- Confirm the entry in the Override collection, then repeat for another Sprite or variant.
AllThingsHow’s 2026 mastery guide specifies that a Sprite must reach Level 5 and then be extracted to count as mastered. Reaching Level 5 without banking the Sprite does not complete that mastery attempt.

Where to find Sprites in Chapter 7 Season 4
Use Cheat Code Chests first
Season 4’s main Sprite route is the Cheat Code system. According to AllThingsHow, dedicated Sprite Chests were replaced by Cheat Code Chests. Land near a cluster of these chests, approach one, and enter the arrow sequence displayed by the game.

The color establishes a minimum rarity, not a guarantee that every result is the exact Sprite you need. If a specific entry is missing, keep checking chests across matches rather than assuming one landing area contains the complete set.
Remember what Sprite Garden can and cannot do
Epic confirms that Sprites continue into Season 4 and that Season 3 Sprites remain represented in Sprite Garden. Sprite Garden is a display space for collected Sprites; it does not replace Battle Royale acquisition. Use the Override collection to see which base Sprites and variants are still missing.
Extract a Sprite before you lose the match
Extraction is the point at which a find becomes useful for collection progress. Carry the Sprite toward the nearest marked Extraction Site immediately after obtaining it. Delaying the trip to loot or fight increases the chance of being eliminated before the Sprite is banked.

Plan the exit before opening a chest: note the nearest marked site, avoid unnecessary fights, and rotate early when the Storm is moving. A Sprite that is not extracted before elimination or match loss is not safely banked for the collection.
How to level a Sprite quickly enough for mastery

- Explore the map while carrying or using the Sprite.
- Search additional chests.
- Enter Cheat Codes.
- Score eliminations.
- Survive the Storm and continue playing.
For a deliberate mastery attempt, start leveling as soon as the Sprite is equipped. Do not wait until the final circles: you need enough time to reach Level 5 and then travel to extraction. Once Level 5 appears, treat the extraction route as the objective and avoid optional engagements.
Check exceptions before committing to a special variant
Crown, Klombo and Bounty Hunter variants can use different leveling rules. Their individual collection entries are the authority for the requirement; do not assume that the ordinary Level 5 progression applies identically to every special variant. If a variant does not advance through the normal activities, switch to another entry and verify its rule in the collection screen before spending more matches on it.
How many Sprites are there?
There is no single stable published total at the time of this guide. Beebom’s 2026 guide gives two different totals on the same page, while Nintendo Life reports a separate launch figure for Season 4’s new Override content.

Because the numbers conflict and live-service content can change, use the in-game collection screen as the current checklist. This article’s checklist status is October 16, 2026; recheck the screen after updates and before your final sessions.
A practical match-by-match route
- Choose a landing area near several Cheat Code Chests. A cluster gives you multiple attempts if another player opens the first chest.
- Enter the displayed arrow sequence. When several chest colors are available, prioritize the highest rarity you can reach without taking an avoidable fight.
- Equip the Sprite and begin leveling immediately. Explore, search chests, use Cheat Codes, take sensible eliminations and survive Storm rotations.
- Track the level during the match. Continue until Level 5 for a standard mastery attempt.
- Rotate to the nearest marked Extraction Site. Leave early rather than trying to finish one more fight or chest.
- Use a Portable Extractor when the site is unsafe or impractical. Beebom lists the price as 2,500 Sprite Dust, so reserve Dust for runs where it materially improves your odds.
- Confirm the collection entry. After extraction, inspect Override to identify the next missing base Sprite or variant.
How to choose between Sprite targets
There is no universally best Sprite. Beebom’s recommendation is experience-based, and different powers suit different play styles. Compare each target using the same criteria instead of ranking every entry on one tier list.

Common problems and fixes
The chest did not produce the Sprite I need
Chest color sets a rarity floor, not a complete target guarantee. Move to another Cheat Code Chest cluster in a later match and use Override to verify the exact missing entry.
I reached Level 5 but received no mastery credit
Level 5 is only part of the requirement. Extract that same Sprite afterward, then check the collection. If it is a Crown, Klombo or Bounty Hunter variant, inspect its individual rule because its progression may differ.
The extraction route is being contested
Leave the chest area immediately, rotate before the Storm closes, and use a Portable Extractor if the marked site is exposed. Do not assume a high-rarity Sprite is worth an unnecessary final-circle fight.
I cannot reconcile the total count
Published figures currently disagree: Beebom lists both 122 and 101 total Sprites, while Nintendo Life lists 11 new Override Sprites at launch. Treat the in-game collection as authoritative for the live season rather than relying on either article total.
Deadline to keep on your calendar
Epic’s live Battle Pass page states that Chapter 7 Season 4 ends on November 1, 2026, Eastern Time. Finish difficult mastery attempts before the final day, leave time for several chest-and-extraction runs, and check Override after each successful extraction so the remaining targets are clear.
