Account deletion and the Throne and Liberty data-transfer opt-out are different requests. Deletion starts in the Amazon Games iD portal and asks Amazon Games to handle data associated with that identity. The opt-out is a migration choice: it prevents Throne and Liberty game data from being transferred from Amazon Game Studios (AGS) to NC. It is not described as deletion of your Amazon Games iD or as erasure of every AGS record.
If you want to stop the 2026 migration, submit the separate opt-out request by October 30, 2026. Transition maintenance is scheduled to begin November 10, 2026. If you want data associated with your Amazon Games iD deleted, sign in at id.amazongames.com and use its deletion workflow. The official guidance does not say that either request automatically submits the other.

The two requests at a glance
| Question | Amazon Games iD deletion request | Throne and Liberty migration opt-out |
|---|---|---|
| Primary purpose | Ask for handling of data associated with an Amazon Games iD, including a deletion request. | Prevent Throne and Liberty account and game data from transferring from AGS to NC. |
| Where it starts | Sign in at id.amazongames.com and follow the data request flow. | Use the opt-out request linked from the official transition FAQ. |
| Identity requirements | An Amazon Games iD is needed to sign in to the portal. | An active Amazon Games iD and a platform account linked to it are required. |
| Effect on characters, progression and inventory | Not specified by the game support article; do not assume a particular record is erased. | They do not carry over to NC. A player who later plays under NC starts fresh. |
| Deadline | No game-specific deadline is stated in the cited support guidance. | October 30, 2026, according to the transition FAQ. |
| What happens to remaining AGS data | The applicable Amazon privacy framework and the account-specific workflow determine scope and exceptions. | The FAQ says AGS data follows standard retention and deletion policies, but gives no period or record-by-record list. |
The table separates purpose from outcome. A deletion request concerns data associated with an identity; an opt-out controls a particular transfer between service operators. Treating them as synonyms can leave a transfer preference unrecorded or cause you to expect a level of erasure that the published guidance does not promise.

What an Amazon Games iD deletion request means
The documented starting point
The Throne and Liberty support article titled Amazon Game Studios and My Data says that data associated with an Amazon Games iD, including requests for data access or deletion, can be requested at id.amazongames.com after signing in. That portal is the documented route for a deletion request. The support article directs players to the Amazon Games iD Help Center for the applicable instructions.

- Sign in with the Amazon Games iD whose associated data you want to address.
- Choose the data-access or deletion option presented by the account workflow.
- Read the confirmation screen carefully, record any request reference or confirmation, and submit the request.
- Keep the confirmation for follow-up with official support if the portal asks for additional verification.
The exact labels and verification prompts can change. Use the controls shown for your account instead of relying on an old screenshot or a guide written for a different region.
What the published game guidance does not establish
The support article identifies the route, but it does not enumerate the records that a successful request removes. It does not state whether character records, platform-account links, customer-support history, fraud-prevention records, transaction records, backups or every other Amazon-linked record are erased. It also does not publish a processing time or a complete list of legal or operational retention exceptions.
For that reason, a deletion request should be described as a request for deletion of data associated with the Amazon Games iD, not as a guaranteed promise that every trace of your time in the game disappears immediately. The account-specific portal, the response to your request and the applicable privacy notice determine the practical scope.

The Throne and Liberty privacy notice says Amazon Games follows the information practices in Amazon’s Privacy Notice. That establishes the general policy reference for handling personal information, but the game page does not provide a game-specific deletion schedule. If you need to know which category can be retained, for how long or under what exception, consult the notice and ask official support about your account rather than inferring an answer from the migration FAQ.

What the 2026 migration opt-out means
It is a transfer decision, not an erasure label
The transition FAQ describes a service migration from Amazon Game Studios to NC. Opting out tells AGS not to transfer your Throne and Liberty account and game data to NC. The FAQ does not characterize the request as deletion of the Amazon Games iD, and it does not say that all AGS-held data is erased when the opt-out is recorded.
Deadline and transition dates
The currently stated opt-out deadline is October 30, 2026. Transition maintenance is scheduled to begin November 10, 2026. These dates are tied to the published 2026 transition announcement and can be revised if the official FAQ is updated, so check the live announcement immediately before acting.
| Date or state | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Before October 30, 2026 | The announced window for submitting the migration opt-out. |
| October 30, 2026 | Current opt-out deadline in the transition FAQ. |
| November 10, 2026 | Scheduled start of transition maintenance. |
| No action during the opt-out window | Game data transfers under the standard migration path. |
Requirements and request path
The FAQ says the opt-out requires an active Amazon Games iD and a platform account linked to it. Use the official opt-out request linked from the transition FAQ. Do not assume that deleting an account, unlinking a platform or simply refusing new terms records the migration preference; the published instructions call for the separate opt-out request.
- Confirm that you can sign in to the active Amazon Games iD used for Throne and Liberty.
- Confirm that the platform account on which you play is linked to that identity.
- Open the opt-out request from the official transition FAQ.
- Review the account identifier and the warning about losing carryover data.
- Submit the opt-out before October 30, 2026 and save the confirmation.
- If the form rejects the account, stop making changes and contact official support while the window is open; an unlinked platform account may not satisfy the requirement.
Gameplay consequence
If you opt out, your characters, progression and inventory will not carry over to NC. Should you later choose to play under NC’s operation, you must start fresh. This is the material trade-off: the opt-out blocks the transfer by giving up continuity in the migrated service.

What happens if you do nothing
The transition FAQ states that if you take no action during the opt-out window, your game data transfers to NC as part of the standard migration. After the transition, players must accept NC’s terms and complete any required activation steps to continue. Inaction is therefore not a neutral privacy setting; it selects the standard transfer route.
Deletion versus opt-out: the practical differences
| Decision axis | Deletion request | Migration opt-out |
|---|---|---|
| Why you submit it | You want Amazon Games to process a request concerning data tied to your Amazon Games iD. | You do not want Throne and Liberty data moved to NC. |
| Data scope described by the source | Data associated with the Amazon Games iD; the exact record scope is not listed. | Account and game data that would otherwise be included in the AGS-to-NC transfer. |
| Character continuity | No outcome is stated in the game support article. | Characters, progression and inventory are not carried over. |
| Future play under NC | Not addressed by the deletion article. | Returning under NC requires starting fresh. |
| Timing | The cited guidance gives no processing deadline. | Submit by October 30, 2026; maintenance is scheduled for November 10, 2026. |
| Retention language | Amazon’s general privacy framework applies; account-specific exceptions are not listed. | AGS standard retention and deletion policies apply; the FAQ does not provide the duration. |
Neither column should be read as a shortcut for the other. The deletion workflow does not replace the migration form, and the migration form does not constitute a documented Amazon Games iD deletion request.
Choose the action that matches your goal
Goal: keep data from moving to NC
Submit the migration opt-out before the published deadline. Plan on losing characters, progression and inventory in the NC service. Save proof that the request was accepted, because the important outcome is a transfer preference, not a deletion certificate.

Use the signed-in request flow at id.amazongames.com. Read the portal’s scope and confirmation language. If the response does not answer whether a particular game, platform or support record is retained, ask official support rather than treating the request as an all-record erasure.

Goal: stop the transfer and request deletion
The official sources describe two separate procedures. Complete the opt-out independently while the window is open, then submit the deletion request through the Amazon Games iD portal, or submit both in the order that fits your account-access situation. The sources do not establish that one request triggers the other, nor do they establish whether a deleted identity can still authenticate an opt-out. If both outcomes matter, resolve that account-specific question with official support before October 30.
Goal: continue playing without losing progress
The opt-out is incompatible with that objective because opted-out progression does not carry over. Taking no action selects the standard migration route, after which NC terms acceptance and any required activation steps are needed. Decide whether continuity or preventing transfer is more important before submitting a request.
How to avoid an accidental wrong request
- Do not confuse a portal deletion request with the opt-out form. They serve different systems and purposes.
- Do not infer deletion from an opt-out confirmation. The FAQ says data is not transferred to NC; it does not say the Amazon Games iD is deleted.
- Do not infer transfer from continued account existence. An AGS identity can remain subject to standard retention and deletion policies even when game data is opted out.
- Do not wait for the maintenance date. November 10 is the scheduled start of transition maintenance, while the current opt-out deadline is October 30.
- Do not rely on an unlinked platform account. The FAQ specifically requires an active Amazon Games iD and a linked platform account.
- Do not promise yourself a particular erasure result. The published deletion guidance does not list every record or exception.
Troubleshooting before the deadline
The opt-out form cannot identify your account
Check that you are signed in to the Amazon Games iD actually used for the game and that the correct platform account is linked. Avoid creating a second identity to work around the error; that may leave the game account outside the request you intended. Capture the error message and contact official support while the opt-out window remains open.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →You submitted a deletion request first and now cannot opt out
The sources do not say whether a deletion request disables authentication or how quickly it takes effect. Because the opt-out requires an active Amazon Games iD, ask official support to confirm whether your identity can still submit the migration request. Do not assume that a pending deletion is reversible or that support will record an opt-out manually.

You opted out but expected your characters to remain
The stated consequence is that characters, progression and inventory do not carry over to NC. If you later play under NC, the account starts fresh. A confirmation of the opt-out therefore confirms the loss of migration continuity, not a preserved copy of your old progression.
You did nothing and now want to stop the transfer
The FAQ describes transfer as the default when no action is taken during the window. Check the live announcement for any updated deadline or remediation instructions, then contact official support. The available guidance does not promise a post-deadline reversal.
Retention, deletion and what remains unknown
The transition FAQ says AGS account data for players who opt out is handled under standard retention and deletion policies. That statement does not provide a number of days, identify every retained category or guarantee immediate erasure. The support article similarly gives the deletion route without publishing a processing time or a complete record inventory.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThose limits matter when you are making a privacy decision. A transfer opt-out can prevent the specified game data from reaching NC while leaving AGS-held information subject to the policies that govern it. A deletion request can ask for data associated with the Amazon Games iD to be deleted while still being subject to verification, legal obligations, security needs, backups or other exceptions described in the applicable privacy framework. Only the account workflow and an official response can resolve those details for your case.
A decision checklist
- Write down your objective: prevent NC transfer, request identity-data deletion, or both.
- If preventing transfer is part of the objective, check the current deadline and act before October 30, 2026.
- Verify the active Amazon Games iD and linked platform account required by the opt-out form.
- Read the warning that opted-out characters, progression and inventory will not carry over.
- Submit the opt-out through the official transition FAQ link and save confirmation.
- For deletion, sign in at id.amazongames.com and submit the separate request.
- Record confirmation numbers, dates and the identity used for each request.
- Ask official support about any unresolved interaction between the two requests, especially if account deletion could affect the active identity required for the opt-out.
- Recheck the transition announcement before acting because the FAQ and dates may be updated.
Bottom line
Use the migration opt-out to stop Throne and Liberty data from moving from AGS to NC, accepting that characters, progression and inventory will not carry over. Use the Amazon Games iD portal to request deletion of data associated with that identity. They are separate procedures, and the official guidance does not establish that either one automatically performs the other.
