These three browser games fit different parts of a football night: Presing is a host-led quiz, match predictions give everyone a pre-kickoff turn, and match bingo keeps players involved during the broadcast. Their creator, Oleksandr Alyoshin, says each game is a standalone HTML file that opens directly in a browser, with no build step or server required. The formats are useful precisely because they do different jobs—not because one is universally best.
Choose by when you want to play

Alyoshin published his account on September 16, 2026. The feature descriptions, implementation details, and testing claims below are his reports; the games and tests have not been independently verified.
Presing: a host-led football quiz
Presing adapts the Ukrainian football quiz show format into a game run from one host’s screen. The host presents questions and awards points, making it the most conversational of the three options. Alyoshin describes four rounds:
- League table: Players choose a table and guess where teams will finish.
- Categories: Questions carry increasing point values, and a wrong answer can give another player a chance to steal.
- Hidden theme: Six answers connect to a concealed theme.
- Final riddles: Three riddles have five clues apiece, with the payout decreasing as clues are revealed.
The quiz attempts to reduce manual judging for spelling variations. Alyoshin says its answer matching normalizes case, apostrophes, hyphens, some Ukrainian letters, and whitespace; entries can also have aliases. Longer inputs are compared using a Levenshtein-distance threshold. He reports testing 18 input variants, but that is a project-specific claim rather than an independent test result. A host still operates the game and awards points.

Match predictions: pass the phone before kickoff
This format collects forecasts from players one at a time. A pass-the-phone screen separates turns so that the next person cannot see earlier guesses. Each player predicts the scoreline, first goalscorer, yellow-card count, and whether the match will include a penalty or red card. After the match, the host enters the outcome and the game ranks participants.

Alyoshin describes a maximum of 12 points, allocated as follows:
- Up to 5 points for the scoreline or result
- Up to 3 points for the first goalscorer
- Up to 2 points for the yellow-card count
- 1 point for predicting a penalty
- 1 point for predicting a red card
The first-goalscorer check is not entirely automatic: fuzzy matching proposes a verdict, but the host can change it. That leaves room for a human decision when names or spellings do not match cleanly.

Match bingo: mark events as they happen
Bingo is built around a 5×5 grid of football-broadcast events, such as a penalty, a red card, or a commentator reference. The event pool contains 44 items, according to Alyoshin, so cards can have different combinations. Each player opens the same link on a phone and starts a new card.
A four-character code seeds a pseudo-random number generator to produce a repeatable card. The code and marked cells are stored in the URL hash, which the author says lets the card survive a refresh and be shared through its URL. This describes individual cards and URL-encoded state—not a server-backed shared game in which everyone’s marks update live.

What the one-file approach means
Alyoshin’s constraint was that each game be a single HTML file that opens by double-clicking, without npm installation, a bundler, or a server. He says URL state worked well for the small bingo and prediction games, and that avoiding a build chain helped keep each project finishable. Those are his reflections on these projects, not proof that a one-file architecture suits every browser game.

There is also a practical secrecy trade-off. The quiz answers are present in the page source. That fits the author’s host-operated setup, where players do not receive the host link, but it cannot keep answers secret from someone who can inspect the page. If secret answers must remain inaccessible to players, this client-side design is not enough; a server would be needed to keep them off the player’s device.

Mobile layout lessons from the project
Alyoshin reports two causes of a bingo grid overflowing on an actual iPhone: iOS text autosizing enlarged text beyond the intended size, and a long Ukrainian compound word forced a grid column wider than expected. He gives these CSS rules as fixes:

}The `minmax(0, 1fr)` and `min-width: 0` declarations let grid tracks and items shrink below their automatic minimum size; `overflow-wrap` gives long content a place to break. These are the author’s reported remedies, not independently reproduced fixes.
He also says a GitHub Pages demo link placed in a repository’s About area was not visible in GitHub’s mobile site layout, so he recommends including the demo link in the README as well.

- Choose Presing if someone is willing to lead questions, judge answers, and manage scores.
- Choose predictions if everyone wants to make a private forecast before kickoff and compare it with the result afterward.
- Choose bingo if you want a low-interruption activity players can follow alongside the match on their phones.
The choice is about the kind of participation you want: shared quiz turns, individual forecasts, or event spotting. The creator’s account does not establish that one format is more popular or performs better in user testing.
