There are two separate floodgate puzzles in The Sinking City 2: the opening gate uses a three-fuse electrical panel, while the later Church Floodgate uses the code 1672. Choose the section for the puzzle you have reached; the answers are not interchangeable.
Opening floodgate: fuse-box solution
After collecting three fuses at the Allen Radio Store, return to the fuse box beside the floodgate lever. The nearby “Gate Fuses and Wires” note explains the rule: connect each fuse to wires of the same colour. The reported arrangement is blue on the left, green in the middle, and red on the right.
- Collect the fuses. Follow the opening route to the Allen Radio Store, also described as the electrical store in walkthroughs, and pick up all three fuses. AltChar’s opening fuse-box walkthrough and GameSpew’s walkthrough place them on this route.
- Read the wiring clue. At the panel, check the “Gate Fuses and Wires” note. Match fuse connections to the same-colour wires; the shapes determine which fuse fits each position.
- Place and rotate the fuses. Put the straight two-ended fuse on the blue wires at left, the three-ended fuse on the green wires in the middle, and the remaining two-ended fuse on the red wires at right. Rotate them as needed to align the connections.
- Validate, then open the gate. Confirm the arrangement using the panel’s validation control. When it accepts the setup, pull the lever beside the box.
The reported layout comes from an August 2026 walkthrough; if a later game update changes the panel presentation or controls, follow the same-colour wiring clue shown in your build.
Church Floodgate: combination lock code
Enter 1672. This later Church Floodgate puzzle is a year-code lock, not the opening fuse panel. Its clue asks for the year the church bell was made or installed.
Connect the clues titled “Floodgate Lock,” “Origins of the Redemption Church,” and “Report on the Bell.” The church was founded in 1667, and the bell was installed five years later: 1667 + 5 = 1672. NoobFeed’s Church puzzle guide and GameSpew’s walkthrough identify this clue chain and code.
