Frogwares has confirmed several enemies in The Sinking City 2, but its published guides do not provide a complete bestiary or a weakness for every creature. The only clearly documented weak-point mechanic is for Slither: their vulnerable spots move, and talents or weapon upgrades can increase damage against them. For the other named monsters, the available developer descriptions support behavior and positioning advice—not a specific target or best weapon.
Which enemies are confirmed?
Frogwares’ creature designer discusses five selected enemy groups, and the game director names additional threats. These are confirmed examples, not a complete roster of every enemy in the game.
| Enemy | What is established | Weak point or practical guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Slither worms and abominations | Colonies of deep-sea parasites control corpses. Their movement is awkward and erratic because the colony is operating an unfamiliar body indirectly. | Moving weak spots are described by a reviewer; Frogwares confirms that talents and weapon upgrades can boost damage against Slither weak points. |
| Stygian Harvester | Small and relatively fragile, but fast. It dodges, ambushes, and retreats to hide when pressured. | No specific anatomical weak point or weapon counter is established. Avoid blindly pursuing one; it may lead you into an ambush. |
| Acheronian | Powerful and resilient, but slower than some threats. | No exact weak point is established. Treat positioning as important rather than relying on a documented precision target. |
| Acheronian Juggernaut | Described by Xbox Wire as a mini-boss formed from fused bodies. It is slow, but dangerous in confined spaces. | No exact weak point is established. Make room to maneuver where possible. |
| Lethian Revenant | Named by the game director as an enemy type. | The cited developer material does not establish a behavior, weakness, or counter. |
| Deep Ones | Named by the game director as an enemy type. | The cited developer material does not establish a behavior, weakness, or counter. |
| The Shadow | Named by the game director among the enemies or threats. | The cited developer material does not establish a behavior, weakness, or counter. |
Where are Slither weak points?
Frogwares confirms that Slither have weak points and that combat talents and weapon upgrades can stack damage against them. GamesRadar’s review describes the visible weak spots as pus-like mounds that shift across the creature’s body. That means there is no supported fixed headshot location to memorize: look for the active mound rather than assuming it will appear on the same body part each time. GamesRadar+’s review also notes that finding and hitting the moving target can be difficult when other enemies are pressuring you.

It also describes stomping as a way to crush Slither. Those are observed play details, not a developer guarantee that stomping works in every encounter or situation. Frogwares’ Xbox Wire combat overview is more specific about the confirmed weak-point damage synergy than about any single weapon or attack.

How should you approach the other documented enemies?
Stygian Harvester: expect movement and ambushes
The Harvester’s speed, dodging, and retreat behavior make a sustained chase risky. Frogwares’ game director warns that pursuing one can draw you toward an ambush. No particular weak point or weapon is specified, so focus on staying alert and avoiding an exposed pursuit rather than spending ammunition on a guessed anatomical target. The creature designer’s PlayStation.Blog article describes its speed and evasive behavior.
Acheronian and Juggernaut: prioritize space
The ordinary Acheronian is described as tough and powerful but slow. The Juggernaut raises the stakes in enclosed areas: Xbox Wire calls it a mini-boss and emphasizes the danger of its size and attacks. The supported advice is about positioning, not a special weak point. If the space is tight, avoid letting the creature dictate where you stand; the cited sources do not identify a specific body part to target.
For the remaining named threats, do not assume a weakness
Lethian Revenants, Deep Ones, and the Shadow are named by Frogwares’ game director, but the cited official material does not explain their attack patterns or vulnerabilities. There is not enough verified information here to recommend a weak-point shot, weapon, or counter for them.
How to manage scarce ammunition
Frogwares frames combat as survival horror: ammunition is scarce and monsters are tough. Calvin can dodge, punch, and stomp; weapon upgrades and talents support different approaches, while exploration can turn up resources and upgrades. The developer’s advice is to explore those options and find what works for the encounter, rather than assuming every fight has the same solution.
Rank #3
- Spend upgrades deliberately: the documented damage synergy against Slither weak points is a specific option, not evidence that the same investment improves damage against every enemy.
- Use movement to avoid taking hits, especially against fast enemies or large threats in confined spaces.
- Consider melee when an opening makes it practical. PC Gamer’s review describes baiting a charge, sidestepping, then using melee to conserve ammunition; that is one reviewer’s observed tactic, not a guaranteed solution for every monster.
- Explore for resources and upgrades when it is safe to do so. The developer identifies exploration as part of managing the game’s combat pressure.
Precision shots are not always easy: moving Slither weak spots can be hard to hit while multiple enemies are present. Choose the opportunity that the encounter gives you instead of treating a weak-point shot as effortless or mandatory.
What changed in the post-launch patch?
Frogwares’ console Patch 1.0.1 notes, dated August 25, 2026, list fixes involving enemy attacks in a specific situation, shotgun reload behavior, Slither visual glitches, and other bugs. The notes establish that post-launch fixes were made; they do not say that enemy weaknesses or combat balance were comprehensively changed. See the console Patch 1.0.1 notes for the listed fixes.

Sources and scope
The game launched on August 18, 2026. Frogwares’ official articles from that date provide the enemy descriptions and combat guidance here: the creature-design article on PlayStation.Blog and the game director’s combat overview on Xbox Wire. The moving Slither weak-spot description and the charge-baiting melee tactic come from independent reviews, not developer specifications. Taken together, these sources support a useful guide to named enemies and one documented weak-point mechanic, but not a complete enemy list or a weakness chart for every monster.
