The Sinking City 2’s launch-window item guide lists five consumables: three healing items, one Night Shade recharge resource and one disposable key for a high-security crate. The healing items restore a small, significant or full amount of health, respectively; exact health values and fixed locations are not established.
All five consumables at a glance
| Item | Role | Reported effect |
|---|---|---|
| Dolorocide Pills (Harold Melville’s Dolorocide) | Healing | Restores a small amount of health. |
| Regenerine Tonic (Akeley’s Experimental Tonic) | Healing | Restores a significant amount of health. |
| Lifesaver Kit (Herbert West’s Patented Lifesaver Kit) | Healing | Restores health completely. |
| Night Ore | Utility | Recharges the Night Shade; it is not a healing item. |
| E.R.C. Activator Pen | Utility | Opens a high-security Emergency Relief Crate; it is not a healing item. |
These names and effects come from a launch-window guide updated August 21, 2026, and may not cover changes in later game builds. The guide describes healing only qualitatively: it does not give health points, item caps, prices, drop rates or fixed locations. NerdsChalk’s item guide
Which healing item should you use?
Dolorocide Pills: small recovery
The guide describes Dolorocide Pills as restoring a small amount of health. They suit lighter damage when a full recovery would exceed what you need, but the available source does not establish an exact amount or a specific use threshold.
Regenerine Tonic: significant recovery
Regenerine Tonic is the middle qualitative tier: it restores a significant amount of health. No numeric value is published, so it is not possible to calculate precisely how many uses it takes to refill a health bar.
#1 Best Overall
Lifesaver Kit: complete recovery
The Lifesaver Kit restores health completely, according to the guide. Its full-restoration effect makes it the strongest stated healing option, though the source does not specify whether its availability or use is limited by a cap or other rule.
Night Ore and the E.R.C. Activator Pen are utility items
Night Ore recharges the Night Shade
Night Ore has a Night Shade recharge function, not a reported healing effect. Keep it distinct from the three health-restoring items when sorting or planning consumable use.
The E.R.C. Activator Pen opens a crate
The E.R.C. Activator Pen is described as a disposable key for a high-security Emergency Relief Crate. It grants access to that crate; the pen itself is not identified as a source of health or supplies.

Inventory context and items not to confuse with healing
The official PlayStation description characterizes the game as a third-person survival horror set in 1920s Arkham, with inventory management and supply gathering among its systems. PlayStation’s official game listing A PC Gamer review from August 2026 describes inventory competition among weapons, consumables, quest objects and crafting items, and reports that healing can involve crafting herbs and chemicals. PC Gamer’s review That is useful context for managing scarce space, but it does not establish extra effects or rules for the five listed items.

Dream Essence is a Talent progression resource, not a healing item. The Steam listing for the Arkham Field Kit says its resource pack includes ammunition, healing and crafting items, but does not name which healing items are included. Steam’s Arkham Field Kit listing The add-on’s contents should not be mistaken for the in-game consumable list.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the available item guide does not establish
- Exact health restored by Dolorocide Pills, Regenerine Tonic or the Lifesaver Kit.
- How many of any item can be carried or whether the game imposes item caps.
- Fixed pickup locations, drop rates or prices.
- Whether these mechanics have changed in builds released after the guide’s August 21, 2026 update.
Use the qualitative recovery tiers as a guide, rather than assuming precise values or guaranteed locations.
