For quick cash in The Sims 4, use rosebud or kaching to add 1,000 Simoleons, or motherlode to add 50,000. To set a precise household balance, use Money [number]. Skill cheats follow a separate pattern and require the correct skill identifier. How you open the cheat console depends on whether you play on PC/Mac, PlayStation or Xbox.
Open the cheat console on your platform
PC and Mac
Press Ctrl+Shift+C during gameplay to open the cheat console. Type a command and press Enter. Electronic Arts documents this shortcut and the commands below in its The Sims 4 Cheats FAQ.

PlayStation and Xbox
On PlayStation, press L1+L2+R1+R2 together. On Xbox, press LB+LT+RB+RT together. EA warns: “If you use testingcheats, achievements will be disabled for the current save game.” This applies to the current save, so consider whether achievements matter to you before enabling it. See EA’s console instructions for details.
Choose the money command for your goal
These commands do different things: two add a fixed amount, one adds a larger fixed amount, and one sets the household balance to a chosen figure. Enter the command in the cheat console.

Sets funds to the amount you enter. EA’s example is Money 145897, which sets the balance to 145,897 Simoleons. |
For the exact-balance command, replace [number] with the balance you want; do not include the brackets. These values are the effects and example documented by EA, not estimates of how quickly a household earns money.
Use a skill cheat without guessing the identifier
The general format is stats.set_skill_level [skill_code] [skill level]. Replace the bracketed parts with the identifier for the skill and the target level. EA’s verified Programming example is stats.set_skill_level major_programming 7, which raises Programming to level 7. The syntax alone does not tell you each skill’s identifier; confirm it in the corresponding EA skill guide before entering a command.

Cheating a skill level changes the skill, but the game’s level-based unlocks are still useful to know. EA’s Charisma guide lists Small Loan at level 7, Large Loan at level 9, and Upload Viral Video and Call Boss to Negotiate Promotion at level 10.

Keep build and lot cheats separate
These commands address build/buy or lot behavior rather than money or skill levels. EA lists them in its cheat FAQ:
FreeRealEstate Onlets Sims move into residential lots regardless of price. Use it from the world or neighborhood screen when choosing a residential lot, rather than treating it as a live-mode money command.bb.moveobjects onallows objects to be placed outside normal grid restrictions. Enter it in build mode.bb.showhiddenobjectsreveals hidden items in the build/buy catalog.
