On the PC version covered by EA’s The Sims 2: Legacy Collection controls and cheats guide, open the cheat window with Ctrl+Shift+C, enter boolprop testingcheatsenabled true, then type a money or reward command. Console versions use a different method: their codes may require unlocking the Cheat Gnome first, and PC keyboard instructions do not apply.
Enter cheats on PC
- Press
Ctrl+Shift+Cduring play to open the cheat window. - Enter
boolprop testingcheatsenabled true. - Enter the command you want and press Enter. The commands below are listed in EA’s guide for the PC Legacy Collection.
To see descriptions of commands in the game, enter help or help -all in the cheat window.

Sets the named household’s funds to the value entered. Add a plus or minus sign before the value to adjust the funds instead. |
For example, replace [familyName] with the household’s name and [value] with the target balance. For an adjustment, use a signed amount instead. EA documents this syntax in its PC cheats guide.

These commands affect different things, so choose based on the reward you want:

Both are listed in EA’s Legacy Collection cheats guide. Aspiration points are not the same as unlocking career reward objects.
Console cheats: GameCube, PS2, and Xbox
Console editions do not use the PC cheat window. A console code reference says players must unlock the Cheat Gnome before other codes will work. The specific button sequence depends on the platform; consult instructions for the exact console and edition rather than trying PC commands. A GameFAQs Xbox cheats index also flags the Cheat Gnome as a prerequisite.
