The most distinctive The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time pre-order extra is a replica Nintendo 64 game box offered by French retailer Micromania during a midnight-launch reservation event. It is sized to hold the modern Switch 2 case, but it is not a worldwide Nintendo bonus. Availability depends on the retailer, country and remaining stock.
Nintendo lists the physical Switch 2 edition for release on November 5, 2026. The company says the game was built from the ground up for Nintendo Switch 2, with overhauled visuals, voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue, symphonic orchestral music, enhanced controls and modern camera movement.
What the Ocarina of Time pre-order deal includes
Micromania’s French promotion gives qualifying customers a replica Nintendo 64-style game box when they reserve the Switch 2 game at a midnight-launch event. The replica is designed to store the current Switch 2 game case, recreating the look of the original N64 packaging while serving as a display item.

Because the offer is tied to one retailer and one launch event, a French reservation does not establish that the box will be available elsewhere or shipped internationally. Customers should confirm the event terms, collection location and remaining promotional stock with Micromania before paying.

Other confirmed regional bonuses
Promotions vary substantially by market. The following comparison separates free extras from paid bundles and identifies whether the item is a first-print feature or a retailer promotion.
| Region and retailer | Bonus or packaging | Price and conditions |
|---|---|---|
| United States | Textured metallic-foil cover on the first physical production run | 9to5Toys reported $60 pre-orders at Amazon and Walmart versus a stated $70 regular price; verify the live listing. No U.S. retailer-exclusive collectible was verified as of September 12, 2026. |
| Canada, EB Games | Holographic slipcover using original Nintendo 64 box art | $99.99 CAD qualifying pre-order; cutoff November 4, 2026. Supplied when the game is collected, while supplies last. |
| United Kingdom and parts of Europe | Replicas of the three Spiritual Stones; some stores also offer an Ocarina pin | Retailer and stock terms differ by store. |
| France, Micromania | Spiritual Stones, Zelda wallet and the reported replica N64 box at the midnight launch | The box is tied to the reported launch-event promotion; confirm local eligibility. |
| France, FNAC | Ocarina keychain and Zelda coasters | Retailer-specific availability. |
| Spain | Nintendo Store Spiritual Stones; FNAC/MediaMarkt sticker set; GAME Ocarina keychain | Each item depends on the participating retailer and stock. |
| Germany | Nintendo Store Spiritual Stones with an optional pin; Otto Ocarina-shaped keychain | Options vary by retailer. |

| New Zealand, Mighty Ape | Ceramic ocarina bundled with the physical game | Paid bundle, not a free pre-order gift. |
How the U.S. price and foil cover work
A 9to5Toys deal report put physical pre-orders at $60 at Amazon and Walmart, compared with a stated $70 regular price. That is a time-sensitive report rather than a guaranteed current price, so check the retailer page for the total before checkout, shipping and tax.

The textured metallic-foil cover is described as part of the first physical production run, not as a separate retailer gift. Nintendo has not disclosed how many foil copies will be produced. A pre-order therefore may improve the chance of receiving first-run packaging, but it does not prove that every copy ordered later will include it.

Nintendo lists the release as exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, with handheld, TV and tabletop modes, one-player support, HDR output, variable refresh rate output and compatibility with Zelda-series amiibo.
Young Link and Young Zelda amiibo figures are planned for 2027. Nintendo says they grant in-game masks that evoke a retro graphical style; those figures are separate from the 2026 game pre-order bonuses.
How to secure the bonus you want
- Choose the country and retailer first. The French N64 box and Canadian holographic slipcover are geographically restricted promotions, not interchangeable global rewards.
- Read the offer conditions. Check whether the item is supplied at reservation, collection or a midnight event, and whether the wording says “while supplies last.”
- Confirm the final price and currency. The reported U.S. deal is $60, the stated U.S. regular price is $70, and the Canadian qualifying price is $99.99 CAD. None should be converted into another currency without checking the local listing.
- Save proof of the promotion. Keep the order confirmation and any bonus description showing the qualifying edition. This is especially useful when the collectible is handed over at store collection.
- Check collection timing. The Canadian slipcover has a November 4, 2026 pre-order cutoff and is supplied when the game is collected on or after the November 5 launch, while the Micromania box is linked to a midnight-launch event.
Which region has the best bonus?
For a true N64-style packaging piece, France’s Micromania replica box is the closest match, although it requires access to the specific midnight-launch promotion. Canada’s EB Games slipcover is the clearest broadly described alternative, with original N64 box art and stated supply limits. Collectors who prefer physical trinkets may favor the Spiritual Stones in the United Kingdom, Europe, France, Spain or Germany, while Japan offers the largest paper-art package. The U.S. advantage is the reported lower $60 pre-order price and first-run foil cover rather than a verified retailer-exclusive collectible.
