If you mean The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the most useful documented change is the version 1.1.0 filter that shows only favorited echoes once you have learned at least 30. Nintendo also added Switch 2 visual optimizations and HDR support in that update. Its notes do not document adjustable brightness, text-size, frame-rate, or graphics-quality settings, so there is no verified menu of performance tweaks to recommend.
Nintendo’s official update page is for Echoes of Wisdom; it does not establish “Echoes of Hyrule” as an alternate game title. The guidance below applies to Echoes of Wisdom, not to a separately verified game called Echoes of Hyrule.

The official Nintendo source for this topic is the update-history page for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. It documents one echo-list navigation feature and, for Switch 2, visual and HDR changes. It does not list a collection of player-adjustable readability or performance settings. Accordingly, the recommendations here are limited to those documented changes rather than generic advice about changing graphics options.

Nintendo lists version 1.1.0 as released on June 3, 2025, and as the latest update on the page when it was accessed on October 11, 2026. Its notes cover both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, but the visual optimization and HDR additions are specific to Switch 2. Use the favorited-echo filter to make a long list easier to navigate
When you have learned 30 or more echoes, version 1.1.0 adds an option to display only favorited echoes on both Switch and Switch 2. This reduces the items shown in the echo list; Nintendo describes it as a way to filter the list, not as a text, contrast, or general accessibility setting.
If you have not reached 30 learned echoes, Nintendo’s notes do not say that this filter is available. The notes also do not specify the in-game button sequence for favoriting an echo or turning on the filter, so this article cannot give a verified menu path for those actions. Once the feature is available, use the game’s favoriting and filter controls to limit the list to the echoes you have marked.

Nintendo says the update also fixed various issues for a smoother gaming experience on both systems. The update notes do not identify the issues, quantify the effect, or provide performance measurements, so they do not establish a particular frame rate, loading-time improvement, or fix for a specific symptom.

Nintendo’s manual update route is through the HOME Menu. Select the game icon without starting the game; the update process then opens the software options.
- Connect the console to the internet.
- From the HOME Menu, highlight The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom without launching it.
- Press the + or − button.
- Choose Software Update, then Via the Internet.
- Allow the update to install, then start the game and use the features available in your version.
Nintendo also says software updates install automatically when Auto-Update Software is enabled and the console is connected to the internet. If the manual update option does not find an update, the official page does not provide a separate troubleshooting procedure; it identifies version 1.1.0 as the latest version listed there when accessed on October 11, 2026.

Switch 2 HDR: when the update matters
The Switch 2 update adds HDR support, but Nintendo’s stated requirement is an HDR-compatible display while playing in TV mode. The release notes do not provide display setup steps, a recommended HDR level, or an in-game HDR calibration path. They also do not say that HDR changes text size or makes every scene easier to read. Treat HDR as display support, not as a verified readability adjustment.
The same update notes say visuals were optimized for the Switch 2 display and high-resolution TVs. Nintendo does not describe a selectable graphics mode, resolution control, or before-and-after performance figure. The documented optimization is therefore an update-level change, not a setting the player can tune from the evidence available on the official page.
What not to change based on these update notes
It is tempting to apply common gaming advice—raise brightness, change resolution, reduce effects, or adjust camera motion—but Nintendo’s cited update history does not establish that Echoes of Wisdom has those options or that changing them improves readability or performance. Nor does the page document adjustable text size, contrast, or frame rate. Do not assume those controls exist based on instructions for another game or console.
If a particular visual or performance problem persists after updating, the verified options in this source are limited: use the favorited-echo filter when its 30-echo threshold is met, and, on Switch 2 in TV mode, use an HDR-compatible display if you want to use the added HDR support. The source does not identify further user-adjustable fixes or promise that the update resolves an individual issue.
