The Nintendo Switch 2 edition of The Crew Motorfest is specified by Ubisoft for 1080p at 30 frames per second in both TV and Handheld modes. There is no official Switch 2 setting documented for 60 FPS or for trading image quality for a higher frame rate. The useful adjustments are therefore visibility, HDR calibration, motion comfort, camera behavior, controls and driving assists—not a fictional “performance mode.”
This guide separates confirmed Switch 2 information from the broader settings Ubisoft has documented for Motorfest on other systems. Menu names and availability can differ in the Switch 2 build, so treat the 2023 accessibility list as a checklist to inspect, not as a guaranteed Switch 2 menu map.
What the Switch 2 version actually targets
| Play mode | Ubisoft’s published output specification | What that means for settings |
|---|---|---|
| TV Mode | 1080p, 30 FPS | No documented Switch 2 selector for 60 FPS or a quality/performance trade-off. |
| Handheld Mode | 1080p, 30 FPS | Do not expect a separate handheld performance preset based on the available official information. |
| Tabletop Mode | Nintendo lists the mode; Ubisoft’s FAQ does not publish a separate frame-rate target for it. | Use the same in-game visibility and control checks as handheld play, and verify the current build’s labels. |
These figures come from Ubisoft’s Switch 2 FAQ dated October 8, 2026. The FAQ does not name a graphics-quality preset, performance mode or 60-FPS option. Its silence is not absolute proof that no additional toggle exists, but it is not evidence that one does. Do not import PC, PlayStation or Xbox advice into the Switch 2 version.

Nintendo lists HDR output when the console is connected to a compatible TV. HDR is a display feature; it does not change Ubisoft’s stated resolution or frame-rate target, and Nintendo’s listing does not promise HDR in handheld mode.

Finish the installation and online setup first
Several apparent “graphics” problems are actually installation or display-setup problems. Complete these checks before changing image controls:
- Internet and account: Ubisoft requires a Ubisoft account and a persistent internet connection to play. A temporary loss of service can interrupt access regardless of your video settings.
- Physical copy: The physical release is a game key card that requires a download. Nintendo of America lists the game file size as 58.5 GB on its US product page, so leave sufficient storage and download time.
- Cross-progression: Ubisoft says cross-progression and cross-save work across supported platforms. Purchases made through other platform stores do not transfer to Switch 2.
- Release context: Ubisoft and Nintendo list October 8, 2026 as the Switch 2 release date. Make sure the console has downloaded the current game update before judging the available options.
These requirements do not make the game run faster. They prevent you from troubleshooting an incomplete download, an account restriction or an unavailable entitlement as if it were a rendering issue.
Change visibility settings before anything else
Ubisoft’s September 4, 2023 accessibility inventory describes brightness, contrast and gamma controls, plus HDR brightness, black-point and white-point calibration. The inventory predates the Switch 2 release and does not confirm exact labels or locations there. If those controls appear in your Switch 2 build, adjust them in this order.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
1. Set ordinary brightness and gamma for the room
Start with the game’s default values, then look at a dark scene and a bright sky or road surface. Raise brightness only until shadow detail is visible; excessive brightness makes blacks gray and reduces contrast. Gamma changes the mid-tones, so use it to make road markings, barriers and dashboard details legible without washing out highlights. There is no evidence-based universal number to enter, because television calibration, room lighting and handheld viewing distance vary.
2. Calibrate HDR on a compatible TV
If your television and console output are both configured for HDR and the game exposes HDR controls, adjust brightness, black point and white point while watching for two failures: crushed shadow detail and clipped highlights. Keep the TV’s own HDR picture mode consistent while calibrating; changing both the TV and game at once makes it impossible to identify the cause of a poor image. HDR can make bright skies and lights more distinctive, but it is not a frame-rate upgrade.
3. Make the HUD readable
Ubisoft’s feature list includes HUD customization, HUD-element toggles and a high-contrast HUD option. If the Switch 2 version presents these choices, turn on high contrast when the minimap, speed readout or prompts disappear into the scenery. Hide elements you never use to reduce clutter, but keep navigation and event information visible until you are comfortable with the interface.

Reduce visual motion when it bothers you
The same Ubisoft inventory lists camera-shake and motion-blur toggles. These are comfort and clarity choices, not documented performance controls.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesCamera shake
Disable camera shake if crashes, jumps or heavy landings make the view uncomfortable or obscure the racing line. Leave it enabled if you prefer stronger impact feedback. Ubisoft does not say that either choice changes frame pacing or rendering speed.
Motion blur
Turn motion blur off when road signs, route markers or nearby traffic look smeared during turns. Keep it on if you prefer a smoother cinematic appearance. Because no Switch 2 test data is available here, do not describe the toggle as an FPS boost.
When the image still feels uneven
If disabling these effects makes the view easier to read but does not change responsiveness, that is expected: the published Switch 2 target remains fixed. Check the TV’s motion-smoothing features instead. Interpolation on a television can add delay or create visual artifacts; use the set’s game-oriented mode if available, following the television manufacturer’s instructions.
Make the driving controls fit your hands
Ubisoft documents remappable controls, sensitivity adjustments, analog/digital flexibility and adjustable vibration. It also lists support for the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller. The support material does not provide a verified Switch 2 menu path, so open the current game’s control or options screen and confirm the labels rather than following an assumed sequence.
Control layout
Remap the actions you use under pressure—braking, handbrake, nitrous, camera and look controls—so each is reachable without releasing steering. Test the new layout in free drive before entering a competitive event. Keep a written note or screenshot of the defaults in case an update resets custom bindings.

Steering sensitivity and analog behavior
Use a low sensitivity as a starting point if the car feels twitchy, then increase it until a full turn does not require excessive stick travel. Analog input gives gradual steering and throttle; a digital-style response can feel more immediate but makes fine corrections harder. Change one variable at a time and drive the same corner repeatedly so you can identify what helped.
Vibration
Lower vibration if it masks subtle steering input or becomes tiring in handheld play. Keep it higher if you rely on impact and surface feedback. Vibration strength has no documented effect on resolution or frame rate.
Camera type
Ubisoft support information confirms that players can change camera type, but the available material does not verify the exact Switch 2 path. Look for a camera option in the current controls, gameplay or view settings, then test cockpit, chase and other available perspectives in a low-traffic area. Choose the view that gives you the clearest sight of apexes, traffic and route markers; camera preference is not a performance preset.
Use driving assists as difficulty controls
Assists change how much work the game does for you, not how many frames the Switch 2 renders. Ubisoft describes auto-steering, auto-braking, traction control, ABS, counter-steering and drift assistance, along with a configurable racing line.
Racing line
Ubisoft project coordinator Anthony De Rueda explained that the upgraded racing line communicates the route, ideal speed and optimal trajectory. If the line is difficult to see, first try the high-contrast HUD or visibility controls. If it remains distracting, reduce or disable it once you can navigate from memory.
Beginner setup
Enable the racing line and start with stronger braking, traction and stability assistance. Auto-steering or auto-braking can help you learn event layouts, but they may fight your inputs in tight corners. Reduce one assist at a time after you can complete a route without repeatedly missing turns.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
Experienced-driver setup
Keep only the aids you need for the vehicle class. Lowering traction control or turning off counter-steering can make slides more controllable for an experienced player, while ABS and braking assistance can remain useful in traffic-heavy events. Expect a different driving feel, not a sharper image or higher frame rate.
HDR and TV setup checklist
- Confirm that the television model supports HDR and that the Switch 2 is connected to an HDR-capable input.
- Enable HDR in the console’s display settings only if the TV reports HDR correctly.
- Use the TV’s game-oriented picture mode to avoid unnecessary processing delay.
- Open the game’s HDR controls, if present, and adjust brightness, black point and white point while checking both shadows and highlights.
- Compare a representative race in daylight and at night. If one looks crushed or gray, correct the relevant black-level or brightness setting rather than increasing every slider.
Nintendo’s listing establishes HDR output for compatible TVs, not identical results on every panel. Handheld HDR support is not established by the cited product information, so do not assume that a handheld screen receives the same treatment.
Settings that cannot unlock 60 FPS
Do not spend time searching for a hidden “performance” combination. Ubisoft’s official Switch 2 answer specifies 1080p and 30 FPS in TV and Handheld modes and does not advertise a 60-FPS mode. Brightness, gamma, HUD, camera shake, motion blur, vibration and driving assists personalize the experience; none is documented to raise the frame rate.
Likewise, turning HDR off may change the appearance or compatibility of the signal, but it is not documented as a way to increase resolution or frame rate. If the game feels less responsive, investigate television processing, controller preference and comfort settings before assuming that an unlisted graphics preset exists.
Practical starting profiles
| Player or setup | Visibility | Motion | Controls and assists |
|---|---|---|---|
| Handheld on the move | Raise brightness only enough for shadow detail; use high-contrast HUD if available. | Disable camera shake or motion blur if movement is tiring. | Moderate vibration; racing line and braking assistance enabled while learning. |
| Living-room TV | Calibrate HDR black point, white point and brightness if the TV is compatible. | Use the TV’s game-oriented mode; choose camera shake and blur by comfort. | Remap high-pressure actions; set steering sensitivity after testing one route. |
| Clean, competitive view | Keep only essential HUD elements, with sufficient contrast for route markers. | Turn off blur and shake if they hide visual cues. | Reduce assists gradually; keep the camera angle that shows the next corner earliest. |
These are starting points, not tested presets. The Switch 2 build may expose fewer or differently named options than the game-wide 2023 inventory.
Troubleshooting by symptom
The picture is too dark
Check game brightness and gamma first, then HDR black point and the TV’s black-level setting. Change one control at a time. If the problem occurs only in HDR, compare the TV’s HDR picture mode with its game mode.

Text or route markers disappear
Enable a high-contrast HUD, increase contrast modestly and remove nonessential HUD elements. Verify that the television is not applying an overscan or aggressive picture filter.
The view causes discomfort
Disable camera shake and motion blur if those toggles are present, choose a steadier camera perspective and lower vibration. Stop playing if symptoms persist; visual-comfort settings are personal and do not need to match another player’s setup.
The car feels difficult to control
Check remapped buttons, steering sensitivity, analog/digital behavior and driving assists. Restore defaults if a custom layout is producing unexpected inputs, then alter one setting at a time.

That expectation conflicts with the documented Switch 2 specification. The available official information does not provide a 60-FPS mode or a performance preset. Check for game updates and television processing issues, but do not treat accessibility or control toggles as rendering upgrades.
What to verify in your copy
Because the Switch 2 settings menu has not been enumerated in the official pages cited here, verify the exact labels in the retail build before following any precise menu guide. Confirm whether brightness, gamma, HDR calibration, HUD contrast, camera shake, motion blur, camera type, remapping, vibration and each driving assist are present. Record the software version when reporting a missing option; menu availability can change with updates.
The reliable baseline remains the platform information: Ubisoft’s stated 1080p/30-FPS output for TV and handheld play, Nintendo-listed HDR on compatible TVs, an account and persistent internet requirement, and a key-card release that requires a large download. Everything else in this guide is a way to make that fixed target easier to see, control and enjoy—not a promise of extra frames.
