Can you reset skill points in The Blood of Dawnwalker?
According to The Blood of Dawnwalker Wiki team’s guide, there is no in-game respec option: once you spend points at a shrine, they remain spent for that playthrough. The guide was last updated October 6, 2026. Bandai Namco’s August 31, 2026 skills bulletin describes the skill-point system but does not explicitly say whether a reset is possible. Check the current game menus and official patch notes if you need confirmation for a later game version.
Why do skill choices matter?
Bandai Namco says Coen earns experience toward levels and skill points. The points are shared across the skill trees, rather than being limited to the tree associated with how they were earned. The publisher’s bulletin states: “Yes, there is one “shared” experience bar and one type of skill points to earn. You can use them in all skill trees, and assign them as you see fit.” That flexibility lets you divide points among Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampirism, but the bulletin does not identify a way to reclaim spent points.

Skill points are not the only progression requirement. Swordmastery and Witchcraft abilities also involve manuals: Swordmastery manuals can be found in the world or bought from fencers, while Witchcraft manuals can be found in places such as ruins or haunted locations, or obtained from practitioners. Vampirism progression is tied to increasing corruption by feeding. The official bulletin says unlocking and improving abilities also involves time.

What to do if you regret spending points
Check the current game first
Look through the live game’s menus and the latest official patch notes before relying on an older description of how resets work. The available guide reports that shrine-spent points are permanent, but the publisher bulletin does not directly address respecs. Do not assume that a medic, potion, shrine, or other in-game service resets points without current confirmation.
Reload an earlier save
If you have a save from before the allocation, reloading it is an ordinary way to return to that earlier state. This is a general save-management fallback, not a confirmed respec feature.

Continue with your current build
The official bulletin confirms that the shared point pool can be assigned across the skill trees. If you cannot or do not want to return to an earlier save, you can keep progressing with your existing allocation and direct later points where you want them.

Nexus Mods lists a community-made respec mod. It is unofficial, and the listing alone does not establish that it works with your current game version or save.
