The best Good Lock module depends on what you want to change. Choose Home Up for home-screen layout and gesture animation, Theme Park for coordinated colors, icons and folders, Sound Assistant for precise and per-app audio, and One Hand Operation+ for thumb-friendly shortcuts. If you use a supported S Pen, Pentastic adds pen-specific themes, sounds and commands. There is no universal winner: the right module is the one that changes the part of your Galaxy you actually find limiting.
Good Lock modules at a glance
Good Lock is Samsung’s collection of optional customization modules. You install the main Good Lock app and then add only the modules you need. Because Samsung can change module features and availability with One UI updates, treat the table as a decision guide rather than a permanent compatibility list.

Before installing: check your Galaxy and One UI version
Module names, features and regional availability vary by device, One UI version and country. The safest check is performed on the phone you intend to customize:

- Open Galaxy Store and search for Good Lock.
- Install or update Good Lock, then open it and select the module you want.
- Read that module’s Galaxy Store listing for the model and software requirements shown for your device.
- Install the module from its listing, return to Good Lock, and open its settings.
- If a module is missing, cannot be installed, or exposes fewer controls than described below, keep the phone’s model, region and One UI build in mind; do not assume the module is broken.
Samsung’s U.S. One UI 7 announcement said rollout began April 7, 2025, with timing varying by carrier. Its listed families included Galaxy S24 and S24 FE, S23 and S23 FE, Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, Tab S10 and Tab S9. That was an operating-system rollout announcement, not a current Good Lock support chart, and it does not prove that every module works on every listed device or in every region.

Samsung also published a 2020 overview listing Good Lock availability in Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, the U.K. and the U.S. Those historical regions should not be treated as today’s complete availability list.
Home Up: the best choice for home-screen control
Pick Home Up when the standard launcher leaves you fighting its grid, favorites row or animation style. Samsung’s One UI 7-era description says Home Up lets you resize and reposition apps, widgets and folders, hide the favorites row, and tune home gesture animations. It also describes placing stickers over app icons; those stickers can act as tappable shortcuts.
What Home Up changes
- Layout: Resize and reposition home-screen apps, widgets and folders instead of accepting the default arrangement.
- Favorites row: Hide the row if you prefer a cleaner page or need the space for another layout.
- Gesture animation: Adjust the visual behavior when moving between home screens and related launcher gestures.
- Sticker shortcuts: Use a sticker placed over an app icon as a tappable shortcut, as described in Samsung’s One UI 7 feature coverage.
Who benefits most
Home Up suits people moving from another launcher, anyone who wants a dense information layout, and users who dislike the visual motion of the default home transitions. It is also the logical first module if your complaint is “my home screen wastes space.” It does not replace the entire launcher, so the exact grid and behavior available to you still depend on Samsung’s launcher and your One UI build.
How to set it up
- Install Home Up from its Galaxy Store listing through Good Lock.
- Open Good Lock and tap Home Up.
- Enter the home-screen or home-layout section shown by your installed version.
- Resize or reposition the apps, widgets and folders you want to change.
- Turn the favorites row off if you want the extra space.
- Adjust home gesture animation, then return to the home screen and test swiping in both directions.
- If you use sticker shortcuts, place one over the intended app icon and tap it several times to confirm that the shortcut remains reliable before redesigning every page.
The cited Samsung walkthrough used a Galaxy S25 Ultra as its before-and-after example; that demonstrates the feature, not a requirement to own that phone.
Theme Park: the best module for a coordinated look
Choose Theme Park when you want the phone to look intentional rather than merely rearranged. Samsung describes Theme Park as a way to customize colors across interface components such as the keyboard, Quick panel and messaging interface. In its One UI 7-era coverage, Samsung also describes app-icon styling and home-screen folder shape and color controls.

What Theme Park can coordinate
- Color scheme: Build a palette for supported interface components.
- Wallpaper-derived palettes: Generate a starting palette from your wallpaper, then refine it.
- Keyboard and Quick panel: Apply colors to these commonly used surfaces instead of changing only the wallpaper.
- Messaging interface: Coordinate supported messaging UI colors.
- App icons: Style icons where your device and One UI version expose the option.
- Folders: Change home-screen folder shape and color in versions that provide those controls.
How to create a theme without making the interface hard to read
- Install and open Theme Park from Good Lock.
- Choose the theme or color-creation area and select a wallpaper-derived palette or a custom starting color.
- Preview the keyboard, Quick panel, messaging interface and other available components.
- Adjust contrast before saving; a color that looks attractive in a preview can make small text or icons difficult to read.
- Use the icon and folder sections separately if you want a more restrained change than a full theme.
- Save and apply the theme, then test light and dark surfaces you use every day.
Do not expect every screen, third-party app or system dialog to obey the same theme. Theme Park’s controls are defined by the module, One UI version and device, so an element absent from the preview is not necessarily configurable.
Sound Assistant: the best module for precise audio
Sound Assistant is the strongest pick for people who repeatedly reach for the volume keys and find the standard steps too coarse. Samsung says it provides finer volume adjustment, per-app volume settings and controls over how media volume behaves.
Useful controls
- Finer volume increments: Make smaller adjustments when one standard press is too loud or too quiet.
- Per-app volume: Set different levels for individual apps instead of changing the whole phone.
- Volume-button assignment: Assign the physical volume buttons to media or another supported volume behavior.
- Navigation behavior: Prevent media volume from dropping during navigation if that is the behavior you want.
Practical setup sequence
- Install Sound Assistant from its Galaxy Store listing.
- Open the module and locate its volume-step or volume-panel controls.
- Choose a smaller increment and test it with music or video; adjust again if the change is too slow for normal use.
- Open the per-app volume area and set levels only for apps that genuinely need different treatment.
- Review the volume-button and navigation options. Turn on a behavior only after testing it during a real call, navigation session or media playback.
Sound Assistant is not automatically better for everyone. If Samsung’s normal volume panel already gives you the precision and app separation you need, its additional controls may add complexity without a noticeable benefit.
One Hand Operation+: the best module for reachability
One Hand Operation+ is designed around thumb reach rather than appearance. It maps actions to horizontal, vertical or diagonal swipes from configurable zones on either side of the display. Samsung also describes controls for touch range, vibration, app exclusions and S Pen gestures.
Good first assignments
- Use a short swipe for Back if reaching the navigation area is uncomfortable.
- Reserve a longer or diagonal swipe for Home, Recent apps or the notification panel.
- Assign a gesture to a repeated action such as screen capture only after you have tested that it does not conflict with app gestures.
Set up gestures safely
- Install and open One Hand Operation+.
- Enable the left, right or both-hand handle areas shown in your version.
- Set a narrow touch range first; expand it only if the gesture is hard to trigger.
- Assign one action to a short swipe and one to a diagonal or long swipe.
- Choose whether vibration feedback helps you confirm the gesture.
- Add exclusions for apps that rely heavily on edge swipes, such as drawing, reading or games.
- If you use an S Pen, test the S Pen gesture options separately rather than assuming finger and pen gestures behave identically.
Gesture preferences are personal. A small, consistent set is easier to remember and less likely to trigger accidentally than filling every direction with a different command.

Pentastic: the specialist pick for supported S Pen devices
Pentastic is relevant only when your Galaxy supports the S Pen features it targets. Samsung’s feature overview describes S Pen themes, sounds, command and pointer customization, and shortcuts. That makes it a focused accessory to the main modules, not a replacement for Home Up, Theme Park, Sound Assistant or One Hand Operation+.

Which module should you install first?
Use the problem you are trying to solve as the tie-breaker:

You can combine modules because they operate on different areas. A sensible sequence is to change one area at a time: arrange the home screen with Home Up, establish colors with Theme Park, then add audio or gesture controls only if you need them. This makes it easier to identify which setting caused an unexpected behavior after a One UI or module update.

A module does not appear in Good Lock
- Search for the module directly in Galaxy Store while signed into the account used on the phone.
- Check the listing’s supported model, One UI version and region notes.
- Install pending Galaxy Store, Good Lock and One UI updates, then restart the phone.
- Do not use an old regional availability list as proof that the module should be offered today.
A setting is missing
Feature sets can differ by One UI release, device form factor and module version. Update the module, reopen it and compare the controls shown for your phone. If the control is still absent, assume that combination is unsupported rather than forcing an incompatible workaround.
Gestures trigger accidentally
Reduce the touch range, remove overlapping assignments, and add exclusions for edge-intensive apps. Keep one action per direction until the gestures become predictable.
The new theme is difficult to read
Return to Theme Park, increase contrast in the preview and test the keyboard, Quick panel and messaging surfaces individually. Applying a wallpaper-derived palette does not guarantee readable text on every supported component.

Undo the last Sound Assistant change first, especially volume-button reassignment, per-app levels or navigation-related media behavior. Test one control at a time so you can identify the setting responsible.
