Razlika od 50 grama može promeniti kako telefon deluje u ruci, ali dostupne studije ne pokazuju da postoji univerzalni prag od 50 grama niti da sama težina izaziva bol. Udobnost zavisi i od širine i debljine uređaja, veličine šake, načina držanja i vremena provedenog u korišćenju.
Šta zapravo znači razlika od 50 grama?
To je korisno poređenje pri izboru telefona, ne potvrđen ergonomski prag. Istraživanja navedena ovde nisu izolovala efekat tačno 50 grama na savremenim pametnim telefonima, pa se ne može zaključiti da će takva razlika svima biti primetna ili da će lakši telefon sprečiti nelagodnost.
Težina ipak može doprineti osećaju zamora tokom dužeg držanja. Koliko će biti važna zavisi od kombinacije sa oblikom uređaja i načina korišćenja. Telefon koji se koristi kratko sa obe ruke predstavlja drugačije opterećenje od uređaja koji se dugo drži jednom rukom dok se palcem doseže preko ekrana.
Šta pokazuju studije o težini i udobnosti?
Dizajn telefona i zamor mišića
Studija iz 2007. uporedila je simulirano korišćenje malog telefona na preklop i tradicionalnog kancelarijskog telefona kod deset odraslih. Autori su zabeležili razlike u nelagodnosti i zamoru mišića, uz uticaj telesnih dimenzija ispitanika na intenzitet tih ishoda. Zaključili su: „Phone design and anthropometry influenced the development of discomfort and fatigue during phone use.” To je mali uzorak i poređenje starijih tipova telefona, a ne test razlike od 50 grama između današnjih pametnih telefona. Širina uređaja može biti važna koliko i masa
U studiji iz 2018. sa 72 mlade osobe ispitivani su dužina šake, dimenzije telefona, masa, udobnost hvata i privlačnost dizajna. Testirani oblik bio je dimenzija 140 × 65 (ili 70) × 8 × 2,5 mm, sa masom od 122 g. U okviru tih uslova, ocene udobnosti i privlačnosti bile su uporedive za mase od 106 do 137 g. Autori su naveli: „Phone width was found to significantly influence grip comfort and design attractiveness.” To nije preporučena masa za današnje telefone niti zaključak koji važi za sve korisnike. Studija o ergonomskom obliku pametnog telefona.
Širi telefon i dosezanje jednom rukom
Studija iz 2016. ispitivala je zadnju interakciju sa telefonima širine 60 i 90 mm, uz uvažavanje dužine šake. U konkretnom zadatku, nelagodnost je bila 12,3% veća pri korišćenju telefona širine 90 mm nego modela širine 60 mm, a osobe sa manjim šakama prijavljivale su veću nelagodnost. Taj rezultat se odnosi na određeni zadatak i uzorak; ne predviđa udobnost svakog telefona u svakodnevnoj upotrebi. Studija o dosegu prsta i širini telefona.

Položaj i bol nisu dokaz da je uzrok masa
Studija iz 2024. sa 120 učesnika ispitivala je položaj korišćenja pametnog telefona, bol, trajanje korišćenja i funkciju šake. Autori su prijavili povezanost položaja ručnog zgloba i lakta sa merenim ishodima. Pošto je reč o opservacionom istraživanju, ono ne dokazuje da je težina telefona izazvala bol. Studija o položaju korišćenja, bolu i funkciji šake.
Kako da procenite telefon koji razmatrate
Umesto da tražite jednu „idealnu” masu, procenite kako se dimenzije i težina ponašaju zajedno u vašoj ruci.

Ove studije ne utvrđuju graničnu težinu koja uzrokuje bol, niti pokazuju da izbor lakšeg telefona može sprečiti ili lečiti tegobe. Ako se bol ili drugi simptomi uporno javljaju, obratite se kvalifikovanom zdravstvenom stručnjaku umesto da se oslanjate samo na promenu uređaja.
