Tencent EdgeOne Makers combines website deployment and AI Agent development on EdgeOne infrastructure. It is the successor to EdgeOne Pages, with Tencent saying it retains the previous product logic and features while adding native Agent support. Its documented workflows cover Git imports, templates, direct uploads for eligible website projects, and CLI-based Agent development. Tencent lists a free edition with specific quotas, but its commercial pricing is not yet stated in the reviewed documentation. The “in minutes” framing describes the vendor’s intended workflow, not an independently measured setup time.
What is Tencent EdgeOne Makers?
Makers is Tencent EdgeOne’s platform for building and deploying web projects and AI Agents. Tencent describes it as an upgrade of EdgeOne Pages rather than a separate product unrelated to Pages. The platform is designed to combine frontend hosting, dynamic APIs, edge and cloud functions, and Agent hosting. Tencent calls it an out-of-the-box Agent development platform; that is the vendor’s description, not an independent assessment of production readiness. How do I deploy a website with EdgeOne Makers?
Tencent documents three entry points for website projects: import a Git repository, start from a template, or upload files directly. Direct upload skips repository connection, which makes it a distinct option for eligible projects rather than a requirement to connect Git. The documented paths are intended for modern static sites, serverless applications, and full-stack projects. Tencent Cloud’s website deployment guide
Recommended Free Tools
- Choose a project source: use a repository import, a Makers template, or direct upload where the workflow supports it.
- Choose the deployment shape: align the project with the hosting and runtime it needs, such as a generated static site, single-page application, or full-stack application.
- Configure and deploy in Makers: follow the console workflow for the selected project. The cited deployment guide describes the available paths but does not establish a universal sequence of settings for every framework or project configuration.
Tencent’s documentation describes the product as a quick way to deploy websites, but it does not provide an independently measured build or deployment time. Actual setup depends on the project, its configuration, and the account and region in use.

Which web frameworks and project types does Makers document?
Tencent names several web frameworks and project styles, including Next.js, Nuxt, Astro, React, Vue, and Hexo. Its materials also discuss server-side rendering (SSR) and incremental static regeneration (ISR) projects. These are documented support paths, not a compatibility test for every framework version, plugin, or deployment configuration. Product introduction · Deployment Skills documentation
- Next.js: named for full-stack applications.
- Astro: named for statically generated sites.
- React: named for single-page applications.
- Nuxt, Vue, and Hexo: also listed in Makers deployment or Skills documentation.
- SSR and ISR: included among the documented project capabilities; confirm that your specific app configuration is supported before relying on it.
How do I create and deploy an AI Agent with Makers?
Tencent documents both a console template workflow and a command-line interface (CLI) workflow. The CLI example scaffolds an OpenAI Agents starter, starts its development environment, and then deploys it:

This is Tencent’s documented example, not a measured end-to-end setup time. The CLI deployment guide says the Skills workflow can guide an AI coding tool through tasks such as choosing an Agent framework or Edge/Cloud Functions, setting up the CLI, authenticating, building, uploading, and returning an online URL and console address. What does the Makers Agent runtime include?
The Agent overview describes a managed runtime for model calls, Agent-loop orchestration, and business logic. It also documents isolated sandbox APIs for browser, code execution, shell, and file operations; framework-adapted conversation and session management; tracing and observability; and built-in model access. These are platform capabilities described by Tencent and should be evaluated against an application’s own security, reliability, and operational requirements. Tencent EdgeOne Makers Agents overview
The overview distinguishes session-oriented workloads in an agents/ directory, routed by conversation_id, from stateless request workloads in cloud-functions/. It describes session stickiness while a conversation is active and says Agent execution can be configured up to 60 minutes. These design details are not evidence of a particular application’s performance or availability.

What are the EdgeOne Makers free-tier limits?
Tencent’s current Agent documentation lists the following free-edition quotas. They are vendor-published allowances, may change, and should not be treated as a guarantee of sustained production capacity. The overview separately describes a limited-time model trial for new users. Tencent EdgeOne Agents overview and quotas
| Allowance | Free-edition quota |
|---|---|
| Agent executions | 200,000 per month |
| Agent total memory time | 100,000 GB-s per month |
| Maximum Agent request runtime | 3,600 seconds |
| Maximum Agent session idle time | 300 seconds |
| Concurrent running Agent sessions | 40 |
| Sandbox memory time | 100,000 GB-s per month |
| Concurrent sandbox sessions | 20 |
| Maximum sandbox instance runtime | 3,600 seconds |
| Default sandbox timeout | 300 seconds |
| New-user model trial | 500,000 tokens per account, shared across projects; limited-time offer |
The model trial is separate from the monthly Agent and sandbox quotas. Tencent describes it as a limited-time new-user allowance, not a recurring monthly token allocation.

Is EdgeOne Makers free, and what does it cost?
Tencent’s Agent page says Makers currently offers a free edition and that a commercial edition is being planned. It says specific commercial pricing and quotas will be updated through a console announcement after release; the documentation reviewed does not establish a commercial price schedule. Check the Makers console for current availability and terms before estimating ongoing costs. Tencent EdgeOne Agents overview
Which account and region should you use?
Tencent’s deployment Skills documentation distinguishes China-site accounts from international-site accounts at edgeone.ai and states that the account systems are independent. The reviewed documentation does not establish that the two account environments have identical features or quotas. Confirm that the site and account you plan to use match your target deployment, and verify the applicable service availability and limits in that account.
What should developers verify before relying on Makers?
Makers’ documentation outlines a broad workflow, but a successful deployment in a particular project still depends on its framework version, configuration, dependencies, and runtime needs. Before committing an application, verify the parts that matter to your own release:

Quick Recap
- Build and deploy a representative project using the exact framework and configuration you intend to ship.
- Test any required SSR, ISR, API, or Agent behavior rather than inferring support from a framework name alone.
- Check the current quotas and account-specific availability in the console, especially if the workload needs concurrent sessions or long-running requests.
- Evaluate sandbox permissions, data handling, tracing, and failure recovery against your security and operational requirements.
- Measure your own setup and deployment time; Tencent’s “quick” and “in minutes” framing is not an independent timing result.
