There is no separate Microsoft product called the “Tenant Attach Dashboard.” Tenant attach is the Configuration Manager integration that uploads managed devices to the Microsoft Intune admin center. Administrators configure the upload in the Configuration Manager console, then view uploaded devices and use supported cloud actions in the Intune admin center.

What tenant attach does—and where its dashboard is

Tenant attach connects Configuration Manager-managed devices with the Intune admin center. Once devices synchronize, administrators can view them there and use supported actions such as running PowerShell scripts, installing apps, running CMPivot queries, and reviewing event timelines. See Microsoft’s device sync and device actions documentation.

The workflow spans two interfaces: configuration and upload are managed in the Configuration Manager console; device visibility and supported actions are in the Intune admin center. To find uploaded devices, go to Devices > All devices. Check the Managed by column for ConfigMgr. Microsoft’s current-branch guide explains device sync and actions.

What to check before enabling tenant attach

Confirm the account, licensing, service health, geography, permissions, and network access before starting. Microsoft’s tenant attach prerequisites cover the details and required endpoints.

Enable tenant attach in the Configuration Manager console

  1. Open the Cloud Attach area. In the Configuration Manager console, go to Administration > Cloud Services > Cloud Attach. Microsoft’s Cloud Attach setup guide describes the current path.
  2. Choose the setup route that matches your environment. If co-management is already enabled, edit its properties to configure upload. If it is not enabled, use the Cloud Attach Configuration Wizard. In Configuration Manager version 2103 and earlier, the documentation places this under the Co-management node.
  3. Review the device scope. Where the setup path offers it, choose to upload all Configuration Manager-managed devices or a selected collection. Check the chosen scope against your organization’s access and governance requirements before proceeding.
  4. Review the summary and apply the configuration. Confirm the settings shown by the wizard before completing setup. Microsoft’s Cloud Attach configuration instructions explain the available choices.
  5. Verify synchronization in the Intune admin center. After devices synchronize, open Devices > All devices and check for the devices and their Managed by value.

Choose the right upload scope

The central scope decision is whether to upload all managed devices or limit upload to a collection. The appropriate choice depends on the organization’s governance needs; there is no universal best scope. Microsoft documents the setup choices in its Cloud Attach guide.

Scope What it means When to consider it
All managed devices Uploads the Configuration Manager-managed device population covered by the setup. Consider when the organization wants broad cloud visibility and its policies allow that scope.
Selected collection Limits upload to devices in the chosen collection. Consider when onboarding should be limited to a governed subset or a staged group.

Do not confuse tenant attach with the other Cloud Attach options

Cloud Attach’s simplified setup can include tenant attach alongside other options, such as automatic Intune enrollment for eligible devices, Endpoint analytics, and Defender for Endpoint reporting data. Those are separate capabilities or setup choices; they are not all inherent parts of tenant attach itself. Review the wizard selections carefully and enable only what your deployment intends. Microsoft outlines the broader setup in its Cloud Attach documentation.

Known limitation: device-list APIs

Configuration Manager devices are currently excluded from device lists retrieved through PowerShell or the Microsoft Graph API. If you need an export that includes uploaded Configuration Manager devices, Microsoft points administrators to the All devices export in the Intune admin center. See the tenant attach prerequisites and limitations.

If devices do not appear after setup

  • Recheck the prerequisites, including the service connection point’s required network endpoints and the matching geographic locations.
  • Confirm that tenant attach was configured in the correct console location for your Configuration Manager version.
  • Review the selected upload scope and verify that the expected devices are included.
  • Check Devices > All devices in the Intune admin center and use the Managed by column to identify ConfigMgr-managed entries.
