Tarred Fragment drops from the Tarblighted Stoner mini-boss in the Sanguine Caverns, just beyond the Sanguine Shoreline Beacon. It is a Sidearm Ability Tarstone that costs 50 Resolve; its upgrades extend the spinning projectiles’ duration and, at level 4, increase their range.
Where to find Tarred Fragment
Go to the Sanguine Caverns and follow the route to the Sanguine Shoreline Beacon. The mini-boss encounter is below a nearby ledge; defeat the Tarblighted Stoner to receive the Tarred Fragment drop. PowerPyx lists it as Tarstone #70 after the Sanguine Shoreline Beacon. NerdsChalk and PowerPyx support this location and drop route.
- Enter the Sanguine Caverns by crossing the wooden bridge.
- Cleanse the corrupted gate beacon and pass through the gate.
- Continue until you reach the Sanguine Shoreline Beacon.
- Drop from the nearby ledge into the mini-boss area.
- Defeat the Tarblighted Stoner and collect the drop.
Enemy naming differs among guides: one calls the mini-boss the Tarblighted Sinner, while two use Tarblighted Stoner. The latter is the better-supported name in the location guides. All Things How uses the alternate name.
