Important limitation: Tales of Eternia Remastered launched worldwide on October 16, 2026, but the publisher’s published material does not yet provide an authoritative item, monster, title, missable-event or achievement list. This guide therefore gives a verified route framework and a safe tracking method without inventing collectible names or completion counts.
Spoiler warning: The route below follows the adventure from its opening in Inferia through the move to Celestia and the endgame. Use separate manual saves before every major story transition and before entering an area that may become inaccessible.
What is confirmed about the remaster
Tales of Eternia Remastered is a single-player RPG built around the Aggressive Linear Motion Battle System, with dynamic 2D combat across the intertwined worlds of Inferia and Celestia. Reid Hershel travels with Farah, Keele and Meredy while the group tries to prevent a disaster threatening both worlds. The remaster released for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam on October 16, 2026.

- Unknown difficulty: unlocks after completing the game.
- Graphics Mode and SFX Mode: can independently switch between remastered and original presentation.
Set up a completion run before leaving the opening area
- Choose Normal for a first story run or Extreme if you specifically want the remaster’s harder starting option. Unknown is not a starting choice; it becomes available after a clear.
- Create at least three rotating manual saves. Keep one before story scenes, one at the latest save point and one reserved for optional content.
- Pick remastered or original graphics and sound independently. These are presentation settings, not separate gameplay modes, so changing them does not replace your completion checklist.
- Start a written log with these columns: area, chest or pickup, shop inventory, recipe or skill opportunity, save point, skit or scene, monster entry, title condition, boss type and permanently missable status.
- After every battle, inspect the results and record new monster information immediately. Do not rely on memory after a long dungeon.
Spoiler-marked chronological route
1. Opening in Inferia
Follow the initial story sequence with Reid, Farah and Keele. Before advancing a story marker, exhaust dialogue in the current settlement, inspect every visible container and check every shop inventory. Record prices and stock even when you cannot yet afford an item; shops can change after major events.

- Activate every visible save point before entering a dungeon.
- Fight at least one normal encounter in each new area so its enemy names can be logged separately from bosses.
- Speak to party members and residents again after a major scene. Optional dialogue and skits are the most likely content to be overlooked when a player rushes to the next objective.
- When a recipe, cooking instruction, skill, title condition or minigame becomes available, write down the trigger and leave a manual save before testing it.
2. Inferian dungeons and world-map transitions
Advance through the Inferia portion one destination at a time. At each dungeon entrance, make a save and clear the map methodically rather than following only the objective marker. Open every chest, check side corridors and record whether a room contains a normal encounter, a boss encounter or an optional interaction.
Before using any transport, ship, portal or other world-map transition, return to the last settlement and repeat the following check:

- Review every shop and buy unique equipment, consumables or ingredients that are currently available.
- Talk to each named party member and any resident connected to the current plot.
- Check for new skits, recipes, skills, titles and minigames.
- Save in a separate slot and note the transition in your log.
The official material confirms the two-world structure but does not publish the remaster’s complete town, dungeon or transition list. Do not treat an unverified online checklist as definitive unless it identifies the remaster version and the game’s own names.
3. The move from Inferia to Celestia
Treat the first crossing into Celestia as a potential point of no return even though a universal missables list has not been published. Finish all currently available settlement conversations, shopping, optional scenes and minigames before triggering the crossing. Keep the pre-transition save permanently.

Once in Celestia, begin a second area log instead of mixing entries with Inferia. Repeat the same sequence at every new town, dungeon and world-map stop: save, sweep the map, inspect shops, speak to residents, trigger party dialogue, record monster entries and only then continue the story.
4. Celestian story chapters
Use the main objective as a guide, not as a completion checklist. Whenever the game opens a new route, revisit earlier accessible locations first. Shops, recipes, skills, titles and optional scenes can be tied to story progress, and the available evidence does not establish which of these are permanently missable in the remaster.

- Keep one save before every major dungeon boss.
- After a boss, return to the nearest settlement before entering the next story area.
- Record boss names separately from ordinary monsters and mark whether the fight was mandatory or optional.
- Do not sell a unique-looking item until its use, recipe role or title requirement has been confirmed in your own log.
5. Final story sequence and clear
Before entering the final sequence, make a dedicated endgame save. Complete every accessible optional conversation, shop check, recipe, skill, minigame and side encounter first. Finish the story, then reload the endgame save for cleanup rather than overwriting it.

Mark an entry “not stated” only when the game or a verified platform list has not supplied the value. Do not convert an unconfirmed absence into a claim that something is missable.
Achievements, trophies and platform differences
The Steam product page confirms Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud. It does not, by itself, establish the complete achievement names, conditions or total. Console trophy and achievement lists should be checked against the published list for the specific platform and region; the available official material does not verify those lists yet.

For a platform-specific 100% run, copy each published achievement or trophy condition into the same area log used for items and monsters. Attach the condition to the save or story trigger that enables it, and keep a backup save before attempting any one-time challenge.

Post-game cleanup
After the ending, load the dedicated endgame save and check the world for newly available optional bosses, titles, minigames and encyclopedia entries. The remaster’s Unknown difficulty is confirmed as a post-clear unlock, so start a separate run if you want to tackle it without risking your completion file. Because no authoritative superboss, title or encyclopedia list has been published, verify each entry by its exact in-game name and record the reward and unlock condition yourself.
