Buy Standard if you want the complete Tales of Eternia Remastered story at the lowest cost. Choose Digital Deluxe only when its digital artbook and soundtrack, additional battle music, and growth-support items justify the premium. Neither publisher’s edition list identifies a Deluxe-only campaign, playable character, or other story chapter.
In Europe, Standard is listed at €29.99 and Digital Deluxe at €49.99. That €20 difference pays for extras around the game, not more core adventure. A separate Deluxe Upgrade Pack is listed at €24.99. Physical Switch and Switch 2 packages are listed separately in Japan, so buyers who prefer a cartridge should verify the package edition, region, language, and current local availability before paying.
Edition contents and prices at a glance
The two editions contain the same remastered RPG. The meaningful choice is whether you want the digital media, extra battle tracks, and consumable assistance items bundled with Digital Deluxe.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What both editions include
Standard and Digital Deluxe both provide the remastered adventure set across Inferia and Celestia. Reid Hershel, Farah Oersted, and Meredy confront the Grand Fall as the story moves between the two worlds. Buying Standard does not remove any portion of that campaign.
The remaster launches on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Steam. Bandai Namco’s global announcement gives October 16, 2026 as the launch date. Steam records October 15, 2026 for its regional PC release timestamp, so the date shown on your PC storefront can differ because of regional release timing.
Remaster conveniences in both versions
Every edition receives the same quality-of-life and presentation updates:
- Destination markers make objectives and important locations easier to identify.
- Boost controls let you adjust experience gain and encounter frequency, useful when you want to level quickly or reduce random battles.
- High-speed auto-battle accelerates routine fights after you have set up your party.
- Battle Retry lets you retry a fight instead of restarting from an earlier save after a defeat.
- Quick Recovery provides a faster way to restore the party between encounters.
- Graphics and sound-effect toggles let you adjust presentation options to suit your preference.
- English and Japanese voice options are included.
- Extreme difficulty is available from the start, while Unknown difficulty unlocks after completion.
These systems are part of the remaster itself, not incentives reserved for Deluxe buyers. If you are choosing Standard because you want the lower price, you still receive the modern controls and difficulty options that distinguish this release from the original version.
“Nothing about the original adventure has been lost along the way, and the choice of how to play it is always yours.” — Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe marketing team, 2026.
What Digital Deluxe adds
Digital Deluxe is a bundle of optional extras layered on top of the identical base game. Consider each component separately rather than treating the name “Deluxe” as shorthand for additional story.

- 5-in-1 USB-C Hub: Experience comprehensive connectivity featuring a Power Delivery input, two USB-A 2.0 ports, a USB-A 3.0 port, and an HDMI port. (Note: The USB-C power delivery input port is only for connecting an external wall charger to power your laptop and cannot power peripheral devices.)
- 90W Pass-Through Charging: Achieve optimal charging with 90W pass-through power to your laptop, supported by a total input of 100W, with the hub reserving 10W for operational efficiency. (Note: Wall charger not included.)
- Quick Data Transfers: Accelerate your productivity with rapid data transfers using a high-speed 5Gbps USB 3.0 port and two 480Mbps USB 2.0 ports.

Please note that this hub is compatible with MacBook (macOS 12 and newer), Windows 10 and 11, ChromeOS, and laptops equipped with DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery. Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Super Growth Support Item Set
This set contains consumable growth-support items. They are intended to make progression more convenient, whether you want to accelerate early development, smooth out a difficult stretch, or spend less time grinding. The available material identifies the set but does not publish a complete item-by-item quantity list, effect table, or restriction by difficulty. Treat the items as convenience resources rather than a new progression system.
Because the items are consumable, their value depends on how you play. A first-time player who enjoys normal progression may barely use them. A player replaying the game, experimenting with Extreme difficulty, or trying to reach a particular level quickly may value the time saved. They do not replace the base game’s combat, exploration, or story content.
Battle BGM Pack
The Battle BGM Pack adds music options for combat. It changes the soundtrack available during battles, not the campaign’s encounters or mechanics. This is the most practical Deluxe extra for players who replay fights frequently and want more audio variety. If you normally play with the music muted or use your own playlist, it contributes little to the purchase decision.
Digital Artbook & Soundtrack
The digital artbook and soundtrack are media extras for people who want to examine the game’s artwork or listen away from the game. They are separate from the playable software and do not add scenes, quests, or characters. Their usefulness is highest for series collectors, soundtrack listeners, and anyone who values digital ownership of the presentation material.
What is not listed as a Deluxe exclusive
The publisher’s edition descriptions do not list an additional story campaign, a new playable character, a separate world area, or a different ending for Digital Deluxe. Both editions follow the same remastered adventure with the same party and the same core features. If your reason for upgrading is narrative expansion, the published contents do not support paying extra for that purpose.

Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →How much value does the premium represent?
Using the European publisher prices, Digital Deluxe costs €20 more than Standard (€49.99 minus €29.99). That is a 66.7% increase over the Standard price, calculated from the listed figures. The premium is therefore substantial for a bundle whose additions are optional media and convenience items.

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
| Region or storefront | Standard | Digital Deluxe | Difference | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe listing, 2026 | €29.99 | €49.99 | €20.00 | Deluxe is 66.7% above Standard based on the listed prices |
| Steam Korean storefront, accessed 2026 | ₩39,800 | ₩69,800 | ₩30,000 | Deluxe is about 75.4% above Standard based on the displayed regional prices |
The separate European Deluxe Upgrade Pack is €24.99, which is €5 more than the €20 gap between the publisher’s Standard and Deluxe prices. That does not necessarily make buying Standard first a bad choice: the upgrade can be useful if you are undecided, but the final combined cost would be higher than purchasing Deluxe up front at the listed European prices. Check the store page for your platform because upgrade pricing, taxes, and package rules can differ.
Who should buy Standard?
First-time players who want the complete adventure
Standard is the straightforward choice for a first playthrough. You receive the whole remastered campaign, the updated interface and battle conveniences, both voice languages, and every listed difficulty option. Nothing in the published Deluxe contents changes the story you are buying.
Budget-focused players
If €29.99 is within your budget while €49.99 would make the purchase uncomfortable, choose Standard. The lower entry price leaves room for another game or downloadable content without sacrificing the main experience. The value judgment is especially clear when you do not expect to use growth items or revisit the art and music after finishing.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesPlayers who prefer unmodified progression
Some players want every level and resource to come from ordinary battles and exploration. Standard avoids giving you a bundle of consumable growth-support items that you may feel tempted to use. You can still select Extreme from the beginning and unlock Unknown after completion without buying Deluxe.
Players buying on sale
Store discounts can narrow or reverse the normal price gap. Compare the live Standard and Deluxe totals at checkout rather than assuming the original €20 difference applies during a promotion. A discounted Deluxe edition can make the extras easier to justify, while a deeply discounted Standard edition remains the better value if you only want the campaign.
Who should buy Digital Deluxe?
Soundtrack and artbook collectors
Digital Deluxe is aimed at people who will actually open the digital artbook and listen to the soundtrack. If those materials have lasting value for you beyond the playthrough, the premium buys content that Standard does not include.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
Players who replay or experiment with difficulty
The Super Growth Support Item Set can reduce routine leveling time, and the Battle BGM Pack adds variety to repeated encounters. These are convenience and presentation benefits, not power that unlocks a different ending. Choose Deluxe when saving time and having more battle music matters more than minimizing the initial price.
Fans who want the complete digital bundle at launch
Buying Deluxe up front gives you all three listed extras without relying on a later upgrade purchase. At the European prices, this is cheaper than buying Standard and the €24.99 Upgrade Pack separately. The decision still depends on whether you would use the extras; a lower total for unused content is not a saving.
Physical Switch and Switch 2 editions
Bandai Namco Japan’s product table distinguishes package and download products. It lists package Standard editions for Switch and Switch 2, download Standard editions, a package-only special edition, a download-only Deluxe Edition, and a Deluxe Upgrade Pack. The existence of those Japanese listings confirms physical packages for the two Nintendo platforms, but it does not establish identical package availability in every country.
| Japanese package bonus | Where it appears |
|---|---|
| Reversible jacket | Physical package listings |
| Three-pin badge set | Physical special-edition materials |
| Acrylic diorama | Physical special-edition materials |
| Eight illustration cards | Physical special-edition materials |
| 13-piece sticker set | Physical special-edition materials |
The Japanese table also lists the Deluxe digital contents—Super Growth Support Item Set, Battle BGM Pack, and Digital Artbook & Soundtrack—alongside the download-only Deluxe row. Do not assume that a package bought elsewhere includes these same physical bonuses or that a Japanese cartridge has the language, account compatibility, or downloadable-content rights you want.
When shopping for a physical copy, verify four details on the live listing: the platform (Switch or Switch 2), the region, whether the item is Standard or a special package, and whether any code-based extras are included and redeemable in your account region. Official sources do not verify a particular retailer’s inventory, seller, stock level, language support, or current price, so those details must be checked at the time of purchase.
Can you upgrade from Standard to Deluxe later?
A Deluxe Upgrade Pack is listed at €24.99 on the European publisher page, and Steam shows a separate Deluxe Upgrade Pack among its downloadable products. This indicates a path for owners who start with Standard and later decide they want the Deluxe extras. It does not establish that one purchase works across different platforms or storefronts.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Buy the upgrade through the same platform account and storefront that owns your base game, and confirm the product description before paying. A PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, or Steam purchase normally follows that platform’s licensing rules; the available listing is the authority for your account and region. Do not assume that a physical cartridge automatically grants a digital Deluxe entitlement, or that a PC upgrade transfers to a console copy.
At the European listed prices, buying Standard first and then the €24.99 upgrade would total €54.98, which is €4.99 more than buying Digital Deluxe at €49.99. Starting with Standard is still sensible if you are uncertain, if the upgrade is discounted later, or if you may decide that the extras are unnecessary. It is not the lowest-cost route when both prices remain unchanged.
Buying on Steam and consoles: a practical checklist
- Confirm the platform row. Select the edition for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, or Steam that matches the device you will use. The remaster is listed across all of those platforms, but licenses are platform-specific.
- Check your storefront currency and region. The €29.99 and €49.99 figures come from the European publisher listing, while ₩39,800 and ₩69,800 are displayed by Steam for Korea. Your store may show a different currency, tax treatment, or promotional price.
- Read the contents panel. Look for the exact Deluxe names: Super Growth Support Item Set, Battle BGM Pack, and Digital Artbook & Soundtrack. If a listing describes only level-up items or a soundtrack, verify whether it is the full Deluxe bundle or a separate DLC product.
- Decide whether you need a physical package. For Switch or Switch 2, compare the local package listing with the digital edition. Japanese physical bonuses are not automatically included in products sold in other regions.
- Review upgrade terms before choosing Standard. If you may upgrade later, confirm that a Deluxe Upgrade Pack is offered for your platform and region. Compare its live price with the current Deluxe edition rather than relying on the European €24.99 figure.
- Check the purchase total at checkout. Taxes, currency conversion, and time-limited promotions can change the amount shown on the product page. Save the receipt or order record if you are buying a package that includes redeemable codes.
How the decision changes by play style
You want one story-focused playthrough
Choose Standard. The campaign, cast, worlds, remaster improvements, voice options, and difficulty settings are shared. The Deluxe extras are unlikely to change your understanding of the story or your access to its ending.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →You plan a challenge run
Standard remains sufficient because Extreme is available immediately and Unknown unlocks after completion in both editions. Deluxe’s growth items may help you prepare, but using consumables can undermine a self-imposed challenge. Decide whether convenience or a stricter progression experience is your priority.
You replay classic RPGs for music and presentation
Digital Deluxe is the better fit if you will listen to the soundtrack, browse the artbook, and use the Battle BGM Pack during repeated fights. Those are the elements that continue to have value after the first clear.
You collect physical Nintendo releases
Investigate the local package and special-edition listings before selecting either digital edition. The Japanese catalog demonstrates that physical bonuses can be tied to a particular package and region. A digital Deluxe purchase does not provide a reversible jacket, badges, cards, diorama, or stickers.
Steam review context
Steam’s storefront snapshot accessed in 2026 shows 86% positive from 107 user reviews. This is a changing user-review sample for the game and is not a critic score or an evaluation of the price difference between Standard and Deluxe. It can provide a quick sense of current player sentiment, but it should not be treated as evidence that the Deluxe extras improve the campaign.
Recommended Free Tools
Decision in one minute
- Choose Standard when your priority is the full remastered game, the lowest price, or an unassisted progression path.
- Choose Digital Deluxe when you specifically want the artbook and soundtrack, additional battle music, and growth-support consumables, and you accept the higher upfront cost.
- Choose a physical Switch or Switch 2 package only after checking the local region, package contents, language, and stock; Japanese bonus items should not be assumed to ship with every international listing.
- If you are undecided, Standard plus a later upgrade is possible where your platform lists the Deluxe Upgrade Pack, but the European prices make that route €4.99 more expensive than buying Deluxe initially.
Standard is the value recommendation because it contains the complete remaster. Digital Deluxe is a preference purchase for media collectors and players who will use its convenience items, not a requirement for accessing additional story content.
