Short answer: The Deluxe Edition adds three digital bonus groups—the Super Growth Support Item Set, Battle BGM Pack, and Digital Artbook & Soundtrack—to the base game. No official source reviewed describes an expiring claim window for those bonuses, but that does not prove every story or side-content item is non-missable. No verified universal promotional code, code string, or in-game code menu has been published. Most importantly, Nintendo says save data cannot be shared between the Nintendo Switch version and the separate Nintendo Switch 2 version; Nintendo Switch Online Save Data Cloud does not override that warning.
What is Tales of Eternia Remastered?
Tales of Eternia Remastered is Bandai Namco’s remaster of the 2001 role-playing game. It launched on October 16, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam. The Steam product released on October 15, 2026, and lists TOSE Co., Ltd. as developer and Bandai Namco Entertainment as publisher.
The single-player adventure follows Reid Hershel, Farah Oersted, Keele, and Meredy through Inferia and Celestia as they work to prevent the Grand Fall. Its battle system is the Aggressive Linear Motion Battle System. The remaster adds Boost controls, optional destination icons, encounter disabling, high-speed Auto mode, Battle Retry, Quick Recovery, Extreme difficulty from the beginning, and an Unknown difficulty that unlocks after completion.

Graphics and sound effects can each be switched between original and remastered presentation during play. English and Japanese voice options are documented. These presentation and quality-of-life features are part of the game release, not separate Deluxe DLC.

Standard, Deluxe, and Upgrade editions
The Standard Edition contains the base game. The Deluxe Edition is a digital-only bundle that adds three documented bonus groups. Existing owners can buy a Deluxe Upgrade Pack; Bandai Namco Europe lists it at €24.99, while noting that prices and availability vary by region.
| Edition or add-on | Who it suits | Documented contents |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | New players who want the game only | Tales of Eternia Remastered base game |
| Deluxe Edition | New digital buyers who want the bonus bundle | Base game, Battle BGM Pack, Digital Artbook & Soundtrack, and Super Growth Support Item Set |
| Deluxe Upgrade Pack | Owners of the base game | The Deluxe bonus content as a separate add-on; Bandai Namco Europe lists €24.99, subject to regional pricing and availability |
What each Deluxe bonus contains
- Super Growth Support Item Set: a collection of consumable items intended to support character growth.
- Battle BGM Pack: standard battle themes from previous Tales games.
- Digital Artbook & Soundtrack: a digital collection combining artwork and music.
Steam also lists separate level-up DLC products named Lv. Up+5 (1–4) and Lv. Up+10 (1–2). Those are storefront catalog entries, not part of the three Deluxe groups described on the official edition pages. Do not assume that buying Deluxe grants these level-up products.
Are Deluxe bonuses missable?
The official edition and storefront descriptions treat the Deluxe contents as digital entitlements associated with an edition or add-on. The reviewed listings do not specify a story checkpoint, one-time in-game claim period, or expiration date for the Battle BGM Pack, Digital Artbook & Soundtrack, or Super Growth Support Item Set.
That supports a narrow conclusion: no official missable DLC claim window has been documented for these bonuses. It does not establish that every item, event, quest, or reward in the underlying adventure is permanently available. A lack of a DLC claim-window warning is not evidence that ordinary story or side-content missables do not exist.

If the add-on does not appear, first verify that the purchase was made on the same platform family and account that is running the game, then check the platform’s downloadable-content management screen and restart the game. The exact entitlement-refresh procedure differs among Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam, so use the instructions supplied by that platform rather than looking for a universal in-game chest or code.
How to redeem a Tales of Eternia Remastered code
No official source reviewed publishes a promotional code string, a universal code-entry menu, an expiry date, or a complete region-by-region code policy for this game. The documented purchase routes are platform storefront editions and DLC products.
For a code supplied by a legitimate promotion, follow the platform account instructions that came with that promotion:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →- Sign in to the Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam account that owns the game and is located in the promotion’s eligible region.
- Open that platform’s Redeem Code or equivalent store function, if the promotion directs you to one. The menu name and location are platform-specific.
- Enter the code exactly as issued and confirm the account, region, product, and terms shown before accepting it.
- After redemption, check the platform’s library or downloadable-content management page. Download or install the add-on if it is not automatic.
- Start the game and verify that the entitlement is present. If it is missing, close and relaunch the game after the platform finishes synchronizing the purchase.
Do not use an alleged “universal” code list or an unverified expiry date. A code can be region-locked, account-bound, promotional, or limited to a particular edition. Without the promotion’s own instructions, there is no reliable game-specific sequence to provide.

Can a Switch save move to Switch 2?
No—not according to Nintendo’s explicit product warning. Nintendo states: “Save data cannot be shared between the Nintendo Switch™ version and the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version.” Treat the two versions as separate save environments even though both are supported platforms for the remaster.
The Nintendo Switch product also lists Nintendo Switch Online Save Data Cloud support. That service can back up the Switch product’s save data, but the published cross-version warning means cloud backup should not be treated as a conversion or migration path to the separate Switch 2 version. Keep the original Switch installation and save until you have confirmed what the version you intend to play supports.
Other platform transfers
Steam lists Steam Cloud for the PC release. No cited official source establishes save transfer between Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, or Nintendo Switch 2. Do not promise cross-platform portability, and do not assume that a cloud service on one platform can restore a save to another platform family.
Which platform and edition should you choose?
Choose Standard when you want the base adventure
Standard is the straightforward option if you only want the remastered game and do not need the additional music, digital reference material, or consumable growth items. It is also the starting point for anyone who may later decide to buy the separate Deluxe Upgrade Pack.

Choose Deluxe for the complete digital bundle
Deluxe is aimed at new digital buyers who want all three documented bonus groups immediately. Remember that it is described as digital only, and regional storefront pricing and availability can differ.
Choose the Upgrade Pack if you already own Standard
The Upgrade Pack is the add-on route for a base-game owner. Bandai Namco Europe lists €24.99, but that figure is regional and should not be generalized to every storefront. Confirm that the upgrade is sold for the same platform version as your base game before purchasing.
Account for the Switch-versus-Switch-2 save split
If you have an active Switch save, platform choice matters more than the Deluxe bonuses: Nintendo’s warning means purchasing or downloading the Switch 2 version should not be planned as a continuation of that save. Start on the version where you intend to keep your progress.
What is included in the remaster itself?
The core release is single-player and includes the remaster’s quality-of-life systems regardless of whether you buy Standard or Deluxe. Boost controls provide additional battle control, while encounter disabling and high-speed Auto mode change the pace of exploration and combat. Battle Retry and Quick Recovery reduce the cost of failed encounters. Extreme difficulty is available from the start, and Unknown difficulty becomes available after completing the game.

- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.

The graphics and SFX toggles are separate presentation controls: you can switch between original and remastered visuals and sound effects during play. They do not represent separate editions, and the documented English and Japanese voice options are part of the release’s language support.
Common DLC and save problems
The Deluxe purchase is not visible
- Confirm that the game and add-on use the same platform family and account.
- Check the platform’s library or downloadable-content page for a pending download.
- Restart the game after the platform reports that installation or entitlement synchronization is complete.
- If the store lists the item but the game does not, contact that platform’s support channel with the transaction record; there is no universal in-game code procedure to substitute.
A code is rejected
- Recheck the region, account, edition, and promotional conditions.
- Enter the characters exactly as supplied, avoiding spaces added by copying.
- Do not infer that a rejected code proves the game has a different universal code menu; no such menu is documented in the official material reviewed.
A Switch cloud save will not appear on Switch 2
This is consistent with Nintendo’s stated incompatibility between the Switch and Switch 2 versions. Cloud backup does not change the two-version save boundary. Continue on the original Switch version or begin a new save on Switch 2.
You expect level-up items from Deluxe
Check the store receipt and product listing. Steam catalogs Lv. Up+5 (1–4) and Lv. Up+10 (1–2) separately, while the official Deluxe description names the Super Growth Support Item Set, Battle BGM Pack, and Digital Artbook & Soundtrack. The level-up entries should not be assumed to be included unless your regional listing explicitly says so.

Deluxe is a three-part digital bonus bundle, not a guarantee of every separately listed level-up add-on. The documented Deluxe items have no published expiry or one-time claim window, but ordinary game missables remain a separate question. Redeem any genuine promotion through the platform instructions attached to that promotion; there is no verified universal code or code menu to quote. Finally, treat Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 as separate save ecosystems, even though Nintendo Switch Online Save Data Cloud supports the Switch product and Steam Cloud supports the PC version.
